I fell in love with a genny when i saw one around my neighborhood years ago. Bought myself one in the same color. and i actually found the guy who owned that genny i saw years ago and now we follow each other on IG lol
Hyundai actually listened and gave everyone the affordable RWD, turbo coupe people were whining for at a time when we though they were all dying off and no one bought it because "it was still a Hyundai"
The marketing for the GC sucked. I did not even know the car existed before February of 2013. There just happened to be a Hyundai dealership next to the Toyota dealership where I was test driving the new FR-S. I saw a '13 Genesis Coupe sitting out front and stopped to check it out. I ordered my 2.0T that afternoon.
@@kevinzaragoza9117 I bought a 2014 2.0t r-spec with 68k on the odo and couldn't be happier. It has some rattles and quirks just like any other car. The rattles were concerning at first but they're "normal". The turbos that did go bad usually went early on, for mine it had been replaced at 42k miles, but i'm also pretty sure the previous owner ran it hard and probably wasn't changing his oil regularly. Just run good oil, do oil changes every 3k, change/wash filters regularly, put better fluids in the transmission & diff and she outta be golden. Also highly recommend an oil catch can be installed, especially if you live in an area with really cold winters. Super easy and cheap diy project that can help prolong the engines' health.
I just recently bought a 3.8 bk2 Genesis coupe. :) Absolutely loving it. I'm the only one in my area with one, so people always appreciate seeing something other than American muscle or WRXs driving around.
This is the reason i got the genesis coupe. They’re different & not seen around every block i go…I’ve had mine for half a year with 0 problems. I love driving it & talking to random people about it bc not a lot of people know about them. Others will of course have different experiences but i highly recommend them, Even the BK1 4-cylinder can create a good amount of power if done correctly & they look more sporty than the BK2
I have a 2.0T and I love it. It’s been reliable and easy to work on if you’re new to the community. The best first sports car I could’ve bought for the money hands down.
Honestly, this channel sold me on wanting the Genesis Coupe as my first car with the "So you want a ___" video. Been saving up for a while and just purchased a 2016 ultimate with only 20k miles. Was a blast to test drive and I'm so excited to drive it! And yall already know where I'm gonna get my wheels, tires and suspension from lol! Great vids as always too!
genesis coupes are really underrated, i really wish we had a bigger community behind them that’s why i love when people with bigger platforms kinda shine a little spotlight on them. You’d be surprised how much untapped power we have, 2.0T’s are literally V8 killers 🏎💨
From experience I’ve owned a g35, driven a g37 and I currently own a genesis and it’s one of the most fun cars I’ve owned and it’s cheaper and easier to work on than the g37 and I always have people asking me “what car is that” and complimenting my car. The only downside is that the aftermarket support isn’t as the popular “tuner cars”
Just bought one a month ago absolutely love it. These cars are making a comeback rn and everyone wants them. Prices are insane for them lol. Got a steal on mine took me 2 weeks of looking to find it.
Honestly everything in this video was well put. Coming from the Genesis community I can admit. Some people in the community are pretty toxic but that’s how the world turns. I drove a brand new 2016 ultimate edition and I absolutely fell in love with the styling and performance of the car. If you are looking to get one (for the right price of course) go for it!
Nice vid. I recently bought a 2016 BK2 3.8. bought it with under a 1000km on the ODO. Loving this car so far. Great for entry level, budget minded enthusiast like myself.
I've had my Gen for almost 3 years now, I swear it's actually the easiest car to work on. Swapped a trans in under 3 hours on the floor by myself. Need to take the engine out? Just take the whole front end, rad support out in like 20 minutes. Last time I pulled the dash I had it out in like 45 minutes ...
Bought my 2012 3.8 R-Spec brand new a decade ago. Great cars...I've only had ONE serious issue out of it in all these years. The clutch wouldn't come back up when I pressed it. I took it to the dealership, they took the car to the back, fixed it, and sent me on my way. No hassling over warranty or any other nonsense. I would 100% buy another coupe if they re-released it. The new sedans look nice enough...but I'm just more of a coupe guy.
