Most the times your draft can be fixed with wd40 silicone. Sometimes I agree the wear to the hinges is that bad it only fixes it partially and you still don’t get a solid seal.
Hey, how would you fix the same type of window if when opened, the top half tilts out more and one of the hinges on the top is a bit loose? Which leaves a gap on the top corner even when the window is closed, thank you
How to find out if u have faulty seals take five pound note put it between gasket and frame and feel the tension on note asu try to pull it out if there is u have a seal don’t forget to put vaselene in corner of hinge and wd 40 on sliding parts of hinge .Who said windows are maintenance free u need to look after them
first part of the video was very helpful, identified where the offending draft is coming in from...and temporarily fixed with loo roll lol, will get someone out to fix it as changing hinges etc is beyond my capabilities.
My problem is that the fixed window in one of my bedroom double glazed units has a gap pretty much all the way round. Not the glass itself but but where the glass enclosure unit fits into the window frame. The seal does not even touch The house is a new build but is out of its 2 year warranty and the only reason we noticed it was because my wife was complaining that the room always seems colder than the rest of the house. Any advice would be gratefully received😊
you explain that if there is a gap in the corners opposite the handle then the problem is with the hinges. However, what if the gap/draught is coming from the corners on the SAME side as the handle? I have adjusted the cams and 1 corner is now tight but the other corner is still a bit loose. Would you say it's the rubber or a new cam lock needed ?
My newly fitted windows , have draught coming through in the bottom , below the handle corner … adjustments haven’t helped ..: the black rubber is actually fixed .. can you help please
So it's fine to replace the standard flapper gaskets with bubble gaskets? Bubble gaskets seem much better than the flapper ones that came with the windows 👍🏼

I've got about 2mm gap between the gasket and the corner of the window under the handle. The windows are brand new. What should be done about this? Also we have a vertical smear on the window that is visible in certain lights should this be sorted out by the company?
Hi, how do you fix a loose top window without having to buy anything extra? E.g. you want to open the top window a little bit but it automatically opens fully. Thanks

No explanation ref changing hinge fixes draft! Do the hinges wear so much, or do screws move to give too much leeway

Such a long winded process u have e explained.....use an allen key to tighten the noddle on the locking mechanism....job done🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

You need to replace the hinges. Best getting a window fitter in it's a small job for them

stupid not helpful at all.....mine were leaking so I just use plastic filler which can be removed in summer.
