That is an absolute amazing find The box that comes in is in very good condition You must have had a hard time doing the restoration It looks amazing Like it just came out of the factory
How sad am I? I actually got excited watching that being put together and lit. It is a thing of beauty to be sure. I love my SVEA 123 but would probably swap it for one of those!
I recently bought this model at a car boot sale. It needs a little work but it’s all there including wind shield. The tin isn’t as perfect a condition as yours but still ok. I need a new pump washer, and the alcohol tin needs a little soldering. Such a well thought out design and so compact.
Beautiful piece of kit - i'm just going to resurrect my late dad's brass stove after over 20 yrs of non-use (I tried it out around 20yrs ago against the coleman dual fuel stove in the snow and it only took around 45 secs longer to boil a litre of cold water than the coleman and the coleman is damned fast). I hope the generator still works, but first a bit of brasso, elbow grease and tlc before I get some alcohol and paraffin (kerosene) to try it out.
Wow that tin you have is in almost perfect condition. You even have the alcohol priming can but it appears to be missing the brass tube spout. You can make your own if you get a brass tube and solder the brass tube back in the can. You can look online and find there are spare parts like the windshields. Dont you just love them Sexy folding brass legs. I just picked up a Primus No 5R for a song and restoring it. Love these stoves.
@Bevoin1970 Thanks Paul, I've always loved little gizmos like this, especially anything that combines mechanical ingenuity with fire [does a crazy man laugh, hahaha...]; I actually used to use a Primus paraffin stove when I first started camping in the mid 1980s! OK, not as convenient as a Maccy D's, but great fun all the same.
We got to find you a spirit cup windscreen. Also try using better alcohol to prime the stove with as those yellow flames will soon soot up your pretty shiny stove. Great video.
@enpeemac Yeah i love both! Ive got at the moment a Tilley Guardsman X246 and a 246B but im soon to be getting a Tilley R1 radiator, but i wouldnt mind getting another brand of lamp but i dont know what as the other brands seem very expensive, any recommendations?
I have never seen anything like this before ever! and to think it all came from inside that little tin box, well Im flabbergasted. You made a brilliant video with this item, it looks fantastic, ( I would have loved that for a Christmas pressie ) and your chosen music suited it perfectly, well executed and timed to perfection. WOW!!! :-) Now where do you stick the kettle? :-) PS. I still find it hard to believe we went through with stuff like this before Macdonalds came along... ha ha

Did you find the pump washer?

Que coisa linda esse fogão, muito bem conservado, parabéns. Saudações do Brasil.

@cornishadz Yes, I must admit to having a soft spot for old pressure stoves but like the lamps even more - good old fashioned pyrotechnical fun :-)

I have one exactly the same !
wooou yo quiero una cocina asi, nice video
It would have been nice to see how you fill it with petrol. Great stove
Not trying to be pedantic but these stoves should never use petrol. They are designed to burn kerosene/paraffin.
Yes never use petrol lol for me that's why I prefer these the paraffin is less volatile.
How long would it take to boil that kettle with 2 pints of cold waterroughly?
Kind of you to share.
سبحان الله و الحمد لله و لا اله الا الله والله اكبر
Did it leak?
British made!
