Thank you, this was really helpful. I think the only thing that would make it better would be a video on how to get the door card off, or if there is one then a link to it.

Thanks just followed all this and successful job all completed but used a dremyl with a little grinding wheel to grind off the plastic rather than a heat gun.

Really helpful channel Eddy. Would be great to have a tutorial on how to remove rear door cards. I have a 159 and the back door won't lock.

You are a true HERO. Can you help me with a question. What kind of glue can I use instead of a heat gun because I dont have enough experience with heat guns.

As much as I love our Giulietta I will admit that the build quality is awful. I haven't had the breaking door releases yet, but I have had other bits falling off or breaking. The dash top compartment, the gearknob, the bit at the back of the rear view mirror falls off, the handbrake button sticks in, it has numerous rattles and creaks, the steering wheel around the buttons has cracked, the seat bases have collapsed. I also had the rear hatch wiring fault and being a Diesel it suffered the EGR cooler cover cracking. I also had to replace the shocks at 50,000 miles as they were worn out. Made by Sachs, but obviously to a price specified by Alfa.

Doesn’t actually show the important parts and the camera operator is not really interested - otherwise interesting

Well you are a very skilled person... well done.... and power to u that you can fix faults on your own car and have the tools to do the jobs I love Alfa Romeo cars.... what I hate is the decline in quality components like door openers that snap after 5 or 6 years and cost £500 per door if you get the part replaced by an Alfa dealer. I hate the poor quality rear looms That go into Mito and Giulietta boot lids so the lights at the rear and the boot catches don’t work. So far have repaired 65 plus looms.....I’m 71 years old and started working on Alfa cars in 1971. In those days if any job needed doing on any year of Alfa it was always worth while doing, engines...gearboxes....NOT NOW... AN ENGINE BLOWS UP ON A 12 plus year old Alfa ..... Brera or A159 or A 147 or A156 or GT the car is scrap. Direct injected engines produced and fitted to all modern cars since 2005 are a liability as the carbon goos the engines up. Still restoring older Alfa’s. AND I LOVE WORKING ON THE OLDER CARS. Times have changed a lot. QUALITY HAS DROPPED ... I love working on the newer Alfa’s .... but what I don’t like is having to tell my customers it’s gonna cost you £120 to replace a door opener on a GT OR A147 and the part is £12... and other little jobs that take time to repair or replace. ......loads of cheapo parts fitted to modern cars should outlast the engine. AND I’m not your buddy.... I have promoted Alfa Romeo FOR over 40 years repairing and selling parts and selling cars .
LONGER THAN ANY AGENT IN THE U.K. .... THE TIMES WE HAVE SERVICED AN ALFA THAT WAS ONLY DEALER SERVICED
AND FOUND THAT THE OIL FILTER HAD NEVER BEEN CHANGED... THE RESON ALFA HAD LOW SALES IN THE U.K. WAS THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNTRUSTWORTHY. EDDY MANN

@@AlfamanGarageServices Myself and the majority of owners watching this video recognise you are very experienced with Alfa's, and the go to man for the job. I wouldn't listen to that headbanger! I've bought a £10 ebay door handle, let's see how it goes. If I was closer I'd just bring the car to you
