Quick straight to it and easy!! thank you.. the problem i was trying to solve and searched almost an hour for before finding this video, and now it works. god bless and thank you!
That ending was so awkward 🤣, but it helped me alot!! I just bought the Audiotechnica usb+ for my ps5 so I can stream and no other video had what I needed. But this was to the T, thank you!!.
Did you get it to remain or do you have to manually change it every time you get on. The reason I say this is because whenever I unplug my headset from my controller and re plug it in it switches both input and output to the headset neglecting the separate mic that I have. It does work however when I do it manually but just to save time and sanity is there a way of keeping it permanent so I don’t come across this problem again?
possible to get the ps5 to remember the settings? I have the ps5 pulse 3D headset and the roccat torch microphone, but every time i start ut my ps5 i have to select input and output source.
bro this video was such a lifesaver. i was in the middle of buying some gaming products including a microphone+boom arm and it was usb so i could use it for my ps5 but my hyperx headphones had a build in mic so i was so confused and stressing. but thanks to you i know how to work around it now.
Thought this would solve my problem, but sadly, although the PS can now see the individual headset/mic, it thinks the mic is muted. UPDATE: Got it to work, had to do with the order in which I activated each device, thanks so much!
How do you get it to remain in that order because whenever I unplug my headset and plug it back into my controller it switches both input and output to the headset one completely neglecting the separate mic
@@jaspr467 they don't remain, I have to redo it each time but I've got it down now and have no problems with it. I pair the air buds first, then set the mic to the mic on the controller, then I plug in the mic I want to use and reset it to that mic and check the levels, which produces a lot of static if there is a problem. I find that doing it this way every time hardly ever results in that static. When I do get the static, I unplug the mic, reset the connection to "mic on controller," plug the mic back in and re-associate it.
@@Gamerat60 Yeah its bullshit from Sonys side. Idk whats so difficult to let everything in place or automatically switch back to the right settings. Another funny thing is that you can only use a USB DAC that supports UAC1 instead of the more modern UAC2 (USB AUDIO CLASS)
Will you be able to edit the mic audio and the game audio seperately via Sharefactory Studio in this way too so that game audio or voice audio being too loud or soft compared to the other can be equalised through making one of them softer/louder? Also, are there wireless ways of using a headset with standalone mic combo too since this would seem hard to do with a living room setup in which people are several meters away from their tv? Lastly, a way to seperate the game's audio and a mic's audio is to use a capture card however, that usually also requires a good quality laptop/desktop to use alongside the Playstation, or you need a good pc/laptop with something like OBS Studios or something.
Will the audio quality improve slightly when you do this? I experience better audio on Teams meetings when my mic and headphones are diff devices, I wonder if it will be the same for PS5?
Thank you for this video. I do have another issue tho. After following your steps, how do I set up a chat link with my HD60 C capture card so that people watching my stream can also hear me??? Anything helps 🙏🏽
If you’re trying to adjust the volume of the mic and it says “your mic is muted” check to see if you ps5 controller is muted. I had mine muted and it would not allow me to use my blue mic. Hope this helps someone. Cause I was struggling to figure out why my damn mic was showing up as “muted” if it wasn’t lol
Will this work with a wired headset instead of Bluetooth, I have an audio jack headset but my USB Microphone does not have an area to plug it in, can I use this method with a wired one?
Do you use a capture card? I use a laptop and an elgato hd60x capture card. I have to plug my headset into my laptop which is a (turtle beach 600 series) for it to capture game audio from my ps5, then I use discord to talk to people I’m playing with. The issue is that my ps4 friends can’t connect to discord easily. I can’t hear game chat audio in games like apex legends because of this, I can easily unmute my ps5 controller and they can hear me but again I can’t hear them. I feel like there should be a simple way to fix this but I’m not that tech savvy. I also have a mic I want to hook up so that I can easily reply to my stream chat without interrupting my friends or letting my random teammates hear me while talking to my stream chat. I could use some advice please haha. 😊
Hi there, ok that part I get but when I go into a live stream I can't hear my voice in my headset. I have the ps5 3d headset. What can I do so I can hear my voice in my headset?
Can you also use the external mic to talk to people in game lobby but tapping the on and off mic switch on the controller of the ps5? My dilemma is that i would like the quality audio in my RUclips gameplay videos sound better but i wonder if the mic quality improves when i talk in the game chat
Hello I have an arctic 7 headset and an elgato wave 1 microphone . I’m not currently able to input my sound through the elgato wave 1 on ps5 . Any ideas ?
what about if you have a 3rd party controller and you use a wired headset? so i use a different account to get the better audio and use my 3rd party to play with. but doing that cuts off communication
so i use my spare controller and sign in on a guest account and plug in the headset to the controller assigned to guest so i can get the audio i need. is there a loophole where i dont need to do that?
If you connect an external mic to the PS5 and a different headset as Output it’s still possible to mute/unmute the mic by tapping the mute button on the controller ? I would like to buy an external mic but I don’t wanna take my hands off controller just to unmute mute.
Thank you so much bro. I had no idea what was going on after I had just bought a mic for my streams and this was a lifesaver. 👍

Me too, when I choose my maono mic it switches the output to the mic too. Can’t separate it

Till now no you can't but it doesn't seem like an issue it just takes 10 seconds to switch the settings
You get a like and a big sub for that video. Saved my life hahaha
Can you use it to talk to people in voice chat in a game
Helped out a ton thanks!
