    Today was a day of triumph as I faced my fears and soared to new heights in my mountain biking journey. I hit the biggest jump I’ve ever done at the world-renowned Maydena Bike Park in Tasmania, a little west of Hobart. This park is a gem in the world of mountain biking, boasting some of the best trails Australia has to offer.
    I had three main goals for today’s ride:
    Conquer Dirt Church, a challenging double black gap jump line
    Land at least one of the pro line jumps on Maydena Hits
    Complete the on-off container jump at the bottom of the park
    Each of these goals presented its own set of challenges, but with determination and a bit of courage, I managed to tick all of them off my list. The jumps were massive, the trails steep, and the conditions muddy, but that’s all part of the thrill of mountain biking.
    Starting at the very top of the park, which has an elevation drop of close to 1000 metres, we embarked on our adventure on a blue trail called Skyline.
    From there, we moved on to the black diamond tech trail, King Brown. The footage may not look very steep, but trust me, it’s a whole different story when you’re there in person.
    Next, we tackled Dirt Church, one of the biggest double black jump lines in the park. With the help of our local guides, Ted and James, I managed to complete the entire line. That’s one goal down!
    Our adventure continued as we headed further down the hill to check out Maydena Hits. These jumps are absolutely massive and quite intimidating, but with some encouragement from my friends, I managed to conquer the first big jump. That’s two goals down!
    Finally, we made our way down the flowy Nordic trail to the bottom of the hill, ending on the black diamond Showtime trail. This is where my final goal of the day lay - the on-off container jump.
    This adventure is just the beginning. I’ll be sharing more videos from Maydena over the next month as part of a 5-part series I’m filming in Tasmania. We spent 2 days at Maydena Bike Park, two full days in Blue Derby, and 1 day at South Hobart trails. There are already a few raw videos from these places on my channel, but I’d love to hear from you. Let me know in the comments if this is the type of content you want to see more of.

    Good vid mate. You should come out to Mystic Park in Bright, Victoria. Wait until the end of the year as the same people who own Maydena are about to take ownership of Bright and build a bunch of new tracks!

    Hey mate, I liked this style of edit too, what type of Mic are you using for your voiceover? Grab a pop filter or wind sock to reduce some of the popping in the voice overs and double check your mic levels when recording it. Not a diss at all just thought it might be helpful.

    • @JohnnyThe_G
      @JohnnyThe_G  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks heaps dude! I noticed the mic levels I was just to busy/lazy to go re record it to be completely honest 🤦
      I’ve got this

      Have been using it for years now and was surprised with its quality, I used to use a blue yeti which didn’t sound as good
