    I wonder if people forgot that we are, and have been, in a recession for a while now. With Covid and everything, I think people adjusted as if it was a new normal. But it’s not. Or it shouldn’t be. We as consumers have such a lower buying power today compared to just 10-20 years ago. I appreciate that RUclipsrs are trying to be less consumption driven and more mindful about the products they use and show. That said, I’m so happy that we can use people like Lindsay as a resource to help us get not just the best bang for our bucks but the RIGHT bang. She and people like her are our advocates and shepherds on the creative road.
    Thank you.

    • @KialayaKreations
      @KialayaKreations 3 месяца назад +1

      @@phillipstroll7385 Because the CHA, later Creativation was where all the big innovation and future products for the year were presented and of course those products were going to be sold later to individuals at the stores. So every year, I would connect to crafters and artists that went there and would video themselves there and they would inform the rest of us who cannot go (I live in Spain, it was too far and costly for me). You then knew which things to look forward to for the rest of the year. Also there were usually great demos being held, Its how I first knew of Tim Holtz for example, because of his demos that were recorded and then posted on social media. SO yeah, of course we care about that event and what they do there. It was (still is I believe) the biggest event of the scrapbooking/journal/crafter world. At least for me it was 🙂 I would literally tell friends to not bother me that weekend at certain hours since I was watching all the LIVES from there 😀 Does anybody remember that marvellous year where so many people were using periscope? It was as if we were literally there.

Yours feel like you’re sharing products that you are interested in, and I trust your opinion. I’ve unsubscribed and asked RUclips to not recommend channels to me because of some channels’ haul videos. Some just seem like mindless purchases for the sake of having a haul video or free products that then feels more like an advertisement for a company or a product, and that is not my style. I’m a newish subscriber to Becca’s channel, but I haven’t seen anything from her that feels like that either.

    Lindsey, I did get Stabilo woody, it seems like the stars on wooden barrels are lightfast rating. I do have Neocolor 2 but I loove the thick barrels of woody and the color selection of the basic set is rather lovely. I just ordered 5 pastel shades with sharpener, because the speed I am using the woodys I will soon need a sharpener. When I saw them in Muller, I had to try them. 😂😂😂😂 Again I blame Lindsey for enabling me. or better to say, this time I did make my hubby buy me the supplies 😂😂😂😂

      Is there a product you recommend in the store brands? I've found the store brands hit or miss. Some decent and others low quality or identical to what's on amaxon for 1/3 the price. Store brand brushes are often good tho because they are made by good brush companies. I've liked michaels brand cardstock and paper but I haven't tried many paints because I've been burned by store brand paint before. Let us know what's good please:)

    You need to buy a epson ecotank or cannot, they are 250 to 300 dollars, but when I looked at ink cartridge refills today it was like 30 dollars for 1 black cartridge and 37 for the color, if you have a 60 to 100 dollar printer you have literally bought the expensive printer with one ink refill. Just a suggestion. I've been window shopping for like a year trying to decide what the best option is, I believe that is the best way to go.

    The Prismacolor brand has sadly been getting more and more cheapened for years now. It's unfortunate...but when a large corporate biz, like Newell, who has owned Prismacolor and a number of other well known brands for years, the corporate grab & squeeze for profit wins over about everything else, even if it's a legacy product, which Prismacolor definitely is. I think Newell must be leading the brand to appeal more to hobbyist and impulse buyers and out the fine arts market? If they ever do the "sets only" thing to their color pencils, (which would be stupid) that'll be the end for Prismacolor color pencils as a preferred brand by many millions of customers. I hope they don't ever go THAT far. Fingers crossed 🤞
