    After seeing this, I grabbed some black electrical tape and did this to my old wood windows, and I could tell the difference right away! Thanks!!!!

    awesome idea. Thank you. I just did to my windows with cottonballs and can already tell an immediate difference. I put electrical tape on the seal of my window to test it out and sure enough that cold breeze is gone. I'm gonna get some of that tape as well to seal the rest. Thank you again! I know this is an old video but I hope others having this issue will see this because this could help you as well!

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will do this to my drafty window in my office upstairs. Also, I appreciate the tip about not sealing all windows because of emergencies like a fire.

    Cotton balls are a great idea. Only video I found that solves that little spot.
    Is there a permanent solution? I bet in summer the heat will be an issue.

    great job!...I can't think of what you would call it, but on top of your bottom window, don't some people put sort of thicker material... like tubing of sorts ..i forget the name..

    I am here because... I have drafty windows throughout my old house. ☁️🌬🥶
    Every winter, I use the 3M Window Insulation Kit to cover windows throughout my house...and then take it down in the Spring, along with trying to remove what tape I can from the woodwork. 🥴 It's a chore and looks unsightly, but...definitely helps to keep much of yhe drafts out. 👌
    Wondering how this would compare? 🤔 Definitely less time-consuming and looks much much better, if nothing else, but... How does it compare to plastic-wrapping? 🤔

    Great idea! I will be trying this. I have wood windows, will it peel off the paint?

    • @ryanf.7933
      @ryanf.7933  Год назад

      If the paint is in good condition, it should be OK and not peel off.

    Did you notice any difference on soundproofing road noise?

    • @ryanf.7933

      Yes. By sealing gaps, it helps with sound proofing as well

    Hi Ryan! Do you think 3/4" will do?

    • @ryanf.7933
      @ryanf.7933  3 месяца назад

      I would go with the 1" so there's plenty of adhesion on both sides of the gap.