@@hassaanawan9606 I honestly don't remember. I just know when I pressed it down, I had to put my foot under it and lift it back up manually. Getting out of 1st was a b!tch, but it wasn't too bad once I got going. Happened about three years ago iirc. So the car was like seven or so years old. Haven't had any mechanical issues with it since. Cosmetic stuff is starting to wear now though (headliner).
Update (Likely unneeded, but I'm sharing anyway😁) : Finally got rid of my baby after 13 years. I bought a '22 GR Supra 3.0 premium. The Genesis was still running strong and looking good, I just thought it was finally time to upgrade to something more modern (and faster).
Alex and the editors are so next level. You guys elevate this channel. Every video in this series or any with Alex feel so natural, never forced. Good shit.
Had my genesis for a while, I fell in love with it. I end up getting into and accident just a month after paying it off. Was able to walk away without a scratch but can’t say the same about the Gen. Is this what pain feels like?
literally someone rear ended me a month ago and got to walk away with a scratch and my car is gone forever. ☹️ & I don’t want another car, I want MY car
I love my 2010 Coupe. She's got the track package, beyond that I've kept her stock. Took her up into the mountains, and it was the most fun I've ever had in a car. The older body looks sharper and slick, but I might be a bit biased.
As someone who’s never owned a genesis I can unbiasedly confirm that the older body is muchhh sharper and sleeker. The new one essentially looks like a velostar coupe from the front. Too soft looking for me
@@massnavii I have one just like gen 2010 it is my project and reading the comments I think I will stay with it for a long time and I will upload it to the maximum power
Really happy with my bk2 3.8, going on a little over 2 years with it and I don’t regret it. I wanted something different than the frs/brz or 350/370z that I see everywhere.
I poured money into a '13 2.0T for 4 years. Had it for my length of my marriage and took nightly rides to relieve stress from the military. Totaled it going 5mph into an F150's trail hitch. This was almost a year ago and I recently looked up the VIN and saw a picture of her in a junkyard. I know holding sentimental value to "things" can be stupid but seeing her there felt like it symbolized my past life just gone away and no doubt it broke ya boy's heart...
Good video! When my previous car became too much to handle, I decided I wanted something else. I spent over a year looking for a V6 manual Genesis Coupe. I spent a lot of time on Carvana as you mentioned. Everytime a Genesis Coupe popped up, it was sold within hours and I couldn't get my hands on one. I forgot that the Genesis sedans had V8 options at the time and I stumbled across a 2012 4.6L sedan. It was at an Infiniti dealer in the lot with a sticker that said "not for sale" but I immediately called the Infiniti dealer and told them to hold it for me. She only had 22k miles on her. I LOVE owning weird obscure cars, I've owned a lot in my day. I REALLLLLY love the Genesis models in particular. I was dreaming of a V6 manual Genesis Coupe but my one stipulation for getting a car that was automatic, is that it had to be a V8 and I got it. I still would like to own a Genesis Coupe with a manual trans. I wish Hyundai would continue to make the coupe!
I was expecting a lot of flack and toxicity in this video. Glad there wasn't much hate. It was between a used 370z, BRZ, and the Coupe and I chose the coupe. You don't see them on the road that often and I liked the unique platform. Liked how the R-Spec was set up well and they are a heck of a value for what you got. I AutoX mine and have a blast while doing it. Exhausts on these cars sound legit. I went the custom route with an Ferrari Ansa 456 mid pipe, downpipe, and test pipe and I get comments on the daily. I have a 3.8 but and got it tunes and have it 278whp. They just released a Supercharger that can get it 350whp from D'TOZ.
I've had my 2011 Gen Coupe for 10 years now. And now daily a G80. Love the Coupe and the whole Genesis lineup. Hoping for a fancy new coupe under the Genesis badge in the future!
