Definitely think you could add a storage warehouse by the boat shop, or an industrial district near that unfinished section of the tram line. Although, it might not fit the theme too much, I still think adding one would be a great addition
Or maybe a converted warehouse that’s now home to a museum, or food stalls or shops - this would get you scale but also more opportunities for storytelling
Yes the city could use a maritime museum. An open pit mine, fx like the one in Kiruna (Sweeden), next to the rural distrikt would also be an interesting and challengeing feature, with interesting possibilities.
Some factory buildings in a classic brick Brooklyn style could fit. Especially if there's an external work area with machinery set up. Maybe one of the industrial buildings is a workshop for the tram line?
@Brickcrafts, you’re truly the best Lego Builder on RUclips by far! Your ideas and aesthetics are superb! It’s not simply just pleasure to watch you, but it is also inspiring to push Lego boundaries further! P.S. I am Totally in Love with your channel ❤
The technique you used on the lighthouse makes it really feel like an old, old building. Almost like it's been there for decades and the city just expanded over to it
It definitely makes it more realistic. You don't see too many lighthouses with buildings that close to a shoreline unless it's been there long before the other buildings came.
Lighthouses warn people to stay away because of stuff like dangerous rocks or suddenly shallow waters. I don't know why they'd have one right next to a pier.
@@samreddig8819 There are real lighthouses inside cities, but not positioned like that. It would be built on top of a hill, not at the lowest level, where is barely visible.
That lighthouse is spectacular! One suggestion I have is a staircase leading directly from the boat rental hut down to the docks. Right now the staircases are a bit too far from it to make sense for a hut to be where it is. Alternately, a ramp there would also make sense (with a bit of a landing in between two slopes) so dollys, wheelchairs, and the like can traverse both layers. The wall in that area should be long enough for a gradual slope - the staircase at the end could be removed for space (or changed to the other side of that wall, with its back against the air).
I think the lighthouse just being white was a super great idea! I like how it looks a little elegant and also doesn't distract too much from the rest of the city! It blends in so naturally!! Maybe it's because I don't live near a lighthouse, but it looks a little more realistic in my opinion too haha
Yeah, it just doesn't make sense to put the door right where it could get flooded out. Unless of course, it was doing double duty for a harbor master building.
I thought thought there should be another door on the upper level too. And a couple more windows. It would be very dark inside with only one small window
Idea: you could add a small motel or hotel overlooking the beach so that visitors will have direct access to the beach. Or a park, with swings, slides, and all that. I am just blown away by your builds.
The lighthouse looks great! I think a little vine made with any stud-compatible leaf elements starting from the vegetation and winding around the lighthouse in different directions would look cool; I like it when you add vegetation to some of your structures because it immediately adds age/wear to them and makes it so that some buildings look older than others, which is some amazing subtle story building for your city.
I get so much inspiration from your videos not just for Lego builds but for Minecraft as well. It really opens my mind to building techniques I might not have considered before. Keep up the great work, even if you burn out and need to space your videos out more, I for one will still be here watching from across the pond in the USA.
It'd be interesting to see a ramp down to the harbour or beach for people to drive boats down to the water - would be cool to have it ramp diagnally through the different levels
Extremely satisfying from so many perspectives: the lighthouse, the tiny gap filled, the crazy number of bags on the floor, and the promise of more to come with the lighthouse mechanism and the beach build. Thank you for sharing again!!!!
easily the best Lego channel out there right now. Awesome buildings, good editing skills and nice voiceover. Unlike some channels which just keep adding set buildings for contents sake without carefully thinking about the layout of the city. Keep up the good work, really extraordinary stuff.
I accidentally stumbled upon this project of yours a few weeks ago, Lego builds are not something that would normally be in my recommended, and now I’m incredibly invested! I get excited when I see there’s an update. The build looks amazing!
For the building technique of filling the small gap, perhaps you could use piece 2436b (Bracket 1 x 2 - 1 x 4 with Rounded Corners) so you do not have a continuous row of studs and can instead allow for several 1x2 tile pieces to continue the pattern throughout the entire build
Brings back a lot of memories. I used to be very much into Lego, and when I was a kid my mom ended up dating a guy who worked at LEGO in Enfield CT. I remember getting to go there with him one time, and it absolutely blew my mind. This must have been 1996 (So i was around 8) because everyone in the offices was playing Diablo hahah. Everyone there was super cool, a bunch of guys working there took time out to hang out with me, and let me go into a back room with all the sets and pick one out and help me build it. Then they gave me a bunch of glued together display pieces to take home. Looking back on it, was clearly a very cool place to work, with a bunch of creative people
Just a note, that people in the city will be annoyed by the lighthouse light sweeping over the city at night when they're trying to sleep. So maybe rather than have clear garage door pieces you need to add some solid/black door pieces on the city side to black out the light from sweeping across the city.
What about a shipyard? As it might be a cool addition as it would enable you to also build a logging cabin in the forest area to supply the shipyard with materials?
That's a lot of LEGO. When I was a kid I'd have to scrounge and scrounge for a single 1x2 flat element. This guy has about 3 thousand of them. It's making me jealous
Just amazing. I enjoy watching you try out different techniques and you are so skilled in determining what works and does not. I so look forward to these updates!
Always blows my mind when I watch this channel. The OCD and attention to detail. The vision , patience and solid grinding hard work. This guy is not only an expert Lego builder but also an artists. I hope you make good money from this channel because the hard work and dedication you deserve it.
Absolutely legendary build once again for the lighthouse. Incredibly smart techniques, it looks so awesome and realistic in terms of perspective and depth it adds to your city. Speaking about that, I remember how you explained in a previous update how you designed the mountain in the back with a gradual perspective shift and I was just thinking about something cool. How about a miniature mountain village all the way in the back? Miniature building is really a different style from what you normally show and I would love to see your take on it. So excited for what comes next, keep it up!
actually unbelievably entertaining to simply watch someone build amazing lego builds with a voiceover! you do it so well!
Right, and i cant wait for when he continuse on the other side of the rural distrikt…
The GOAT lego youtuber
My favorite Lego channel
Can't wait for the next one. Really cool stuff
YES. One of the best LEGO RUclipsrs out there in my opinion.

