Looks like a floral frog and such a great find!
That's what I thought as well.
I agree.
Yes
First thought I had was a floral frog as well
Exactly. Nice one from the look of it.
The ceramic piece with holes reminds me of a frog. Florists use them in vases to put flower stems in. The frog helps the floral arrangement have some symmetry and hold its shape.
When God was blessing calming/soothing voices, you women were wide awake.
Dear Kyle S.
👍👌👏 Definitely!
Best regards, luck and health.
17:58 it could be the core of a ball. Like golf balls or baseballs used to have a core that the other materials were wrapped around.
That’s sort of my initial thought too
Bet your right..wrapped in skin of some sort👍
Nice walk, take the magnet with you. There are beautiful black stones that attract magnets or the remains of meteorites. A follower from the State of Iraq, Baghdad
The large chunky flower frog might be for use at the cemetery. Lovely finds!!! ♥️
That teapot lid would be a handy biscuit cutter. My grandmother used a PET milk can lightly floured to cut out her biscuits for thirty years or more. American biscuits, that is. ❤️
My mother uses a wineglass for her French waffles. ☺️
Some great finds! Certainly a lot of nettles about the area too - ouch. Thank you for the historical backgrounds about the bottles.
I want to tell you how much I love spending my Sundays with you two ladies. I am very appreciative of you sharing your adventures with me. Thank you!!
Northern Mudlarks + Manchester Mudlarks = The Dream Team . Love it !
Glad you got to the bottom of where the figurine came from!! Another interesting collection of finds and history.
Yet again we've been left out. We think they've forgotten us Shwoos exist. All over us to start with, but now, we just wander about the garden and pass a wistful glance in the direction of the "finds" window. The autumn winds are bringing a chill to the air that ruffles our feathers, which brings to mind the cold and desperate winter ahead that we face together, unloved. Ah, fame, such a fleeting thing.
There is a fairy tale called the "Swan Maiden". It was the first thing I thought of when you found the swan head. It would be just right to marry the two. Great finds!
I love the nettle dump! Loads of great finds. Always love seeing Sarah and Mick too. Thanks for taking me along :)
I think you should totally put the goose/swan head on the figure, make a Frankenstein piece of your own! The small green bottle for nettle rash is so apropos, lol
Hello Gail and Alex! I love this dump, the treasures are everywhere...so many amazing finds! How fun to spend the day with some fellow mudlarking friends. All the lovely bottles and their history is always so intriguing. Those beautiful glass lids definitely need to be used in a project. This was another exciting adventure from our "digging" Diva's..."The Northern Mudlarks"!! Give the Shwoo's some love for me. ; ) Big ((Hugs)) and Love from Texas!! xoxo : )
Of course I know the wonderful TV series about Jeannie in a bottle. It's a classic! Gail is just as beautiful/gorgeous as Barbara Eden and has to do a lot with bottles too! ;-) :-)
When you said this ball was made of wood I thought of an implement my mother used when mending socks. It was a polished wooden ball that she slid into the sock, then stretched the knitware taut over it and re-stitched the hoops with a thick needle. I guess a ball made from bone would serve the same purpose. Or it's just a cheaper version of an ivory billiards ball.
Drill a hole in the glass lids and put colour changing led lights into them they look good in the garden when lot up
Hi Girl’s.You two are so good at what you do!!😻That item you found with all the holes is frog. It’s for holding flower’s in place.Good fine!!You two are so professional & always have so much to share with us.You are so knowledgeable about all the fine’s that you fine.Just love to watch all the videos that you share with us.Especially the bead & bottle making. And all the beautiful jewelry you girl’s make. It’s just amazing & beautiful!!!Can’t wait to see what you find next.Be safe!!!😻👍🐈💐
Hello, as always it’s lovely to watch you both exploring and finding such wonderful things.
I have been following you for a while now and you have helped me through such a awful
Eighteen months, having lost my dear Sister and wonderful mother, who was also a friend.
Then a month ago today, our also precious little dog Lenny, who would sit and listen to your
Music etc, whilst sitting on my lap. Lost without them, you have brightened my dark days
and encouraged me to go sea glass hunting myself, which was exciting and amazing.
Can’t wait to go again, I would make the Jeannie bottle into a table lamp, it’s so pretty.
Thank you for your lovely episodes of interest and happiness.
