Agree, can't stand watching Parish running around, Hobbs should be taking his spot. Parish doesn't run both ways & his disposal at times is embarrassing, misses the easiest kicks so often.

I don't believe we're actively pursuing Reid. However it wouldn't surprise me to learn we were having chats with him. Reports said he built a good bond quickly with the club when he played some VFL with us in juniors. So if Rosa's did meet with him I think it would be more future scoped
Stringer clearly showed what he can do when he has an injury free pre season and starts of the year as fit as he was this year. He kicked the equal 2nd best tally of goals in his career. We all know that this years tally could have been much higher if he could only kick goals from 25 mtrs out directly in front. Sigh He used to be tangled up with other things in his life but this year he was much more settled. I dont know how finding religion helped, but whatever floats your boat if it makes you play better. Im undecided on 2 years but definitely one.
i believe richmond is also potentially interested in Ben Hobbs, i don't know how accurate that is but i have heard that around the AFL Community and as a richmond supporter i wouldn't mind getting him I'm just worried about how much it would cost and if it would be overly worth while

Bombers need to find a decent reliable key forward. Stringer, Gresham, Langers and Co are mid-size to smaller forwards and it's not entirely their fault the fwd line hasn't fired up. A genuine Key forward would create more opportunities for Stringer and co. Essendon needs a genuine key full-forward. Rosas would be useful and probably better than Menzie.
Shiel to Melbourne as part of a Petracca deal. Keep Leverde but on a 1 year deal. 2 years for Stringer. Hobbs can go for draft capital. Keep Tsatas. Trade Wright with Shiel to Melbourne. We have to keep Bryan and Draper. Reid won’t happen. We don’t have the draft capital. Rosas - no. We won’t get Owies or Richards. I’d go after Kako before Ryan. We have to have a go at Perryman. Rachel’s would be nice but unlikely.

Its absolutely underutilising them because most of them were statistically AFL ready for weeks and even months before they were finally brought into the team. Even Lewis Hayes 100% should have been given a debut in the backline anytime in the last two months when the likes of McKay, Laverde, Kelly and Redman were consistently putting up stinker performances. The other reason is we are suppose to rebuilding and in a rebuild phase the priority is to develop your young talent which means giving them as much game time as possible so they can basically build chemistry and begin to click together roughly around the 50 game mark which is 3 years into system. When you enter the Premiership window, you can then afford to be a lot more conservative with how you develop your young talent because at that stage you are a legitimately good team with a balanced list, good amount of star power, good leadership and loads of experience. Quite simply we aren't anywhere that window no matter what the ladder position of the last 2 years says.
None of them deserve extensions. Other than Merrett, who could honestly say they had an AA or even a PB season? Durham was good, Caldwell good…..then nothing. Tell em all to play decent and full season, then we can have a chat.

A solid foundation takes a long time to build which is why I thought the treatment of Heppell was poor, having said that in believe that Brad is the right guy for the job. Our midfield is actually still quite young and we still haven’t used tsatas as well and for Hobbs and tsatas to fit inside our midfield group is impossible. What we get from Hobbs can be used to bid for Kako. We should be looking for the best key back or forward available.

there's a lot of problems at Essendon, as a dogs fan just look and Laugh, nothing sums up Essendon then a Harley Reid trade, a make believe wish list that is never going to happen, this once mighty club as been poorly run over the last 15 years that I doubt they could even get it done, there so busy trying to rib off everyone and get the deal of the century, that from the outside looking in no club wants to deal with them. for years fans and the club and overrated there list and players, and they think they can trade off average players for good players. maybe in the 80s 90s that might have worked but its not the 90s anymore. look at the Dunkley deal that never got done, the club spent time and effort trying to get the to club, then when it came time, they offered up nothing, and nothing happened, yah, Dunkley is no Dangerfield, but he would have help a lot. case in point look at Hepples best teammates, apart from the Hurley the rest are average at best or well past it. i mean maybe Zaarakes on his day maybe..... as a dogs supporter i have wanted beverage gone multiple time, but the one thing i know I can relay on is there recruiting, yah players go, but at least other clubs want them, the only way to fix Essendon is to fix the recruiting, Nail pics 20 to 40, again i am going to look at the dogs, they traded 3 fist round pics last year for pic 5, sanders, he looks good and the debate will be if he is worth it, he not in the side, but i will tell you who is in the side, pic 45 last year. hawthorn are anther club that do this well.
Mate I’m a dons fan, hardcore dons fan and I get laughed at when I say confidently that I don’t think I’ll ever see another flag in my lifetime. I’m 31 this year. I can’t believe I forced my son to back this fkn rabble of a club. I forced my nephew aswell but he got bullied in school because of it so he jumped ship to Melbourne who were the prems that year. Usually I’d be so against them jumping ship because who the fuck does that but you know what ? I don’t blame him. My poor son, he’s gonna be living through the miserable years of the dons coming up for years potentially decades to come. I’ll forever replay 2000 in my head. Was only 6 months old when 93 happened so can’t even claim that one. 😂
