Your tiny bottles made me think of something from over a decade ago. I worked for a major fabric and craft chain in the USA. Polymer clay was a new trend and I was standing at a display of tiny bottles with clay designs baked on and little toppers or corks. Onside were messages of hope and encouragement for those with cancer, especially children. They used either chemo or insulin bottles. The artist who created them originally had a child with brain cancer. I stood there crying. It is now 2021 and in 2016 was diagnosed with cancer #1 of 3 tumors and surgeries. I have seen old and young, waiting in fear and in despair for a radiation treatment or chemo. Every possible challenge of cancer survival is scary and my heart goes out to babies and children facing it. ONE day in the future a mudlarker will find all these chemo and insulin bottles and wonder ..... were they perfume or poison bottles or what. I hope Bottles of Hope persists and someone like Alex says, I think it may have been a bottle of hope.

Not necessarily. I tore up the ligaments in my left knee just after I turned eighteen. I've had a bit of trouble standing since then. Plus, we don't know how old Alex is. Looks can be deceiving.

But every time they call it just bottle stopp(er) I'm really a bit sad.

The clear/frosted large hole wound bead looks like a trade bead called a Dutch Dogun (some people call them Dutch donuts. LOL). They are very irregular in shape, and the old ones were most common in clear and blue colors. On another note, use caution with making glass with the old thermometer. I don't know if mercury would linger on the glass, but the vapors are very toxic and the heat might activate any old residual liquid.