Great to see the shrews and the cats, Aggie our cat also enjoys you music. XX ❤️
Aw, thank you so much - so sorry for the family you have lost ((hugs)) Sea glass hunting is so very therapeutic - it's almost like meditating - love, Gail & Alex xx
The little oval clear dish is a master salt.
I laughed because I imagined a "nasty, crusty, German" who lost his marble! 😆. Thanks for another lovely video!
I love you two! I'm 77 yo and in my mind , I tag right along! I've been crafting for about 4 years now and just found out about Milliput! I've just received mine in the mail and will start making some jewelry! I can't wait!! Love and hugs!
It's amazing how many things are lying around there, a good find !
Found rook wood pottery flower frog circa 1920 all different colors, all different prices . I enjoyed looking it up. It is so much fun watching your videos, and look forward to seeing what is on the window sill at the end of each video. Bless you both
those big lids would look pretty cool with those little lights in them that has a battery power source but you would have to drill a hole in them some how
let out all that Victorian air, chuckle...
@@grandmasmagic3858 LOLOLOL.
Love the finds and history! Miss the kitty and shrews - your dancing was fun and I look forward to what you’ll make from the monster jar lids!
always nice seeing you guys out and about. Stay safe, stay healthy
You found a ceramic flower frog. Great larking finds.
Really enjoyed watching y’all, thanks for the little dance it put a smile on my face.🙂
What an awesome haul Ladies, all wonderful. So nice to find stopple boppers with the cork still attached. Thank you.
I love that music at about 10 minutes in. So evocative. This was another amazing episode, so many wonderful finds. Alex's swan lady genuinely had me laughing out loud!
Wow so many great finds. The minute I saw the more ornate giant stopper you found I thought it would look great filled with a sting of fairy lights and sat on a wooden base. Just a thought. So love your videos. Take care☺️🌻🐝
I love the swan 🦢 headed lady!
Wonderful finds and interesting history! Thanks for another great video!
Love the music and of course the video!
It's always so great to see you. I love tug Swan woman Alex 🤣🤣 Great finds!!!
Among the most beautiful show I attended this summer, it was the sunset choreography of seagulls, white storcks, and cattle egrets flying low over public rubbich dump of Casablanca. So far, the Northern Mudlarks' dance on a megadump is pretty funny and artistically creative. 🤣
Ceramic floral frog! Lovely!
Great video ! So many different things from each lark.
Alex you could totally read the phone book and it would be amazing to listen to! Great finds by all
The Jar lids if painted would make a Beautiful Christmas Village since you ladies are so Great at painting!!!
Love watching your videos and all the interesting finds. Wish I could be there with you looking for treasure! What fun,
love you both, thank you for yet another wonderful adventure!
Another awesome video with great finds. Take care and stay safe and well 🥰🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍💖💖💖
Great finds! The wooden ball might be a camphor ball to put in your drawers to stop the moths.😊💖
Wonderful episode and finds par as usual. I love the bottle stopper that still has the foil on it. It's rare to find old foil that is still in good condition. The bone ball - Could that be a "jack" or "kitty" from lawn bowling?
Oh the dance gets me on my feet every time!!😂😂 even at 11pm lol. Lovely finds Gail & Alex!! Happy hunting ⚓️⚓️
I never tire of you videos
Foĺowing your tiny narrow roads in the UK makes me more aware of our huge highways here in Ontario Canada. Your roads make me full of excitement, wondering where we might end up. Wonderful history.
I am freaking out when I see you driving in the wrong side 🤪🤭😉🇩🇰
Lots of beautiful finds lots of beautiful bottles just love glass bottle stoppers keep larking love your videos
I always look at your finds and try to think of astonishing, creative uses for them. So far, nada. :)
Most beautiful dancers.
I also love the old terracotta plant pot - loves terracotta anything :)
Fabulous finds!! Love your Mudlark adventures...cannot wait for your crafting videos to return too 🤗
Interesting finds. I like the little bottles! 🤗❣️🌸👍
Love the flower frog.
Yes, put that swan on her :) Absolutely! LOL......lots of shenanigans please :)
You got some lovely finds. I think it's a flower frog too. I remember seeing similar on gravestones when I was a child. Loved the video thank you xx
Yup, it is a flower frog.
It amazes me how, no matter where you go, whether it be on land or on the foreshore near the water’s edge, there are always beads to be found. Fantastic!