I have a 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track model with all the bells and whistles. I live in Florida, and tried dealing with local dealers in the Tampa Bay area, with no luck. So I went shopping on line, found three great deals, one in Missouri, one in Georgia, and one in Texas. Worked out the best deal with the Texas dealership just north of Galveston. I flew from Tampa International, they picked me up at the airport in Texas, and in two hours, I had my brand new Platinum Silver Genesis, and a $400 check in my pocket to reimburse me for my flight. Took the long way home and did some sight seeing for two and a half days going home to St. Pete Beach. I've had Corvettes, Mustangs, and Camaros, but I will never get rid of this fabulous car. I constantly get compliments on this car, every where I go. Garage kept, with only 39,000 miles on it today, and it still looks showroom new. Another great thing about the Genesis Coupe is that it is one of the safest sports cars you can own. The crash rating is one of the best with comparable sized cars. Whereas the Elantra, Veloster, and Sonata have awful ratings. The people at the Hyundai/Genesis dealership here where I keep it serviced have told me for the past two years that a Genesis Coupe prototype has been designed and that a planned release is coming soon. I would love to see that.
I've had my Genny for 7 years now. And I'm ready to move on. The car definitely caters to a younger used car market generation. Most people with the money for a new sports coupe are into "better" vehicles. I've watched so many Genny groups die as a result as people move on to other platforms.
I’m in the same boat. The only time I’d get another one would be if I had money to own several cars. Or an insane deal on a very low mileage bk2 3.8 :p
I hear you man, I've had my genny since november 2010... definitely saw the peak of the community and now its more so become the "entry" level car for younger kids highschooler-ish. I still have mine and continue to modify and just have it as a project/weekend car. That being said its been 11 years ago I got the car when i was 21, I've grown got an actual professional job so of course the change in my pocket has grown and so has my taste and now more practical cars are in my eyes. I will never sell my genny tho!
I bought my 15 coupe 5yrs ago because I wanted something that was different and there wasnt many in the area. Just a few months ago I still had people ask me what my car was and complement me on it. I still love the car to this day between performance and styling for the price.
Gonna be honest. All a car needs is the basic requirements as well as: AC, radio, kinda peppy engine, 5 or 6 speed manual, practically indistictable. And I'll drive that forever.
I love how you explain the KDM Curse as a one reason or another almost like no one knows why people try it and then always go back. Then from 10:23 to 10:35 and from 11:15 to 11:35 you go on to explain EXACTLY why the KDM Curse is a thing. Even though a curse is usually something you cant control. Its like they always make something that on paper SEEMS GREAT, but skip or cheap out on all the little things that add up to a less than great total experience. Like the 2.0T not giving full boost until the oil temp hit 180 degrees (which on a winter day would never happen). Sure they eventually released a software update that lowered it but a lot of early adopters had to deal with it for a few years before they got around to fixing it. The main issues I had were the shifter rattle, wastegate rattle, seatbelt issues (it wouldn't register that my seatbelt was buckled and would ding the entire hour drive to work, it finally got fixed after 3 trips to the dealer) , and the absolutely atrocious amount of rev hang . The oil temp, wastegate rattle, and rev hang were easily fixed with a tune, but I shouldn't HAVE to tune a brand new car to fix issues that honestly shouldn't be there from the factory. So while none of these things individually were deal breakers, added all together it just felt like a poorly executed jack of all trades master of none sports coupe. I bought mine brand new when the first bk2s hit the lots in 2012 and I sold it in 2017. While it was a good looking (I know that's subjective), fun, and (after FBO, turbo upgrade, and a tune) relatively quick little car, I have never missed it. The only time I have ever even considered buying another one was when i came across an LS3/TR6060 (swapped from a wrecked 2011 Camaro) BK2. There are just too many other cars in the same relative price range these days that are faster, handle better, have far more aftermarket support, and have far fewer compromises built in.
Genesis gang really appreciates this content Alex. Thank you for highlighting this platform. Really wish hyundai would resurrect it under the hyundai brand still.
My 2.0 R-Spec is such a perfect balance. Mine was my daily while working at Lamborghini and Bentley and I always got asked about it and what it was. It fit in no matter where I went and was a great conversation with 100k miles and no issues.
