The music of my childhood. Played the crap out of this game when I was a kid. I remember I tried to recreate a couple of the courses in ElastoMania, but never got myself around to finishing them. The memories!
Back in 1989 my dad took me to Toys R Us and he bought me a GameBoy and I got this game. I think it came with the game boy as a bundle maybe but holy hell. So awesome to see this all these years later. I was 5! I was a lucky 5 year old.
@@nineko what is also crazy is as soon as the game started in your video I was chiming along that song has game music has been stored in the back of my head for so long lol
So listen up, I actually bought a game in Spain on holiday, years later I realised it was a non-licensed produced one, since it had like 20 games in 1! This was one of those games and I loved it to death! Never could beat it all as a kid though, many good memories from those weird games on it.
Yeah, I found this game on one of those 9000-in-1 cartridges back in the day, too. It was manufactured so poorly that the interiors of the cartridge literally melted after just a few hours of play 😁
Same! My aunt gave it to me some 20 years ago and we always thought the cartridge was weird since it was called "80 in 1" (or even more than that), but in actuality we could play only some 11 or 12 games. The rest were exact copies of those games, only with different names. Turns out it was a bootleg edition, which were circulating here and there but are overall an absolute oddity. There are not many information on the internet, so far I couldn't find my version. But I am currently searching for the games on the cartridge and Motocross Maniacs was one of them!
This was one of my favorite games on the GB and one of the best launch titles. Nintendo really did hit the Jackpot on this console having Konami/Ultra and Capcom on board making such great titles for the old grey box.
Me too! It was more like 150-in-1 for me or something like that, though, I don't have it anymore because it literally melted while I was playing, to say how cheap its components were.
Wow, I haven't seen this game since i was like 4-5 years old or something. I immediately recognized the soundtrack i spent so much time on this game damn.
I remember playing this as a child. You could glitch the map in some places when you faced downwards and boosted into the ground. You were able to drive slightly below the normal terrain :)
Finally I found this game, but I never play it because at that time I was still a child. My dad never buy a gaming console for us. I only watch my big brother's friend play it. Maybe this time I can try it? Playing this game on emulator
I think he means that he crashed a lot when he played it as a kid, and this video makes it seem easy and effortless not to crash. It’s really quite a hard game & there are some serious skills on display here.
Oh my god, I finally found this game from my childhood. I always used to secretly steal this game from my brother. Along with Boulder Dash. I was horrible at it, but it was still fun.
I have this game and only beat it once. One of my colleagues was playing a colorized version of this on his Android smartphone using an emulator. He said that it is part of the Konami GB Collection Volume 3, which is a part of a series of Game Boy Color carts containing colorized sets of Game Boy Mono games only released in Europe.
This game appears as well in Konami GB collection vol.2 in Japan, but I suck at this game, I love it, but I keep falling, and I even tried to spin my bike to land in the correct position, but sometimes doesn't work... FUN FACT, the Japanese versions of Konami GB Collection 1-4 in the game select screen appears the characters from Tokimeki Memorial
Yeah, that's how I found out about this one too. It appeared on a lot of those old, bootleg multicarts. I discovered a ton of great games through those. :)
First game I ever saw on GB was Tetris some lady was playing it outside while sitting out on a lawn chair. 2nd game I saw was Motorcross Maniacs some kid had it... kinda of blew my mind. I remember reading dot matrix on the screen and the little red power on dot.The GB was something so different and cool when it first came out! 😎
you are very good at this game . i was playing it on my friends game boy and jealous very much . now im gonna download it with a emulator years later lol
You play almost like I would. I would use the jets to take more shortcuts, but I'm sure you don't do that because it's an upload. Good play. Haha, you did it in the last level ^^ nice.
There is a secret route @ 8:25 somewhere press b button continuously for at least >6times or above (with jet is easier). You will reach the highest height of game. A place where u could get about 6-7 Nitros in a row Upload a new video and tag me if u find it:)
Thanks for the suggestion, I'm a bit overwhelmed by my real life job these days, but I'll try to look into it within a week. If it's indeed true, I'll definitely credit you in the eventual new video.
All this time... I never knew you could fly in the air like that... No wonder I've never beaten the game. Anyone know what the tiny bikes are for? I think I remember them, but not what they did.
16:04 this is the bug of the game. it will have a slim chance if you fire at nearly highest point, it will climb up without using the jumping platform or the jet item
It's so good to find a community who still remembers this game. The nostalgia is real for this
This game was soooo awesome!
This game was fucking next level when I was a kid so much nostalgia right now
As a kid, this games were so fun to play. Miss this time heavily
How is is possible the game I spent my childhood on... actually lasts 16 minutes?!
Because you were a kid and preferred goofing around than playing super serious. Besides what better challenge than an unfinished game?
Bro i say the same thing when i see these super try hard speed runners beat my favorite NES games 😂
Memories.
Playing gameboy in the back of the car on some long family road trip.
On one of those "2 billion games in one!" carts from Asia.
Haha it was Super 32-in-1 for me
@@Suedeash I definitely had a Super 32-in-one, maybe the same cart haha
@@Suedeash I was looking for this
One of the first GB games I ever played as a kid, always found it super difficult and never beat it