What a great place so many lovely finds wow xxxx
Hi Ladies, great video and wonderful finds! I really hope you come back to this site in the winter or early spring, there is so much to find! 🤞😀 x
Yes save the figurine she will get a new head lol x
your hair is already beautiful Alex
Maybe that mystery ball is an old billiard/snooker ball. And perhaps you could cut the bottom off one of the large glass stoppers and use it as a lid for the pate container. Lovely bottle finds. Sue and Ian, Australia
Fantastic finds, great location and great fellow mudlarkers. The marbles are beautiful even all crumpled. If you can't find jars bid enough for your large stoppers think about making a display stand out of something. You are so creative that I'm sure you could make it out of wood, ceramic or something like that. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤
Loved your video tonight. Beautiful beautiful bottles.
You girls are so cute. I love you both. I love to watch your adventures.
So much fun exploring with friends. I follow you both now and an enjoying every video more and more.
Please make a video and tell us your secret to getting the bottles so clean and clear! ❤️❤️❤️
The bulb is sooo pretty! x
I like that you look up the history of stuff. The bathing beauty is a lovely find-reminds me of ancient greek or roman statues with missing parts but are still beautiful.
It's a soap dish with the holes. I would use those Victorian lids on French posts would be fun! Great finds
The white thing with holes in bottom was used by florist for very special appangements…also,”ladies” had them too to make sure their “art” of flower arranging was shown to give pride in home
I love the information update ! ☺😍☺
Lol goose head should go with the naked lady you found before 😂 you can barely tell the figurine was broken. I laughed when you put it on the girl!!!
My Sunday night viewing is complete. Another fabulous adventure in the nettle dump and another brilliant colaboration. Stay safe
Teapot lids... I've noticed some really nice ones through all the videos. I wanted to try putting a board on the wall, fastening the teapot lids to it by a nail through the small hole I see on all the lids. Then you could use this creation with beautiful teapot lids to hang your coat or hats. Might be silly, but I'd like to see it. I love the huge bottle stoppers!
Love your videos so much! Can't wait for Sunday to get here😘
I just love the 4 of you would love to come dig with you all I'm from America and have been watching both Northern mudlark and Mick and Sarah for a while
I love the amazing bottles that you both find.
Another awesome video! Thanks for the info on your finds!! Wishing you the best!
Hello Gail and Alex. I'm Eva from Argentina. this is my first message. I love all your videos. and all the bottles and I think they're jam bottles. I'm lovin 'it. I love everything you both find.
Thank you, lovely video.
Lovely
Your 1899 item is a floral frog for doing floral arrangements. It holds the stems in place. An awesome find
Should have taken the bottomless stoneware home .put it in garden or flowers area and put a plant in it💗 I adore your page!!
Thank you both for a treasure trove video.
Cheers,
Rik Spector
I love Sarah's Lil Dutch milk maid looking figurine. So cute!
I liked your little dance on the hill
stopple bopper precious
I enjoy your videos so much! You could attach the large jar tops to a board of some kind and use the knobs as coat hooks!
So great to see you working with Sarah and Mick 🥰
If you put the goose head on the figurine, she would then become Mother Goose! LOL Great finds, as always. I disagree that the clear bottle with the fluting around the base needs to be decorated. My mother was a fanatic for not getting tanned skin, for the very reason that you explained. This was mid 20th century in Canada, which just shows how these cultural practices spread. I really enjoyed this collaboration with Mick & Sarah; they are great fun. See you next Sunday. Take care & stay safe.
Great finds, the wooden ball may have been used for darning socks. Just a guess. And I love the flower frog! I have a small collection of antique/vintage flower frogs. 👍
Every time I watch a new video of yours I learn something new. Thanks for your interesting work!!! Best regards from Germany.
I don't know if it was me or not. I do remember mentioning the advertisement you showed and that 3 names had a k in it. Anyway, I do love watching you find things. I love your research also.
I've dug a lot of those Kilmer bottles here in New Hampshire USA. The older pre 1905ish have CURE embossed then after, they changed cure to REMEDY probably so as not to be wrapped up in a false advertisement claim> Love to find them though, they're usually always beautiful aqua. Thanks for taking us along :)
Dr. Kilmer’s Swamp Root was made in the Binghamton NY area and he was a very wealthy man, with a huge house and a famous racehorse!
