Monster Hunter Frontier Z: First White Espinas 'Hunt'

- Hello everyone! This is my first hunt against the Rare Species version of Frontier's flagship monster, Espinas Rare Species (or just White Espinas, unofficially)! Known as the White Thorn Wyvern, White Espinas has quite a few tricks up its sleeve compared to regular or Orange Espinas; it almost always stays in rage mode when awakened, its fireballs combine all the ailments of the other flavors of Espinas, and its signature AOE fireball can pack quite the punch! As such, my first attempt against him was VERY scuffed, besides me still learning the proper way to use a keyboard with Frontier, lol. Lot of room to improve, maybe I can post better runs later on, if I get them?
This video was made possible through the efforts of the people behind the Erupe Private Server project, and through Fist's team for sharing the quest files online for anyone to use. As of this video, a private server is in the works from Fist's team that will have the most complete, stable, and enjoyable Frontier experience since the official shutdown. Hoping for this boy to make it into sunbreak, rare species were mentioned and besides molten and the metal raths we don't have any others.
Yes!! Can't wait to see the white thorny boi in Sunbreak, his fight is pretty solid in Frontier!
the silhouette in the picture of the fall title update is very espinas looking specifically the two thorns around the back of the head

What's even better is that we're either gonna get this one or the other sub species espinas since the monster outline for the second title update looks exactly like espinas
For sure! From what we've seen so far of Lucent, it looks like they're handling returning sub/rare species well, so I can't wait to see how they expand on Orange or White Espinas!

If we got white espinas i feel like the flames would make him a cooler version of lunastra and I’m ok with that
I feel unless they change it you could easily wirebug through, no?
@@tristenbell6929 it would be like Almudron hot mud, deletes your health fast but you can get out of that situation easily.
@@tristenbell6929 probably not since even taking the slightest chip damage knocks you out of wirefall, so I imagine that’s probably what would happen and you’d just melt in the flames
Regular espinas returns for the first time in a western release, monster hunter rise sunbreak. maybe white espinas might be released as title update in the future
There's always hope, the title updates are supposes to bring back a bunch of rare species so I'd say it's likely

Thanks! That's fair though, even the English patch that's out now only really covers items/menu stuff, doesn't help much outside of that
Do you have any community to follow to keep udpdated with the changes made to erupe / fist's upcoming server?
I do, there is a Erupe github page headed by ricochhet that gets updated pretty frequently! There is a discord server for Fist's community, but as of right now it's limited slots. I'll definetly post a video once his servers are up though, or if any major change happens in Erupe
Do you believe if this subspecies or it orange version came to sunbreak? What are you guys feeling?
Honestly, I wouldn't put it past them at this point! If they're bringing back the likes of Seething and Lucent, Orange/White Espinas seems like the next logical step if u ask me lol

Why did Lao Shan Lung’s theme play?
For whatever reason, that's the theme they picked for this specific area, a Great Forest arena-type map. Kinda fitting, but still out of nowhere lol 😆

Heh, that'd be because the Great Forest Peak uses that phase of Lao's theme, dunno why they did it but I think it's kinda funny lol
if this thing come to sunbreak maybe he need to be optimize and works like lunastra instead
That'd be pretty neat, yeah! They're already kind of similar with some of those mechanics, if they make him just as flashy as World Lunastra I'd be happy lol
How did you get the English version?
There is an english patch available, although it's rather barebones, in the sense that its mostly items and menus that get the treatment. If you want to check it out, there's a link to the MHFZ archive on the site fist.moe, should have you covered for a patch

Mostly just upgrading my armor, and the fact this isn't Gou or G-Rank White Espinas LOL
Is it possible to solo the game or atleast some
Quests
I've seen a bunch of people on Twitter use this version to get into G-Rank without too much trouble, although beyond that, I'm uncertain. The game's G-Rank is notorious for being quite difficult for the most part, but with enough prep and skill I imagine it's doable solo

You can definitely get to G rank with the help of the 'hunter help' feature. Beyond that, its still fairly easy with the help of legendary rastas. To put in perspective, I went from Gr40 to Gr200 in about 2 hours farming an event quest.