I own a 2012 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Rspec and I love it. It's my only car, I drive it every day, and haven't once regretted it. I'm even revamping proper easy to use brackets for headlight modifications because by the time I got my car, they didn't exist for the first generation anymore. I even finally fixed a few deferred maintenance items so now in my eyes it is nearly a perfect car as far as how Hyundai designed it to be.
Coming from a Gen2 2.0T owner, I absolutely love the cars man. The car definitely has its respective pros and cons but overall it is, or atleast it was until this new market showed up, very well built machine for what you paid. Coming up on seven years I've had the hunk, about 115,000 miles, and she still rips and handles like day one. I've never had any serious issues with the car either, besides the a.c blower motor starting to act up recently even though that's hardly serious?? Video is dead accurate on both the facts and the appreciation, though it is nice to see a little more people starting to talk about them.
Thank you so much for featuring me I really appreciate it!!! The Tiburon community has been waiting a long long time for some love!!😂😂 please please do a “so you want a Hyundai Tiburon” vid🙏
You and thousands of others since the Genesis brand took flight. They're bought up as fast as they're posted with the recent surge in buyers with financing capability, along with the fact that for what they are, they're fucking steals.
I love my 3.8 and it always puts a smile on my face seeing another local gen on the road. Great entry level enthusiast cars if you can get your hands on one.
That was the original plan, maybe if they made it to gen3, worked out the transmissions better and put that v8 in it would've been a bonafide korean muscle car
Very decent performance for the 2016 3.8 ... Lucky to buy the last production car and have zero issues since then ❤ ... happy to see it stands out and becoming rare
I've had my 2013 2.oT since 2014 and have not had ONE issue with it with the exception of my Cat Conv. going bad (mine was a flood salvage I got for 11k with TT&L so I could see how a cat might go bad if it sat in water for a while lol) It had 26k miles when I bought it and we are at 120k now. It's been an absolute freaking blast. I absolutely LOVE that you don't see it around that much and LOVE that anyone who has one knows when you've modified yours. I tell everyone that if for ANY reason, Venom (my Genesis) didn't make it, I'd buy the exact same car. It's not even a question. It' s just such a dope vehicle.
The ONLY things I dislike about the Genesis is: 1. mine kind of creaks and groans. Idk if that's a mine specifically thing, but the chassis feels like it's tired lol 2. The aftermarket community is not huge 3. The Traction Control is massively invasive. Gotta turn that off
The Genny was the car I fell in love with and dreamed about getting when I was 16 years. Graduated high school and was able to score a 73k mile 2011 2.0T for 13k sticker price but a very sad 14% apr rate for 6 years. 5 years later, the car is paid off and sitting at 110k miles with a few mods and I have loved every single thing about it and can forgive the defects she has. Haven't had any issues besides the transmission feeling like it's slipping a lil but we all know them auto trannys suck! Will forever love my first car!!
I have 2012 5sp Auto, and I had auto transmission problems in the past. It just turned out to be low on ATF because of a leak from a cooler line. An AAMCO fixed it all up for only $110. The trans has been doing perfect since then for almost a year now. DO NOT take your Genesis Coupe to a dealer to service at all. The dealer I went to charged me $150 to tell me I needed a new transmission, which was complete bullshit. They were definitely trying to get me to trade in my car to sell. It was really fucking fishy.
@@colincrippin375 I changed my ATF not too long ago and saw it was pretty dirty and smelled a little burnt. Not a good sign but a week later I was changing my coolant and realized my trans cooler lines were busted, bent lines causing it to leak! I changed it and since then my ATF has remained pretty clean, checked after maybe a week or 2. Hopefully that was my issue!