I agree, it could also go with the money laundering story. Maybe its where the weapons are being smuggled, so they can be sold to the mafia boss

Love seeing a lighthouse being added!

These building techniques are borderline genius and cursed at the same time and I am all for it

Good idea!
You read my mind!
Maybe a modern looking elevator, in a style of ones already at a station?
I did think the hut was a bit cut off from the dock for a boat rental.
@@jirivegner3711 an elevator, or I guess it would be more like an industrial lift, could work too! Especially if it was a construction yellow/orange.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. Most lighthouses are white.
@@JanR1995 I meant as opposed to the red and white stripes :)
@@emmah1161 i agree defenetly the right choice. :)
@@emmah1161 They are extremely unusual.

Amazing as always!
In my opinion the lighthouse entrance door should be on the upper level.
Yeah, it just doesn't make sense to put the door right where it could get flooded out. Unless of course, it was doing double duty for a harbor master building.

Honestly this might be my favorite city update of the whole series! Everything is so clean, and it just looks so detailed and cohesive!
no other lego creation has made me want to shrink down to minifig size and explore as much as yours has. incredible stuff!

The lighthouse adds so much height and visual interest to the harbour. Great addition!

A fire station would be ironically fire in your city! Would love to see it
I think you could put some leaves or plants on the lighthouse’s walls. It would make it look older. A little bit like a castle.

I love these videos, my favorite thing is how you figure out a way to make curves and pretty much any non straight lines fit in seamlessly
The lighthouse looks so realistic it doesn't even look lego. Your creativity on this city captivates me everytime. Well done, keep it up!
that lighthouse is so coooooolllll!!!!!!
He said squirrel almost correctly. This is an incredible achievement for German speakers everywhere.

But in reality, are lighthouses so close from a city ?
@@martinpenwald9475 Sometimes, yes
What the heck man. That light house is actually like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Your techniques are truly incredible.
Another amazing update, the lighthouse looks fantastic.
You should add a door to the lighthouse on the upper path, so it stays accessible during high floods.
There do exist lighthouse like that in real life.
As your project continues I'm more and more convinced that this is one of the best city projects on RUclips
That lighthouse is amazing!
I could watch these videos on loop for ages!
Thank you for the work you do!
