Amazing how such a minimally sound track made of of tones can leave such a vividly stored memory in your brain when you are a small child. I played this when I was about 5 and I remember this so much more clearly than all the PS1, Nintendo 64, xbox games I played when I was older. The mind of a young child is an absolute sponge when it comes to memory.
My grandma bought me this game when I was about ten years old from the local Variety Store, that was named G.L Perry. I recently found it again at DK Oldies, and I can go back to that time, at least in theory.
Man, did I love this game as a child! So simple yet so fun. I never managed to finish it, though. Maybe, that's for the better. I would have been totally disappointed by that "ending". xD
I remember I was 11 and I changed maybe 10 games for this game in a videogames store.. Kind of gamestop. .. And I played it for all vacation at that time. I still love the music
That's because this was originally a Mickey Mouse game when it was first released in Japan.... the reason it didn't stay that way was because Capcom owned the Disney license for video games in the US at that point
@@zach7551 Ok. Sounds legit. However, what puzzles me is that I had both the Mickey Mouse game as well as the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle game (both for game boy). And even though the gameplay was the same kind (characters walking around in different levels unable to jump), the levels were completely different in design and appearance. I read that the Mickey Mouse game was released in Japan and Europe (I reside in Sweden), while it was called Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle in the US. However, I bought both games in normal game stores in Sweden. And as I stated, the levels were totally different in both games. Was there a re-design of the levels as well?
@@zach7551 It actually originally was a "Who framed Roger Rabbit" game. xd This is a very good video explaining this whole series. ruclips.net/video/iR9_Z8iBCu4/видео.html
I got this game for my birthday this year. I hope playing this game would be worth it because I’m a big fan of the Looney Tunes. Edit: Yep. Definitely worth it doc.
They replaced the following characters: In Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (Famicom Disk System) those same enemies were Penguin, Bongo, the Weasels and Judge Doom.
Was ne zeit
Currently I'm playing this on my cell phone and there's a hack for the GB version which I'm also playing. I made 2 hacks back in 2019 for the NES version and I wish there's an editor for the GB version as well.
I remember, way back in the day, my cousin and I would play this game and I always assumed there was some “final boss” that was a wizard. I have no idea where I got that from. When my cousin beat the game, he called me from another room to tell me he “beat the wizard.” Lol
There is a final boss in Crazy Castle 2 that looks like a wizard (but it's actually a Horned King from The Black Cauldron movie). But he only appears in PAL/JP version of the game where you play as Mickey Mouse instead of Bugs Bunny. For US version, final boss is a witch. So, maybe it's a crazy coincidence, or you've just mixed two games in your memory (they are pretty similar so no big deal).
In Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle, What's up Doc? In this old school all time ever popular classic Gameboy game from 1990 inspired by Looney Tunes cartoon fans everywhere.
Probably Warner Bros. took the game from Kemco and Game Boy from Nintendo secretly, and if it is secret, then it is not known what Warner Bros. will be.
I came here 'cause the memory of this game popped up randomly in head completely out of nowhere. I didn't play it or thought about it for +10 years. I'm surprised I still know about it. Brains are weird.
at 50:15 I cannot go straight ahead, the rabbit automatically climbs the stairs, so I cannot catch the 2 carrots under the stairs. How to force to go straight ahead? I have tried everything. The game is good but the handling is crappy :(
@@nineko I succeeded: you can only reach the bottom (under the 2 stairs) from the left (it's illogical but it's the hidden rule). It is still very difficult. The handling of the game is very capricious.
Oh, I assumed you knew about that, notice how the stairs are different, only one kind allows you to walk through them, while the other kind is solid, hence why I assumed you were walking right in my previous comment. Glad to hear that you succeeded, though :)
Because three different versions of this game exist, with the same concept and the same levels, but with different characters. One of those other versions, for example, features Mickey Mouse as the protagonist.
It was a Roger Rabbit game originally, enemies were Toon Patrol weasels instead of Sylvester clones. Kemco released a game for Famicom Disk System but couldn't keep the license afterwards, so they changed Roger to Bugs for NES version and then ported it to Game Boy.
any1 here got a cartridge that had lots of games... i miss this music so much from one of the games from that cartridge it was a space type shooter with a square arena (gameboy screen) some obstacles in the middle and you where a spaceship shooting down another spaceship on the other side... realy miss the music lol..
Had this as a kid. Looking at it fresh, it’s a bit amusing to see the slightly ropey sprite flickering… and how come Bugs can collect carrots from inside a pipe when they’re on the outside? I strongly suspect that was a bug they decided not to fix. 😂
Soundtrack is the real nostalgia 😭👍👍
Big facts! Growing up as a 90s kid I was obsessed with this game!
Straight up 100% amazing

This game randomly popped up in my head, i used to play it over my cousin's home when i was kid. Simple game but fun and a great soundtrack.
Blimey that music brings back all kinds of hidden emotions and feelings. I used to borrow this off my uncle when I was young
Omg I remember everything about this game!!!! Nostalgia at its finest.
This was my first videogame ever… the soundtrack is so on point, the memories are unreal lol!
Omg my childhood!!! Loved the tune!

Love love love this game this brings back so many childhood memories
I suddenly started smiling
Oh man I'm esrching this in 2023 so many memories.
Bruh, the absolute nostalgia from this is insane!
I remember being grounded for the summer, but I had a secret gameboy and played this when I was bored. Haha
Nostalgic. But what I never could grasp was why on earth they'd make a game with a rabbit that can't jump 🤔

Hearing “Long Distance Runaround” by the band Yes just reminded me of this game lol.
Can’t believe this is canon to the Space Jam universe

Thanks!
I remember playing this game a lot in my cousin’s house, back when I was super young.
lv 72 is the hardest lv. trust me
I remember this game when I was a kid, its a shame I was never able to successfully complete it all, most of the levels were too hard
There are Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester and Wile E. Coyote as enimies in this game.

always wondered why this game, besides the character sprites, have nothing to do with Bugs Bunny.

What are the stage level passwords in The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle on the Game Boy Advance SP, nineko?
I'm sorry, but I have no idea
There was no way of saving game progress, so the passwords were used to return back to the level
Still have my copy! 🎉
Same here.
I traded in practically all my GameBoy games but decided to keep the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle ones.
I am glad, that i must not play this crapy game anymore. Thank you for playing it. It is like i would finish it finally.
How many stages are in The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle on the Game Boy Advance SP, nineko?