I remember seeing my first Genesis in a parking lot of a private airport. Had the wing badge and for the longest time i kept thinking that cool looking sports car had to be like an Aston Martin or maybe Genesis was its own luxury car brand. I was blown away to find out it was a Hyundai because it truly does look like a luxury sports car. Now i finally bought one, a 2012 2.0t bone stock from the first owner with 97k miles. It turns heads alot and you can probably guess what my first mod is going to be 😅 I feel like the fact that people don't talk about these cars much only adds to that mystery and curiosity like how i felt when i first saw one. Kinda feels like you're part of an exclusive club of rare car owners ngl. This car is definitely getting the royal treatment from me. Only the best oils and parts for this one (:
I felt the same way when I saw the first one at my local scrap yard with a blown engine. I had never even changed engine oil before but it looked so amazing to me that I bought it and another donner car that had all the parts to fix it. I watched a lot of RUclips videos, borrowed tools from friends (they thought I went insane but I just had a dream) and 105 hours later, drove it off the lot. ❤
I personally own a BK1 2.0t although it's slow it never fails to put a smile on my face whenever I drive it. Also, it gets lots of compliments since there isn't many Genny's in my area.
I loved my BK1 GT 3.8 so much, I ended up buying a BK2 3.8 Rspec. These cars are amazing for the price. its different too. I'm tired of seeing the wrx, miata, mustang, brz, challengers as the go-to build car. I almost feel the need to buy another one just to use as parts for when my current one needs stuff
i just recently bought a 2014 genny 2.0t and i’m absolutely in love with it. Yeah, it may not be the fastest car but it’s an absolute beauty and it drives so nicely
I love the Hyundai Genesis Coupe!!! It's a beautiful and aggressive car. Ok, I admit, I Love Hyundai Period!!! I got one and would buy them ALL, from cars to SUV's, if I could. The platform is evolving, but yes, it has its quirks just like any other platform! I have a '15 Sonata, and it is the BOMB! IT rides like a Cadillac and looks like a Lexus. I've dropped it, bought wheels from y'all, and done some other things(mods) to make it my 2nd wife, if that makes any sense!🤪
I absolutely love that when I picked up my bk2 3.8 you guys had made a few videos on it and still are. Aftermarket is still a little weak on the 2013+ 3.8's but even in stock form the car has been a riot for the past 10 months.
I had my 2011 2.0T for 2 years and ended up parting out to get my 2018 Kia Stinger 3.3T and as much as I love the stinger I will always love the genesis, it really is a great car that people bash on for no reason. So much aftermarket support with plenty of power mods available.
I owned a Honda Ridgeline and a Genesis Coupe. Best two vehicles I ever owned. I knew both of them inside and out. I’m sure some people that didn’t like them at first went out and bought one or the other after talking to me. I guess I ended up being more convincing than I thought 😂
@@rebelliousgoat1557 not even all that necessarily true in todays market depending on the trim and condition you have, you can fetch almost 20k for your genny
I was surprised that people call the 2.0T motor weak at the time. Thought all turbo motor was powerful. And critics said the interior was designed by Mattel. I wanted that car because of the Brembo brake calipers.
The bk1 2.0 can make nearly 300whp with just intake, down pipe and 550cc injectors. It’s actually fairly solid. I had ended up big turboing mine which was fun. There’s some decent market for aftermarket parts for them.
@@BabaYagaRacing yeah the Bk2 is superior. Has stronger connecting rods, slightly different turbo and better tune from factory. Personally I’m biased towards the bk1 because I like the front end more
@@richardledesma1675 no the bk1 definitely can make 300whp on stock turbo with all bolt ons with e-85. Although if you want to do that the easier way people just get a stuffed turbo or big turbo
Ive had my 2014 genesis coupe ultimate for 5+ years, put 50k miles on it. Never had a check engine light or an issue. Never did anything other than oil and brakes. Even after 5 years the car is plenty fast and still beautiful. I have zero plans on selling or trading the car as long as I live. If you're thinking of getting a Genesis Coupe get the top tier trim.
I personally would love to see this car come back always thought it was a beautiful looking car especially for the PRICE. Speaking of price at the end you mentioned how cars are expensive lately and I would love to see a video over that. Also your videos are always on point but DAMN was this one funny 😂. Great job Alex and the editing team! 😁
Here in germany the i30N or how you call it, the veloster N is seen as a better alternative to the Golf GTI´s und the modern Hyundais and Kias are appreciated
The Veloster N (the 3 door version of the i30N) fixed a lot of problems the Genny had. Almost instantaneous brake fade, terrible clutch, the worst DMF of any car, poor dampers. I had a Genny for less than a year, it was totalled in a crash, but I have a VN now and it's a terrific car.
