I had two of them in the shop attic. Haden't used one since Fuji cold weather training 1961. Got down to check them out, a couple of problems. Couldn't get the pump tube off the pump handle. Appeared threaded, but no matter how much you turn won't come loose. I just kept tugging and pulling and it finally came free. Second stove was same way, but just keep at it it'll finally come off. Brass, so didn't want to use vise or pliers. Leather "cup" seal on both had dried out. I placed them

on a paper towel and soaked overnight covered with 3 in 1 oil. Next day #1 pumped fine and unit fired. Not unit 2 however. I removed the pump seal, more oil, place the seal ove pump with a fender washer, tightened the screw down over the fender washer to spread the seal, a little more oil. Will try it later. Not sure where I'll get a new leather seal. I may just have to mike the dimensions and scout out one that will work, or close enough to work. I'm sure some company will have one?

You should at a minimum take the pump apart and oil the leather seal really well before you try anything. A couple of small adjustable wrenches and a flat tip screwdriver is about all you need to take apart pretty much everything. I used Neatsfoot oil on the leather, but 3 in one oil, or motor oil will work in a pinch. They are pretty good stoves, but they can be finicky, especially with the fuel/air mix. One of mine needed an adjustment with the air vents on the cup on the burner.
