I feel literally unstoppable with these wheels! Rocks, cracks, bricks, curbs, they’re all my playthings now 😂 I was really into long boarding in my early 20s so it’s a sensation that I’m familiar with and really love. Thanks for watching dude!
Algorithm, we need to talk. THIS is the kind of video I want to watch. Not the same video appearing on my feed for the 10th time. Great stuff, Skate Oasis.
Nice! I've been really into the OJ look for a couple of years but the 78a's are a little too soft for the riding I do (Mostly skatepark and mini ramp) so when I saw the 87a formula online I grabbed them right away! They're so awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Everything you need to be informed, to see and to hear about a wheel to get a good idea! Thank you, every review should cover this! Looks like an interesting wheel! How is the grip/slide on smoother vs rougher surfaces?
hey bro, glad you're having fun. I am really curious if these 87A are better than the 78A version. because the latter chunked on me so badly, I didnt want to use them any longer. for my cruising purposes I am currently using some mini logo hybrid 90A, which are cheaper and work equally as well, while being faster on smooth ground and never chunked on me.
Hey thanks for your comment. Honestly I don’t know. These are my first set of OJs. I’ll definitely let you know if they do but so far after ~10 sessions they’re still in perfect shape.
Best wheels! I’ve had my set A few years now and trust me that board definitely gets used heavily! I have the green ones but I definitely want the orange next
I have this Hole In My Hand, I Keep falling onto the palm of my hand. really annoying. I fell today while skateboarding on the hip during a 180 pivot, and then the skateboard slipped away under me on the bank. I didn’t come out linearly to the direction of flight when I tried to do the pivot, and I ended up kind of tripping over myself. What Wheels can You recommend for Woodenramps, to get me more Grip?? I dont want to buy spitfire wheels for almost 100 Dollars xD I also do some Streetskating and the otherskatepark has some smooth concrete surface which I loved with my 101A Spitfires, I am looking for something inbetween so I dont have to swap the setup all the time..
Going a little softer on wood ramps would be my suggestion. The Powell Dragons are fantastic wheels! They also held up super well, I skated them really hard for a full year and they didn’t chip or flat spot or anything! They’re also really quick and definitely help soak up the bumps and cracks. 😂 I know it’s a video promoting OJs but it’s not sponsored so my advice is go with something in the 93-97a territory. Dragons, X-Formula, Speed Labs… there’s a bunch of great slightly soft wheels out there now! Thanks for your comment 🙌🫡 Y’all come back now yhear 😆
They both are! Kimble is like the OG, almost DIY-feeling park. It's a bit more chill and open. Garrison is the new one downtown, big bowl, lots of fast lines. I'm super grateful to have access to good skateparks!
@@skate_oasis I just moved to Moncton recently but haven't skated any of the parks here yet. Trying to get back on the board soon after not skating for a number of years now.
😆 it’s true! The cobblestones designed to slow people down around the perimeter of the park did nothing! They’re sick as hell all terrain vehicle wheels!
@@skate_oasis My local park is as rough as a badgers bum so I ride the 78a 60mm, pure butter. Also I'm 54 so the softer wheels help the old knees. Keep shredding.
I hear that for sure. I’d be going faster and sliding easier with a harder wheel but I don’t mind the slight reduction in speed and increase in grip. I don’t even really skate any crusty spots, I just like the feel. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm pretty sure they're 78 a... Does OJ make an 87a??... They should.. that would make a perfect hybrid wheel.... Nice shredding... I'm addicted to these wheels too they're the best❤🛹🏁
Nope - these are 87A lol, I'm looking at the wheels right now. The vast majority of super juice wheels are 78a but I found these on Empire a few months ago. Allegedly, OJ is bringing them back soon but right now they're widely unavailable. They do make an excellent hybrid wheel and they've found themselves a permanent place on my driveway/street spot setup. Thanks for watching and commenting! Stay radial friend!
So I got these through Empire in Canada. I've actually reached out directly to NHS (OJ/Santa Cruz/Creature's Parent Company) and they said these aren't discontinued and should be re-stocked 'soon'. They do have this duro available in their keyframe shape, which is a more traditional street skating shape as well. I really like a wide, fat wheel, so I wasn't interested in those. Powell also makes a few wheels similiar to these. The rat bones come in a 60mm at 90a durometer, the mini cubics come in a 95a, and there is a 60mm dragon rat bone wheel at 93a. I bet the 78a super juice wheels are awesome too, but I have ridden 78a wheels before and they're a bit too sticky and slow for the skatepark for me. Thanks for watching! Keep an eye out online and let me know what you find.
Going over bricks with big softer wheels is so satisfying!

I have a set of 78a 60mm to commute and I just go through everything. I love them!

Grips very nicely on rougher surfaces but I didn’t rip them too hard outside of the park. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Isn't buying OJs in any colour other than orange kinda like buying a Ferrari in anything other than red? LOL. I bet the green ones look rad!
This is such an awesome video!
Hey thanks for watching and the nice words 🙏 just trying to spread the stoke!

These or the OJ Super Juice? Which's faster for rollin?
These are faster in most situations. If you’re skating really rough stuff though the softer 78a formula is probably going to feel faster and smoother.
@@skate_oasis the Super Juice is also 78A. And also I am thinking to get the 55 super juice or 54.5 slimes...to earn low riderity:P
The Fredericton skatepark looks so fun to skate!

They look very appealing... like a big piece of candy...
Like a big old orange 🍊
The looks really appeal to me!
I have the "mini" version of those (55mm), time will tell on their durability but they're so much fun to ride.
I bet the minis are awesome! I'm over the moon with these - love the feel and the look. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@skate_oasis Anytime dude! now review that damn Ditch Life you have! haha

These things shine best on gnarly and crusty terrain kinda doesn't make sense for mainly park and transition but to each their own

@jamierocks7979 get the Keyframes, they're 87A on a conical shape.
How that ones would compare with the rat bones 60mm 90a?
Man I can’t find these 87a wheels anywhere. Anyone got a line on these
