I noticed that after you had linked that library setting to your layer, then switched to the other laser/lens, that it automatically reflected the changes without the need to manually assign it again. It's really cool how it will look for the same-named setting in the library and automatically adjust to it if the layer is linked. You can tweak your parameters, open old projects, and it will automatically apply to your layers. This software is so well designed and implemented!
how do I convert my existing .EZD extension files to the Lightburn extension format. I have a lot of designs for several returning clients that I need to be able to use and I want to use Lightburn without having to recreate each one of them.
How do you setup a new fiber laser if you have never set up ezcad before. I'm brand new to fiber lasers. Haven't enven got it yet. Supposed to b here by the end of the month. Very confusing without it here
Most galvo lasers come preconfigured from the factory. Most settings can just be copied out of ezcad or screenshotted before installing the lightburn driver, and then entered once lightburn is installed.
Hi, What should I do if I don't have core file for my 175mm lens? I have co2 galvo laser and producer gave me driver files and there are no any .core files? :/ Only Ezcad2 and Corefile2 app but I don't know how to use it, can you help?where can I get ...core file for my lens?
correction files used to only be generated in ezcad, now lightburn offers native lens corrections you can do right in the app so a corfile is no longer required. if you're in ezcad and you need to generate a corfile you can look in your ezcad folder and open the corfile2.exe file to begin the correction process Ezcad Guide: ruclips.net/video/llflAf0G62Q/видео.html Lightburn Guide: ruclips.net/video/OB5EgXQ1_5Y/видео.html
@@LaserEverything Thank you for your most informative videos. My B4/30 will be delivered 7-2-24 and I have watched ALL of your videos to be ready to hit the ground running. I got my Lb Galvo license and am ready to go, but, IF there was a reason to run the excad corfile2 program, will it run stand-a-lone of does ezcad need to be installed first? I would like to have the option to run corfile2, but, not necessarily if I first have to install the ezcad program. Thanks again.... Hank
Where do you get the CORE files for the difference size lens? The stock lens will be 175mm and I am adding a 300mm. I am assuming you explain that in another video.
I have the same problem, is there any new video how to create correct core file for new lens or where to find it? Somebedy can help? Co2 Galvo 30w laser.

im still pretty new to fiber lasers. i noticed that your work area are larger than the lens size. Is that normal practice. Also, i just bout a 150 lens to replace my 110 lens on my 20watt. i see you imported a ezcad file for the new lens. i dont have any ezcad files for a 150. what should i do?
Hi Charles, When using a corfile, lightburn corrects and adjusts the field size and scale, thats normal. For new lenses you don't have a import for, you can duplicate your original device in LB for setup purposes, and use the earlier episodes of the crash course to help swap to ezcad driver and do a corfile to fix any skew/distortion to attach to your new lens/device in LB. Gratz on the new lens!
Hi! I've set up a new lens by clicking duplicate. I recently purchased another lens and wanted to add it to the devices - however JCZ seems to have disappeared from the device list? Have you seen this before??
HELP please! I have a ComMarker B4 30watt. I'm wanting to get a 150mm x 150mm lens for it but I can't find anything telling me what brands etc fit my Fiber laser. I have a 110 x 110 and a 200 x 200 and want one in the middle. Would you happen to know if Monoport lenses fit the ComMarker B4? If I can find one, I'll be back to watch your video again.
The ComMarker B4 uses smaller lenses than standard. It's not a brand thing, so Monport branded lenses isn't the issue, its the physical size of the lens. There are replacement lenses out there, but you may have to buy them from ComMarker, or from someone like Wavetopsign on aliexpress. Monport and many other companies only carry the standard diameter/threaded lenses. You'll need to measure and confirm, but I suspect it could be an M55 instead of an M85.
I am trying to get my parameters on a MacBook but it is not working. Ive copied the correct file from my old windows computer but every time I try to load it into light burn I can't select it because it is greyed out.
I used the parameters converter program to convert a 200mm lens to 300mm lens but the settings look exactly the same, when I click on the convert one the settings look different, what am I doing wrong
Everything went perfect setting up my monport gp20 fiber laser with a new lense, except I never used ezcad so I don't have a cor file. Is that necessary or will I be alright?
LightBurn will hopefully soon support native lens corrections via software. Right now they only support manual lens corrections, which you should really do for each lens. LightBurn has a video on their channel about the currently supported lens correction method but be warned it is super tedious and time consuming 😬
You lost me at 4:20, I’m trying to add a 300mm lens but when I try to load new Cor file I get nothing and I’m stuck… I tried looking through all my files but can’t seem to get pass that point for my 50w fiber laser… I also tried to calibrate the lens using your link for the updated video but my laser wouldn’t make the burn calibration, was lil frustrating last night…
If the lens is brand new and didn't ship with the laser, you wont have an accurate corfile for the lens. It's basically a fingerprint, there wont be another one that matches it identically and you would need that lens and your machine together in one place to tune for it. If it was included with the laser and you have a corfile with it, but it wasn't taking effect, that may require a lightburn and machine restart after its imported into lightburn. If that didn't do the trick and you opt to do the calibration with the lightburn tool (likely going to be the best bet), you may need to change your output size (when setting up the calibration, keep the lens size accurate, but change the output size) until it frames out properly. The software doesn't know what scale % is correct for the lens (it will be different for every lens), so it may just be blowing it out on size and you need to shrink the output first to get it atleast outputting, you can rescale it later. The new video we just put out will be the best method with that tip to help get you going.
@@LaserEverything ThankQ for the explanation. Took me a little while to location all of the files but after finding them and following this video a week later i finally figured it all out, I got it to work after a restart.

Yeah it's pretty damn clever like that. Little new things always surprising me.
Great video! I literally just asked Tyler West about this yesterday when he visited my shop. Fantastic series as always!
Awesome! Thank you!
I cannot find any cor files in ezcad other than the 110 I am already using

Yes at masters.lasereverything.net/

Sounds like your free trial for Lightburn for Galvo has come to an end. You'll have to purchase the license to restore that functionality!