My brother got a 2013 2.0T back in 2014 for a great deal. Once he got a WRX in 2017 they gave it to me because I just got my license. I've loved it ever sense.
Nothing happened to it. It's staying on the low in the car market which is a great thing, fast against all its competitors, and I've got a turbo kit and custom tune setup here in vegas for my 13' 3.8 Grand touring. It's got leather power seats, double din stereo with carplay, sunroof, great sound, great drive, got some 295's in the rear and ESR wheels - This car is amazing and sure there's "little aftermarket support" but the fact that its not as popular as something like a Z or G37s makes it so much more desireable for me. And now im gonna be putting down 450-500whp safely after i install this kit to destroy a few scatpacks and 5.0's when theyre not expecting it. Love this damn car.
I love my Genesis Coupe. I wanted to eventually trade for a '16 ultimate, but with the market being ran dry, I have decided to stick with my '13 RSpec. I've had no issues, it is easy to maintain and very easy to work on and upgrade. Plus, the aftermarket support is more than enough to keep me happy! Shout out to all my fellow Genesis Lovers!
I remember first seeing this car on the freeway back in 2016 and thinking "damn that's a sexy car." Then quickly catching up to it to see exactly what it was, and being completely mind blown when I realized that it was a Hyundai. Because back then if anyone remembers Hyundai caught alot of shit for being cheap hunks of junk. But I didn't care I knew then like I know now that I wanted one, and can proudly say I am an owner of a 2010 2.0t R-spec and I LOVE IT.
I love my 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track, never had any issues with it, I’ve had so many people ask me what kind of car it is and that it looks amazing! You rarely see them on the road now a days, so it feels good to drive something you don’t see as much unlike a 350/370z or domestics like camaros and mustangs and chargers, plus the bang for your buck you get with a Genesis is really good! Genesis coupe 3.8 has more hp than a 370z for less money, but the 370z is more “popular” I think the Genesis looks better than a Nissan lol 😂
Im thinking of getting one. Trying to decide between FRS and the Genny Coupe. Basically thinking about saving 2k and getting the Genny with 90k miles on it. The FRS’ seem to be beaten up…
@@Lmaoeatrr either way man you won’t be disappointed, I’ve have my 3.8 track for two almost 3 years and I’ve only had one mechanical issue on it when I first bought the car and that was a pinched break line which caused my rotor to get warped by the pads other than that I’ve never had an issue and I’m at 108k miles lol, I drive it hard too I don’t baby it, well now I do since I’m trying to keep the miles down before I trade it in lol. I’ve test driven a few frs/gt86 and they’re amazing cars man and they sound good with UEL headers!
I remember this car as an underrated gem. From where I live, you rarely see this car on the road even though Hyundai officially sold the car. The price to performance ratio was decent.
I have 2016 3.8 mt and man is it fun to drive. That v6 has an amazing note to it with a good set of pipes. The only bad thing I've experienced in the few years of owning it is that there is t much aftermarket support as like the g37 or 370z. But all around good car
Got my 15 Ultimate M/T in May, just paid it off. Planning to do D'toz supercharger kit. Love this car and plan on keeping it forever. Only advise when buying is to check for 2nd gear lockout.
2nd gear lockout is fixed with Megan’s trans mount, ATQ shifter kit with bushings and engine leash from 3.8 performance. I have no problem downshifting to 2nd gear at high rpms
Sitting in my gen coupe watching this video lol. The BK1 is not weak with a tune and fbo the car moves nicely that's the setup I'm running. I get great mpg, it's reliable and it's my daily.

From experience I’ve owned a g35, driven a g37 and I currently own a genesis and it’s one of the most fun cars I’ve owned and it’s cheaper and easier to work on than the g37 and I always have people asking me “what car is that” and complimenting my car.