Go for it! :)
Back to the days when my only problem was to look for 4x AA batteries

I am from Spain and I have that cartdrige. Did you choose among games by pressing a button in the back of the cartdrige? Good times!

yo tenia ese tambien, hay juegos que aun estoy buscando!!
Same story as mine hahahha
Remember this fondly from my childhood, didn't think it was that short :-D
1st game I had for the original b&w Gameboy, 1990. Wow that was a long time ago. Glad some ppl still remember this!!! Thank you
The music and sound effects alone bring me back!
might be my all-time fav video game music. came here just to listen
I used to play this game hours and hours when I was a kid

I never beat course 8A. It's insane.
Wonderful!!!!! Brings back childhood memories. I played this game in a 9-in-1 cartridge

It reminds me of my childhood... so glad to watch
I finally remembered the name of this game. Wow, this really takes me back! I loved this and the Mickey Mouse game.
I just saw Projared playing this game, and my mind exploded becuase I DO remember playing this game when I was a kid but I forgot its name completly
Wow, this was THAT game! I remember owning a game just like this but the title just didn't sound familiar. I was never this good at it though, haha!
Me too :) this Game is my childhood
excitebike?
nostalgia hits me hard with this 😁
When you beat level 8C, no ending scenes, just GAME OVER
Aaaa this brings back my old memories when I was a child
This game epitomizes my 80s childhood
Da werden Erinnerungen wach. Die schönste Zeit die frühen 90er.
Damn I spent hours on this in boarding school in the 90s goodtimes!!
This is my childhood
Also is my childhood .
Excite Bike for the Gameboy. I had this game, loved it!
much better than exitebike (NES)
This is what I was daydreaming about during my lecture.
hehe

I loved this damn game so much
Konami should make a phone version of this game, i will definitely buy it
bring back my elementary school memory
Childhood memories right here. Kids these days will never understand the feeling of owning a Game Boy.
Yeah. We were superior to all other humans.
you could play good video games....in the car! Blew my 10 year old mind!
For me, it's a GB classic.
MY fav game in gameboy i miss those days
This game was the shit back in the day.
This brings back so many memories :)
Crazy! Played this game for weeks in my childhood. Now the handygames looks better but you do the same. Except you need to pay for every nitro shot.
I remember that there's a bug, where your motocross can "drill" into the dirt and get infinite nitro. XD
There's a glitch in the 2nd level at least, using a half pipe "drilling" via nitro into the ground...
I miss this game!
I had this game as a kid and I remember thinking dirtbikes can’t do flips haha
Now flips are very common
lol
Always fun when you get loads of nitro then just unleash and fly through half the level :D
yes!
this game was insane

The soundtrack is burned into my skull.
Especially the music from the 4 minute 55 second mark.
i played this game with the first gameboy!!Good game for kids!!
had this on one of those 100-in-1 bootlegs, was pretty fun
The engine sound is so fitting for the game boy, never heard anything like it.

This game has perfect physics for a GameBoy game. Well, almost perfect.
the physics is what made the game really fun
Good old times!
Lol i just remembered playing this game. It was nice and i almost mastered this game
it's so fucking cool when you have JET and burn all the Nitro crossing the goal line, the sound effect also thrilling
When I was in childhood I wouldn’t think that bike was so hard to crash like this. 🤔

I had a bootleg version of this on a cart that had like 50 other gb Roma so seeing the rest of the game like the power ups is weird
good play and times are very good
I always wondered about those tiny bikers following... What for?
All this time... I never knew you could fly in the air like that... No wonder I've never beaten the game.
