animals living close to humans are fascinated by human speech. this one has started to make an attempt to emulate speech facility. It's amazing to see how dogs try their best to evolve in this direction. their close association with humans and due to all the love shared, they make this effort with such persistence.

Well, in fact, when I decided to adopt him before this man came into his life and they bonded like that? I would for sure let him stay with his dad/ mom, because I didn't bond with him yet. That's real love for animals, let them go and give them the best opportunity in live, put your ego/ emotion aside. 🤗🇳🇱

I totally get it. I come from a very abusive, childhood home, which I left at 17. At 20, I got a kitten and named him Morgan. I did love him, but when he got very old and needed extra care, and, at the same time, I became painfully disabled from the childhood injuries... That's when I really understood love in a new way. We took care of each other in our mutual physical struggles. I was in my late 30s. Morgan passed when I was 40. I met my husband a year later. I swear, I couldn't have loved my husband the way I do if Morgan hadn't taught me first.

Pitties are such great dogs. My boy is a rescue, too. Got him 6 months ago. He came into the shelter on a Sunday night and I volunteered the next Monday morning and I was the first one to see him. Even before the staff did. He hadn't been cleaned or had his checkup yet and he was filthy. Only 9 months old... neutered, but not chipped. I asked the staff to hurry up and make his kennel card so I could be the first to reserve him. I brought toys and treats the next few days and by the time I took him home that Saturday he already knew... this is my dude. I am retired, so we go everywhere together. He just had a DQ soft serve.

No I can't. I'm old and my last visit to the hospital lasted three and a half months. My daughter had me put in the hospital and stole my cat and dog while I was there, along with everything else I owned. By the time I was out they had both died, my cat and my precious little dog. My babies. They were old but mistreated by my daughter. Anyway, if I should have to be hospitalized I wouldn't have any one to take care of them now. It doesn't matter how much I crave having a pet for love and company, I wouldn't put them through that possibility. If I died there would be no one to take them and I wouldn't trust anyone anyway. The last hospital visit was strictly due to my daughter lying so she and her husband could gain control of my home and belongings. There was nothing wrong with me. That crushed me but to add more pain to misery, they stole both of my precious pets... unforgiveable! The hospital kept me that long because they had threatened my life too. My heart hurts.

Sounds pretty unusual to me? Maybe not the dog making him a better person part, but the rest of the story is!! Also, I can't figure out if your for or against humans having dogs? You said we don't deserve them. Which I disagree with. Some humans do, and some dont. In some cases, dogs and humans deserve eachother, but in all cases dogs deserve humans! They are domesticated animals! Perhaps you mean if we could go back in time and never make them domesticated, or make breeds? Idk, but in this present time dogs deserve humans because we made them to need us, and I believe you may feel this way as well because at the end of your comment you said 2 dogs getting forever homes was a win-win. Edit: I had to come back to this. Your comment bothered me so much..especially since this many people are liking it. Dogs NEED us just as much as we WANT them. The quality of life they live without us is equal to a bum(homeless person) that we pass by on the street. However our life doesn't change at all without them. Sure we may feel like we're "missing" something but will still continue to push forward in life. There's a reason a dog waits for you by the door when you get home because he/she knows what you've done for their life and they love you/have your back.

Much happiness to you both, I love dogs too :) Keep busy walking feeding and even cooking special treats and biscuits lol. Once you get her shots he'll grow nice and healthy with you. Congrats!

He learned nothing! except maybe how to delude himself into thinking his actions are justified, meanwhile, another broken heart in his wake so that he can have what he thinks he wants or needs to make him happy without any regards for anyone else... But they ended up feeling Obgligated to. Its like Some one getting in the middle of two people's relationship... He got in the middle. He only thought about himself. The right thing for him to have done was to return the dog for the family that had pretty much adopted him. He did put them on the spot. I'm sure this dog bonded with the other family the same way. We rescued a dox-bull, and he’s the most emotionally expressive creature I’ve ever met. It’s just so obvious when he’s annoyed and trying to get over it or when he’s disappointed. When he was a pup, he’d make different noises and watch our reaction or correction. He created his own language.

And i have a cat the same way, he is very smart, example, when he doesn't want or like something, he makes a low noise and shakes his paw, like flicks it up and down. He is always talking. So it is not just dogs who do this. Certain animals are very smart.

The kitty love of my life died 20 years ago and I still miss him enormously. Not every day, but deep inside where it sometimes feels like I’m being cut open. My last cat was given to me by a friend, so I’d known her her whole life, and from the experience of having this very old cat (she was 19 when she died) I’ve decided that the next time I’m able to adopt (I’m currently living in a no-pets apartment), I’m going to adopt old kitties. They’re so sweet and all they really need is an open lap and lots of kitty kisses.

What a gift to have those footprints embedded on your heart. I've got them too. I realized that because of those first paw prints, each set that comes after, the depth of my love and appreciation for what we share (and have shared) intensifies. ~ Greater to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all.

With very limited income and a pandemic hitting the county hard, moving is not really an option. I’ve lived here for three years and my rent is still the same as when I moved in. The last place I live (in SF, not where I am now), I had great landlords, but they raised my rent the allowable amount every year, which means that after seven years, I was paying $1,000/month more than I was when I moved in. I came to my current location for a job, I’m now retired, and I’ll never be able to afford to live in SF again, so staying put is my best plan.
