A Pokemon Sword/Shield Ramble: My Hopes and Concerns

Welp, we got a new Pokemon game on our hands. Some are really excited, others are really let down. As for me? Well that's why I made this video.

Good to see another person out there on team sobble! I can't wait to see what he evolves into!!
I might be the only person who preferred random encounters. It’s not that I didn’t like Let’s Go’s encounters, but nothing I found felt special. I just went through Mt. Moon and saw like 5 or 6 clefairies before I left. When I play Fire Red or Leaf Green, I might not even see one of them. Not to mention how relatively common shinies are because of this system. I never really got Pokémon following you, either. Don’t get me wrong, it’s neat. But if it’s not in the game, then it’s not something getting worked up over. Hell, it might actually be in the game, we just don’t know yet. It was optional in Let’s go, after all. I’m looking forward to SwSh, although I’ll basically play any Pokémon game at this point. I’m not getting super hyped for it though, as of right now it looks about the same as any other game in the series. This is a game I’ll probably love anyway, so I honestly don’t care that it’s not too graphically impressive. I’m hoping they show more unique things about it in the future, though. They showed more than I was expecting so far, but we still don’t know much.
Sobble reminds me of a Sonic Boom Background character with noodle arms and legs.
Surprisingly it was a fun show.
I’m really hyped for Sword and Shield. I personally think that the games look beautiful and I live in the UK, so that’s a point to the game. Pokémon is my favourite franchise, so I am naturally hyped though.
Also, following Pokémon could come back. They will have a lot of trailers and I’ve could focus on that. Also, there are bits of the trailer looking like there’s a controllable camera, so we can’t say either way until actual gameplay comes out.
I think it's awesome you're hyped for the game.
In terms of the following Pokemon and controllable camera, while I would love to have those things I'm going to play it safe and assume they're not in the game. That way if they are it'd be a pleasant surprise. If not, then I didn't get my hopes up for nothing.

Ever since USUM and LGP and LGE the Pokemon Community became more cynical and more harder to please. So if they want Pokemon fans to get excited for Sword and Shield they need to do new things and do them right this time, while at the same time still keeping true to what made Pokemon so great
I received a coded message from Nintendo, Golden Sun will either be announced this june or come out the 8 of June 2022.
I think they're gonna be great. I know Let's Go wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but it helped preview what was coming, and I think these games are gonna be awesome! But i'm right there with you, we need a Golden Sun sequel for the Switch!
I like the optimism, someone has to be, heh. I hope you're able to enjoy the game on release, and good video man.
