I guess you had more fun with this than the AVGN did. Though Bugs Bunny probably didn't repeatedly beat the living tar out of you either so there's that to consider.
I used to play the crap out of this game and I also dedicated a segment of my Trapper Keeper (remember those?) just for all the passwords. Wish I knew where the hell that damn thing went!
This game was released in Japan under the name "Roger Rabbit" for the Family Computer Disk System and under the name "Mickey Mouse" for Game Boy also in Japan.
is because The Bugs Bunny: Crazy Castle is a reskin of Roger Rabbit and the game boy version is also a reskin but it is a reskin of a 1989 game boy game called mickey mouse
There were tons of these Crazy Castle games. I mostly played through the ones with Woody Woodpecker, but this one's also fun from what I recall... quite a fun series for what it is.
Back in the 80s and early 90s video games were very expensive so my friends and I would trade amongst each other and this was one I definitely loved borrowing from a friend. I remember trading him teenage mutant ninja turtles 2 the arcade game for this. We would play it for a while and then trade back.
The death music in bugs bunny crazy castle sounds like the kind of music they would play when somebody loses on a game show. Imagine watching the Cliffhangers game on the Price of The Right. The guy yodeling galls off a cliff than They start playing the death music from bugs bunny crazy castle
("I've Been Working on the Railroad" plays while the Nerd gets ready, swigs some Yuengling, and looks for a game. He takes out Barbie on the NES but decides not to play it, puts it back, and swigs some more Yuengling. He walks over to the other side of the shelf and sees Bugs Bunny walk in) Bugs Bunny: Nyaah... (chomps on the carrot) What's up, Doc? (holds a game and throws it at the Nerd) The Nerd: Wow... it's been a while since I've seen you. What game ya hit me with? Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle? (sarcastically) I can't wait to play this. (the Nerd tries to punch Bugs, who blocks it and punches him back, knocking him to the ground.) What was that?! (the Nerd tries to fight Bugs, but he gets his ass handed to him. Bugs kicks the game box at him.) Bugs Bunny: Nya, play the game, Doc! The Nerd: I'm NOT playin' this SHIT! (he throws the game box back at Bugs) Bugs Bunny: Come on, Doc! (takes game cartridge out of box) Stick it in the Nintendo! (throws the game cartridge at the Nerd) The Nerd: How 'bout stick it up your rabbit hole?! (The Nerd charges at Bugs, who blocks his punch and kicks him to the floor.) Bugs Bunny: Nya, when you played Birthday Blowout, you knew you had some unfinished business, Mac. Nya, play the game for two minutes, and I'll let ya hit me again. (The Nerd nods in agreement, and puts the game cartridge into the NES Top Loader and turns it on.) The Nerd: So this is Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle. All ya have to do is collect carrots. Once you get all the carrots, you go to the next stage, and it's just the same shit over and over. Crazy Castle? It's not too crazy, is it? The Birthday Blowout game was actually more crazy because that was like an action game, but this is more like a puzzle game. So why wasn't this one called Birthday Blowout and the other one Crazy Castle? One good thing I have to say - it has the shortest, sweetest password I've seen in a while. The Nerd: Anyway, there's a bunch of Sylvesters comin' after you. You drop stuff on their heads, or hit 'em with boxing gloves. The only thing ya can't do is jump. If ya end up in a corner, you're done. Come on, he's a bunny! He can't jump?! Oh, you fuckin' Coyote cunt, got my ass against the wall! There's no way outta this. Look at him. He's just gonna pace back and forth. Time to commit suicide. The Nerd: This time, I'm gonna drop this anvil down on him. Oh, he went the other way! Ya fuckin' shit nugget. You gotta time it just right. You see, I'm just gonna kick this crate over here. There's some Sylvesters-- Oh, fuck! If I can just get the Invisible Ink. Is he just gonna stand there? Great, I'm comin' down... (gets killed) Oh, balls! The Nerd: Alright, that's it. I'm done with this game! I'd rather press my face against a hippopotamus' butt while it muck-spreads! That's when a hippo takes a shit; rather than allowing the shit to drop from its anus, it presses its tail against its ass crack, waving it back and forth, shredding the shit all over the place! That's as much fun as this game is; like putting a turd in a fan or a bandsaw. You just don't do it.
I remember playing Crazy Castle II on my Game Boy one time my grandpa dragged me to this house of someone I didn't know. I was remember being engrossed into it so much I couldn't put it down. Didn't know that the NES had a version of it.
I remember this game a lot. I used play it on the Famicom disk system when I was small. The version I played is a skin swapped one where the skin of bugs bunny is replaced by Roger from the Who Framed the Roger Rabbit. The title of the game also changed to the name of the movie, but everything else remain the same.
@@zackwoods5077 Think he refered to the original Crazy Castle GB version. Me, I played the GB version and 2 but I slso played the Mickey Mouse version of both.
If they did a new Crazy Castle game based on the Kiniro Mosaic license and it had you play as Alice Cartelet, who would be the enemies in said Crazy Castle remake?

I used to rent this game a lot as a kid. It always annoyed me that you couldn't jump, but I figured that'd make a lot of the levels way too easy. It is a lot of fun though. One thing I found out though that was hilarious, the copy I'd rented came with a case that has pictures of the front and back of the game's box. One of the pictures on the back mentioned the game's password system. I don't know what possessed me to try it, but I tried the password on the box to see what level it might take me to. Imagine my surprise when it turned out the password on the back of the box took me straight to the final level of the game! I kid you not!
I always thought the Sylvester sprite looked odd in this game, with how he has his arms stretched in front and clawing at the air. He sort of looks like a zombie walking with his arms out front.
I always loved this series for its wonderfully catchy music. Kemco's musicians were just brilliant in those days.
Holy crap dude this was my childhood, good old memories thanks for uploading this man 😄
The Gameboy version was definitely my childhood alongside Super Mario Land 2, Link's Awakening etc.
I played this SO MUCH when I was a kid! Thank you so much for posting! I can't get enough of the music in this game! 😄
Bugs has always been one of my favorite random time-sinks on the NES. It's just so much fun, no matter how many times you might've beaten it.
I guess you had more fun with this than the AVGN did. Though Bugs Bunny probably didn't repeatedly beat the living tar out of you either so there's that to consider.

Man, I can remember I spent hours on end playing this game on a rainy day! The music takes me back!
Love the music and backgrounds. The brown wood wall and stone layout, with the music, are my personal favorite level's.
This one is forever in my heart
Llevaba como 21 años sin recordar este juego y aún recuerdo la música. Es tan buena que jamás se fue de mi mente.

Don't forget the fact that Bugs is moving like he is power walking through the stages to find his homosexual side to hold in his arms
It would be kinda awesome if there was a Nemesis Sylvester (A Nemesylvester?) to add a bit of psychological trauma to the mix.
Sphtufferin' SphTARS!
In the end it seems that Bugs Bunny is with his mother, I think that at that time they did not create Lola
It's Honey Bunny. She's a very obscure character and one of his love interests in the older Loony Toons Cartoons.
