I have a 2016 3.8. I did lots of research on it in 2020 and 2021 during quarantine days. The 3.8 N/A/ can reach 340whp+ without a built engine. With Remnant Performance turbo kit, it can reach 450 to 470whp "safely" with the new MAP sensor. I was told the engine would definitely have to be built when trying to go above 520 wheel power. Trying to go above 7 or 8 psi on stock block is dangerous. Again, this is based on research I did. Everyone says the BK2 3.8 is the most expensive to build out of all the models, and even then, it still can't get as a much horsepower as a built 2.0.
The best sounding exhausts I have heard for the 3.8 are Solo Performance, Ark DTS, and ISR racing exhaust. Based on all the research I did on them in 2021, Solo Performance is the one I plan to go with. It has a low idle, but loud when accelerating, and there is no drone. That is based on videos I have listening to, and reviews I have read. Everyone says the ISR racing exhaust is too loud, but some people get used to it. I don't want to have a loud car that is slow.
Keep the content rolling. Excited for the bk2 38.

@@bikotheanimator6169 bro why are you on every genesis coupe video? We get it you did research 👏🏽
I am here. Even though I have a 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8

Our selection isnt based on sound, it was based on exhaust geometry to create the best performing solution
@@BTRcarcustoms I know. Just pointing out the sound though.
What about upper and lower intake manifold porting or throttle body porting?
Curious as well
Ty
Is there anyway to tune a bk1 3.8 auto trans
At the moment we dont have a way to tune the tcu on the bk1 zf auto
Just buy a 2013 -2016 that come stock with 348hp
Yeah sadly it’s really around 270-280 wheel
@alvrzsape4595no tune? cap lmfao
just cold air intake, manifold riser, downpipes, testpipes, headers stock (for while), exhaust.@@zzbk2
Just boost it and get an intake 🤣🤣
Well technically forced induction kits come with their own intake. We will be making a separate video on forced induction for the 3.8s
When is bk2 3.8 coming out?
This week :)
@@BTRcarcustoms ok cool thx for the reply cant wait!
