- In this video I am illustrating car remote control unit and its wiring details. I am explaining wiring errors corresponding to schematic diagram and the function of the system to make it easy to understand and install. Hope this video will help people who are thinking to automate their vehicles using remote door locks.

My car's unlocking was not working, After watching your video I removed extra relay module and directly connected 2 white wires to actuator It worked. video is very help full.

Brilliant! I'd scoured the net and youtube to help me wire up a system where none of the colours matched. Doing it your way got it working. I had a 5 wire master actuator and now it works only using 3 wires. I assume this is okay? Thanks again.

Looks like a nice simple unit :-), i didnt fully catch the wire connections to the actuators but i dont need to, i can see the logic.
it looks like the relay contacts are open for any configuration com/n.o/n.c, single pole and double throw :-)
I like relays, an old technology but still very usefull, great for taking the load off switches used for spotlamps/fans/extra's, 50-100 Milliamps to turn a 30 Amp relay on, handy :-D

+zx8401ztv Thanks friend for nice comment. The actuator wires are both relay commons. All the time at rest they both get either 12V+ or 0V-. So nothing is happening. When a command is issued (Open or close) there would come change on one of the wire. By that way the motor is actuated in one direction. On the other command, the next wire is changing its polarity; Hence the motor actuates on the other direction. Hope you understood the logic.

+LearningZone Yes i do understand, in one of my jobs i had to repair bus door (opening/closing) units, two large single pole double throw relays did the same thing, plus some logic and end sensor pickups made sure the doors never went too far :-)
2 x positive = stop, 2 x negative = stop, the remaining combinations gave forwards and backwards.
i folowed all wire one by one as per your vedio and now my door lock is tottaly working and i tottaly remove that relay.before if that relay conected one of the door lock not open and close.big thanks my friend god bless
my friend i just only want to know if the other unit like the control relay that show you in the vedio..if i will remove that theres no any problem?couse as of now my car have a problem if that relay installed the door lock is not working in then if i will remove that relay the door is totally working...thanks

Very useful tutorial - thank you. I think there is no need to connect (Orange) and (Orange Black) wires (11:39) to the negative terminal. Those 2 wires can just be cut off and the system will still work. Kindly confirm if I am right. Thank you again.

One question, i have the same unit but ny car (honda crv 2004) already has center locking actuators but no remote unit.
How would i install the wiring the existing key control unit?
You can connect this unit easily with your existing interlocking system. You should connect these relays wires to the interlocking locking and unlocking switches. I don't have facility now a days, otherwise I would have to upload the video. Anyhow I have another video explaining this system. So I will upload that video in a few days. Stay tuned.
And how to adjust remote lock and unlock time of the control unit??
I can't find any jumper or alike to adjust the lock timing in the control unit. I want to either lock or unlock almost instantaneously when lock or unlock key is pressed. The factory time is a bit late around .5 seconds.
How to fasten it by .2 or .3 second??

Hey Jahan and hope you and your family have been doing well. Confusing on those schematics is a good word for sure. And I would have done the same thing as you in wiring the unit up first to understand it. I'm a little confused. Does the Toyota that you're going to install this in not have power door locks? It's just over here that even the cheap cars have power locks. Take care my friend and don't let the negative comments get you down. We all get them...Looking forward to your installation.
+stuzman52 Thanks dear sir for kind words. Yes in the Toyota Corolla 2001 I am installing this remote unit had no automatic locking from company. Instead I noticed that someone attempted to install after market remote before me as I am installing now. But that was not working due to many reasons like lost remote controls and old components. Next videos are coming up showing all those details. I noticed even in new models of Toyota shipped here have no central locking and people are attempting to install aftermarket ones. For sure such a job is not new for you but is a source of entertainment! Negative comments one is receiving every day from negative people. I noticed people making negative comments have nothing in there heads! Such nice friends like you and others, I am not taking any care of negative comments. Best regards, Jahanzeb.
+LearningZone I learn something all the time Jahan. As I mentioned in the previous post, I just assume that central locking would be a standard even on the cheapest cars over here. But in Saudi Arabia, it seems this isn't the case. In any event, now that you're on the job, I'm sure that the owner of the car will be happy with the 'new' installation that you'll provide. 2. Are vehicle codes and information gets stored to the transponder chip?? It's very confusing. If so, is it erasable once data are stored on the chip???
3. If I want to add the 3rd key which has new empty immobilizer chip, how to transfer data and stored on the chip without using programming tools particular to Hyundai i20 2011?? Any options like key insert 3 times, etc!!???

Can the driver side lock (five wires) still be use as master lock and the rest are slave on this connection?
What i mean is, if manually I open the driver side lock (five wires) does the rest open/close?

