1) even though you can jump on the bosses, touching any ordinary enemy results into an instant death; 2) the pyramids are in Desert Zone, not in Mexico Zone; 3) I don't know, I asked myself the same question when I got to that boss; 4) this isn't a question, but I agree.

This hack isn't quite perfect, it most notably corrupts Country Zone if you get there by regular gameplay (even though it works just fine if you get there by using a password), so I had to perform some black magic to record this video... but since I'm awesome, that was no problem :3
It's like they're made another copy version of Speedy Gonzales game into hacking roms, i believe they must be apparently a BIG FAN of Speedy & Sonic because both of them are fast runners.

Why the hell you can't attack enemies? Why are there Egyptian pyramids and such in Mexico? Why is Sonic fighting an oversized hedgehog? The original game didn't make much sense either XD

Well, both of them run fast and they have a similar body frame, it makes sense, if it wasn't for details like the cheese and the insta-death when you touch an enemy, this would almost feel like a legit Sonic game.
How did you get Country Zone to work right without glitching up? It all usually goes to hell after that. I wouldn't mind learning to sprite hack and add some further changes...
