I've read that fiber lasers aren't good for plastics, but have seen gun grip patterns being lasered. What materials outside of metals can a fiber laser cut or engrave?
Mainly metals. Some plastic works great, some doesn’t. Depends if it has glass in it and what your trying to do to it. Glass filled plastic doesn’t laser very well. I have done plastics, metals, and graphite
@@JS-Tactical-Designs Thanks. I'm looking to get a fiber laser and a Co2 laser. But it good to know that I can get a bit more than l expected from the fiber.

Glad it helped!
Great information!! Your upcoming videos and training will be my goto. Will the training course be here or through another source?
Training will be available through teachable.
Great video!! I have a 30W fiber laser, where do you get the lenses for it?
FocusLaser in Aliexpress, high quality lenses
Good information. Thanks
Thanks for the information, this is in accordance with what I discussed with some friends.
Hi, great video. Where do you get your replacement lens protection windows from?
Could not get any real depth out of the 300x300 that came with my 50w raycus. Got a 150x150 lens on the way, hope it gives the depth I need.
That will help a lot.
Should have put labels in front of those lenses.
With specs
Good idea!
How do we figure out how much working area a lens can give us? Like a 300x300 lens will give us 10" or a 150x150 will give us 3" work area?
Great video looking forward to the next
thanks!
For engraving of 18”x18” field how much laser power and which size of lense will be required guide me please
The biggest marking field for a galvo fiber laser is 12x12 inches. I would reccomend a 50w

What laser do you have? How does yours perform on polymer80

Check the description.
Nice! do you know the marking field for a 110x110 lense?
4.5 inches about.
Nice nice nice vidio
Thank you!
Why don’t you talk about the other 3 lenses and mm size. It’s kind of confusing to me.
Why are there different sizes not a standard sizes everybody uses a different number
You said, you have a couple of lenses and you have 5 lenses not a couple!