I have a 2002 honda civic and it has remote central locking/unlocking. however it doesn't double indicate when locking/unlocking. is there a simple fix that would allow my indicators to blink when i use the remote to lock/unlock? thanks!

Thank you for your excellent videos The native wiring unit is what I currently have installed. The wiring unit that you are explaining it looks like you are only using the green and the blue only? Does the Brown and the white wires get used on part 3 video you did plug them in is that for insulation only?

I have a 2008 Honda City Zx Gxi. About 3 years back, my remote locking stopped working. It was diagnosed to be Receiver - Keyless entry (38385-S5A-U01) and I replaced it. All was working fine till about a month ago.
Now the remote locking has again stopped working. I have changed the battery in my key, tried the other key, etc. nothing seems work. I am able to program the keys, at the 4th turn key, press lock, sequence, the central locking sound is heard, but after stopping programming mode, keys stop working. I even removed the receiver unit but am not sure how to test it.
The service center guys told me to go for autocop or other aftermarket remote, but I want to maintain stock. The other option is to order the part assuming it be conked for Rs. 4000/-. I feel that since I am able to program, there is nothing wrong with the receiver unit.
Any experience or help will be much appreciated.
That's great if you made such research. I suggest you to make a little more testing and troubleshooting before attempting to replace any part. sometimes it is very small like a blown fuse or a bad electrical connection. Regards and wish you good luck with your repair.
Car is locking on pressing the lock button but it is not unlocking the door neither trunk is getting opened. No Tick tick sound from the unit on unlocking the Doors but on locking the door it is perfectly going on. First day it was doing well everything was perfect but after whole night standing. The issue cames out. Please tell me the solution. The Central is buyed from Bang Good. Universal Central Lock System.
Seems problem with your center locking or defect with main unit. It needs proper testing to diagnose.

I have a question about my car's remote control and need your help.
Sometimes it takes many presses to open up or close the door locks i replaced the battery with new ones and different types and cleaned up the remote chip with electronics cleaner with no luck , I think it is the receiver unit what causes this problem.
what is your opinion, what should I do to fix it?

+toolman talal I think it could be a press pad problem on the remote control control unit or even could be a receiver also. You can open the unit and try to get signal inside on voltmeter or scope while pressing on remote control. By this way you will notice either remote is sending signal or not. Sometimes a very small component on the receiver end creates such problem. One time I replaced a small diode bad on a radio which was not picking signal from its antenna hence no audio. You may check it with patience. Regards,

That is great. Your unit is a bit more complex than the one here in this video. It needs more signals to operate. Especially it needs the 12V from the ignition switch. 12V should be given from the wire when the the key is on and the engine is running. That is your ignition key 12V. Also you should connect all the doors switches to this unit. I mean when you will complete all the wiring and your car will be started, everything will behave normal. This is normal operation what it is doing. This was there in one on my cars but unfortunately I didn't have schematic diagram for that as well as I didn't film it. Hope you may understand it. right now i have got a normal key operated central locking system in my vehicle
so wen i turn the key all 4 doors unlock
but when i'll install this new key less kit, in the event i use my key to unlock the driver side door the rest 3 doors won't unlock!!??
so if i want to continue to have the first option what can i do??
For that you should control the car existing center locking system through this after market keyless control. For details refer to your service manual and the given schematic diagram. By that way it will do like the original factory controlled system. In my case there was no center locking in the car that is why I did in the way I have shown in the video. No. Battery stays for days without starting as long as you have a good battery.
LearningZone my battery is new and has 45ah 12.6 charge. I installed remote lock unit as well as remote auto close window in my i20. I also tested parasitic current draw which gives 25 mAmps. However, my car is not starting even just after 3 days of not using the car!! Please help.
Check if this locking unlocking modules draws such huge current then this is defective. Replace electrolytic capacitors inside the module.

+Dv Danger Scan the truck first using a scanner. Check for any code if it is there. Then check for any leaking fuel injector. Any fuel injector must not squirt fuel without its electrical pulse. Then other thing if this is a spider type air intake engine, check for leaking spiders. Also you may check fuel regulator at fuel rail in engine compartment for leaking fuel on vacuum line. Seems there is some uncontrolled fuel is fed to the engine. Check everything with patience. Hope you will find something leaking fuel to the engine. Wish you good luck with your repairs.

+Dv Danger Yes this is the down side of the modification. Also people are not giving enough time to trouble shoot their cars. So trouble shooting is not always possible in short time.

The kit comes for some what $20 to $50 for different make and models of kits. Also you will need some extra parts like wires, door actuator motors etc. They will cost you further a few $.
