That's really one of the trademarks of outstanding shows. "Treat your side characters well", that adds so much depth and immersion to a show, if the side characters feel as "real" as the main characters. Breaking Bad was a masterclass in that, where you could easily imagine a spin off of like a few dozen of the side characters. And it's the same with Arcane. Lots of side characters I would gladly watch a show just about their story.
She is always so adorable and I do wish she could present it to Sevika gift wrapped the way she did, she looked so proud of herself. Though Jinx watching Sevika work under pressure with her new weapon definitely made Jinx proud of her work.
Remember how Smeech wanted Sevika to help him put a bow on baby blue as a gift for topside, we ended up having jinx carefully wraping up the gift that helped Sevika finish off the funny looking rat

Jinx hiding in the ceiling from the Enforcers is a neat little parallel to Powder hiding from the Enforcers in S1 EP2. Only this time her sister is an Enforcer. What is this show doing to me? 😭
I watched the intro scene from this episode more than 10 times already, and i always laugh when jinx says: "how could someone put all those holes in you". Its hilarious!
I thought that it is incredibly hard to keep the masterpiece level they did in season one. But they managed to make the show even better. Absolutely fantastic

That moment when Jinx and Sevika are reminiscing about Silco and their shared love of the man. And that love and respect for him made them truce and Jinx bringing her a present... and Then Sevika, not knowing Jinx had made her that gift, protects her in the name, no doubt of Silco. And then she gets the gift. It's so SO beautiful. It reminds me of the For Frodo sentiment in LoTR
I remember being so hyped for the Sevika vs Smeech fight ever since they teased it in the sneak peeks. I was not disappointed. The animators really said "Let us cook!"
Fortiche outdoing what they did with S1 is beyond incredible. The people behind this show not only have discipline and craftsmanship but love and passion for what they do. Massive kudos to all of them ❤️
I feel like League fans and players are a big element to it... Some other fanbase would've settled for mediocre, but those people are not even settling for good, it's either great or nothing, to the point of toxic behaviour (whoever played LoL, knows that). And kudos to Riot for acknowledging that and rising up to the challenge! There isn't much companies out there that would listen to the heartbeat of their fanbase the way they do. If any, at the moment. Take notes hollywood! Instead of hiring writers that always need to make a point, hire those that know how to listen!
The artwork for the dripping green on her face, the subtle little eye flashes of jinx, the composition of every shot... my god. They put so so so much time and love into every single second of this. The use of symbolism by when and how they choose to order the story beats. Wtf. This show is a stand alone masterpiece.
I already love how this season is way more stylized than the first one. The first one was visually insane, but this one, they seem to get more creative. They're pulling a Spider-Verse, changing the art style. Like with the grey painting aesthetic for the funeral scene or the gray film filter for Silco in this episode.
Important thing to keep in mind for me is that arcane is not an action series or a fantasy series or a drama. It’s a tragedy and the way the story is told and the emotional footprint left by it is bonkers
Man!!! These writers, animators, director need a raise!! What an amazing show this has been on just the first 3 episodes. The cinematography is spectacular as well!!

22:46 I'd like to point out that Viktor did not just heal him, he made him YOUNGER!!!!! He brought his hair back and removed his wrinkles! He literally made him younger than he was in EP1 Season 1!!!!
Uhh I'd say those wrinkles and hair loss were symptoms of the shimmer addiction, maybe he was cured by returning his body to a state before he became addicted, but I'd argue more for the consequences just being purged from his system
I am so excited to see what that little kid's role is gonna be for Jinx's character, because there's already quite a few parallels to her and Jinx when she was younger. Like when JInx and Sevika are fighting those henchmen, the little girl throws one of Jinx's bombs into the air, a bomb we actually have seen before, Powder was making it in episode 1 of season 1. Her throwing the bomb parallels when Powder threw her bomb in season 1 episode 1, where it didn't work, and now the bomb is also thrown in a way that doesn't do much damage, but the little girl is still sucessful in giving Jinx an opening to shoot the guy. The little "hmm?" from the girl is like her looking for validation, already seeking it from Jinx when barely knowing her. (I haven't watched episode 3 yet, so just to be safe, nobody reply with any info from episode 3 lol)
The reason Viktor left Jayce like that in episode 2 is because when he took Sky's book off the table, he saw the blueprints of the hextech weapon he made for Caitlyn. Jayce promised Viktor that he wouldn't make any more hextech weapons. Now that I've looked back at Chapter 1, we even see a disturbed look on Viktor's face in the last scene when Jayce puts the hextech crystal in Caitlyn's new weapon.
This episode was honestly so well-paced, considering it follows Jinx's, Viktor's, and Ekko's stories all at the same time. Plus Smeech's, Jayce's, and Sevika's too.
I'm in the camp that has no clue what's going on with the overall LoL story, so I need a primer of some sort. But wow, this was my favorite Jinx ep - yet. Her Harley Quinn like crazy is perfectly offset with moments of funny quips. And that mech arm! With speakers!! LOVE it.
something that i missed in my first watch through is victor's cane adapts and evolves to his needs after he picks it up, from an under the hand cane to a two handed cane, pretty cool detail of victor and his new 'powers'
I like how they write the breakup between Jayce and Viktor. Both of them share the same vision but different path. For Viktor, he wanted to make the world better but also is obsessed with trying to find a cure for himself. And for Jayce, he wanted to help everyone, especially Viktor. In Viktor case, he witnessed firsthand the consequences the core brings, and Jayce only sees it saves Viktor.

I’m not certain that Viktor is hallucinating seeing Sky. The ancient Egyptians believed that the Ka (soul, consciousness, spirit) and the Ha (the physical body) weren’t exclusive to each other. I think that while the Hex Core did in fact destroy Sky’s Ha it preserved her Ka and that’s what Viktor is seeing and hearing.

Jinx reflection, loss of finger, burial of Silco 6. Viktor and his transformation and healing thanks to Arcane 7. And I quite like the little children that remind me of Teema. I can't wait for act 2 and 3.
Did anything in season 1 have these horror vibes we've been getting in season 2? I don't recall any, but I'm loving them here. It's really setting a tone for whatever comes next.
One of our favorite aspects of this season so far! All the set up and world building is done! So they’re hitting us with character development, and a much darker season. Loving it!

We finally see what good Hextech can do besides being used to fight. Viktor is literally purifying people of the toxic, addictive effects of Shimmer.
So sad that Smeech only lasted 2 episodes but he was sooooo dope while he was on screen. Definitely one of my favorite animated characters

One of our favorite aspects of this season so far! All the set up and world building is done! So they’re hitting us with character development, and a much darker season. Loving it!

1- Is it really just Viktor's imagination/guilt visually represented (as Vi/Vander)?
2. Is it something like Sky's essence that was left in the Hexcore when she died, he absorbed it somehow...and now literally in spirit is guiding Viktor(?
3. Or the Hexcore is taking advantage of what happened to Sky and is using her image to influence Viktor and guide him to take the route of action the magic wants
