I’m thinking of getting this bike as I’m on a budget and while I still consider $3,000 a lot I think I can make this work. Thanks for the detailed review.
I have this bike and I absolutely love it. I'm an experienced rider (on a budget) and it works fine, as long as you don't forget it's a trailbike. My biggest issue is getting used to 29'' wheels. After 3 months riding it, I'm still having a hard time with manuals, but this has nothing to do with the bike.
My NP Reactor has similar geo and think these 1230mm wb all mountain bikes pretty much do everything and are more capable than some the shorter wb bikes like a Ripley. A couple years ago I wouldn't have chosen a short/med travel bike but they are so good now that aside from bike park use, they are my go to.
I've had mine since early June and this thing absolutely rips. Unfortunately, I got the SRAM build and know that I will need to replace the derailleur when it breaks, but I haven't had any real issues with so far. And, I will agree with you that the suspension is a tad difficult to get dialed in. BUT, if you can find one... buy it
Devinci bikes have been known to be very progressive leverage curves. Was the suspension short comings the build or leverage curve progressivity? Is it a "poppy" bike like their other offerings or dialed down for begin/int riders? 🤔
I did not feel it was the leverage curve causing the feedback, the shock was packing up on more aggressive trails. Up until I really pushed the bike it felt good with no issues. As I mentioned in the video I did my best to ride trails that the consumer would ride on this bike.
I wish they sold this frame only. 130mm travel Split Pivot with Boost spacing would fit my needs nicely, and I have plenty of 29er parts sitting around. But $2600-$3000 just to get the frame makes me cross shop this with things like the Norco Optic carbon frame.
Which one would you recommend between Marshal, Trek Fuel EX 5 and RM Instinct Alloy 10? I have never ridden Full Susp but had ridden HT in easy trails. I rather a bike that is more confident in descent, corners and efficient enough on the climb. So, which one do you think is best for the price and what I am looking for? Thanks
My rear shock is leaking too. Going to try to warranty it. Although I have a factory DPX2, waiting on hardware to put that on. I’m also running a 150mm pike ultimate. Next mod will be either a complete new rear wheel or just a better hub with quicker engagement
@@OneMoreRunb the pike ultimate was something like 1.5 pounds lighter, if I remember correctly. I’m also running the DPX2 rear shock now. Loving the suspension setup.
What length dropper is on that bike? I picked up a Marshall in March and it came with a 130mm Tranz-x dropper and it looks like the review bike has a longer drop.
I love it always comes down to brakes on all budget brakes for more advanced riders. But as a company trying to keep bikes a decent price you have to give it up somewhere.
The Shimano RT66 (SLX) rotors are resin and metallic compatible, so you can pick whichever type of pad suits your riding and terrain. I don't ride super hard and the resin pads provide more than enough stopping power for me. I'm sure most people will be fine with the stock brakes.
can this bike handle the blue to a single black trail in the bike parks, being ridden by a beginner/intermediate female rider? or will she be overwhelmed because on the brakes on those long and fast bike park descends ?
It's a shame the price went up so much on this. It seemed like a solid deal at the original $2100 with a Canadian-made frame, but $2600 with that fork is unfortunate.

Good choice. We're about to give this bike away, so be sure to head over to our website in the next few days to enter!
@@TheLoamWolf Ohhhh that would be awesome!!!! Entering nowwwwww!

I bought this bike last summer and I love it so much that I upgrade it for full GX Eagle

Love my Devinci! 2013 Dexter.

Just got an sx version with 50 miles on it for $1900 I think I did pretty well!
Man, I want this bike! Entered the contest! 🤞🤞🤞

Beautiful ✌🏼😊👍🏼
77 seat tube angle. Come on guys! Your scaring away buyers!

Did upgrading the fork significantly drop the weight overall?

looks like a solid bike

Yeah seems to be the most constant issue! I would imagine some metallic pads would help that bite allot
@@fullpullmtb probably have to switch rotors as well if those rotors don’t take metallic pads.

Oh I am sure the majority of people will be fine with the brakes, my comment was more towards harder charging riders who are on a budget.
That seat tube number you've claimed is off by 10°
Does this bike come stock with a drop seat?
Are devinci bikes direct to consumer
No. I love the direct to consumer. Buying it from a bikeshop is way to much work

It will handle it yes. However some slight upgrades as she rides more wouldn't hurt. Namely powerful brakes and solid tires.
Looking for a MT BIKE to hit the trails, what other bike is comparable to this bike. For similar budget price range. New to intermediate riders.
We did a Sub 3k bike roundup a couple months back! Check it out for a few great options.
interesting
SEAT TUBE ANDLE IS ETHER WRONG OR A DEAL BRAKER. You state and put up 67 degree on the video....
Most likely it was "actual seat tube angle" rather than "effective seat tube angle "
Seat tube angle is around 76 degrees, probably just got the number flipped.
It was an error, 76.9 / 77 degrees. Thank you

67° sta is a no go for me. I'm out
Sorry for the error @dawnweride the STA is 76.9/77 not 67. Cole switched the numbers around while speaking.