The reason I’m looking into getting a 2.0
Bought my 2012 3.8 R-Spec brand new a decade ago.
What was the issue with the clutch?
@@hassaanawan9606 I honestly don't remember. I just know when I pressed it down, I had to put my foot under it and lift it back up manually. Getting out of 1st was a b!tch, but it wasn't too bad once I got going.

Iv been waiting for this video for over a year now
I was expecting a lot of flack and toxicity in this video.
I like the older front bumper look more than the newer one. They seem cool though.

I’ve never confused the Genesis coupe for a G37. Both beautiful vehicles, but can’t confuse them.
Right?!? The people who confuse the two probably think celicas are supras 😂

Or an insane deal on a very low mileage bk2 3.8 :p
they make a pretty good entry-level stepping stone, but envisioning a genesis coupe as your vehicular endgoal is laughable.

Yea I feel that. After having my bk1 track edition for 5 years, I am ready to move on to something nicer. A Lexus RCF is at the top of my list.
This video really hit the mark on the rattling and water sealing issues but all and all I love my genesis, best car I ever had 💙

Hope you reply but how's your over all maintenance, I've hear there turbos go out frequently?? , I'm trying to decide between a g37 or a genesis coupe

Coming from a Gen2 2.0T owner, I absolutely love the cars man. Coming up on seven years I've had the hunk, about 115,000 miles, and she still rips and handles like day one. I tell everyone that if for ANY reason, Venom (my Genesis) didn't make it, I'd buy the exact same car. It's not even a question. It' s just such a dope vehicle.
The ONLY things I dislike about the Genesis is:
1. mine kind of creaks and groans. Idk if that's a mine specifically thing, but the chassis feels like it's tired lol
2. The aftermarket community is not huge
Since Genesis Coupes are rare and sell fast and well, dealers seem to be doing anything to get their hands on them.
It turns heads alot and you can probably guess what my first mod is going to be 😅

Speaking of price at the end you mentioned how cars are expensive lately and I would love to see a video over that. Also your videos are always on point but DAMN was this one funny 😂. Great job Alex and the editing team! 😁
I have a 3.8 2013 and I love it. Had it for 3 years and has no issues with.
Me and my fiancé love our genesis coupes💯❤️🔥
Just picked up my first genesis coupe a month ago BK1 2011 2.0T I love it so far!!! First manual car.
Here in germany the i30N or how you call it, the veloster N is seen as a better alternative to the Golf GTI´s und the modern Hyundais and Kias are appreciated
Wish we got the i30n here, but we are getting the elantra I just think the i30 is prettier
@@onuohafamily i seriously want to grab a elantra hatchback, kona AWD system, and a Veloster N engine and create the ultimate hyundai
I got my 2013 BK2 in March. I’ve never loved a car as much as I love this car
I wanted a genesis coupe but ended up with a g35. Both are amazing cars!
Same I ended up with a 37
My brother got a 2013 2.0T back in 2014 for a great deal. Once he got a WRX in 2017 they gave it to me because I just got my license. I've loved it ever sense.
Y'all drop this as I'm 2 months deep into trying to pick one of these up, sussy
MY 2013 r-spec has been with me since 2015 and only preventive work has been done to it. still very happy with the car today.
Thank you for runescape references guys. I feel a little bit less ashamed about mining rocks for 6 hours straight.
i love my 3.8, an absolutely underrated car! 4 years strong 💪🏽
Is it hard to get replacement parts ? I’m really interested in getting one.
That sounds awesome!
I bet you still love it too! 👍😇
On this episode of “Is Alex Okay?”, we talk about Parental Truamaaa!!!
I have 2016 3.8 mt and man is it fun to drive. That v6 has an amazing note to it with a good set of pipes. The only bad thing I've experienced in the few years of owning it is that there is t much aftermarket support as like the g37 or 370z. But all around good car
I've seen quite a few of them here in Alberta Canada, dudes love driving them tuned, or stock.
💪
