Bit of a two pronged thing the Petracca trade. On one hand, you can see a quality player who holds himself to elite standards and tries to bring up others to his level. Im convinced the culture at Melbourne is pretty toxic with too many misses in the past 2 yrs so can understand wanting to get the hell out of there. Not sure on this branding thing - if im paying a million a yr now Id expect him to be all in. And its AFL, i have travelled a lot and can unequivocally confirm that no one outside of Australia hardly cares. A fraction of a fraction of 1% of the population knows who you are. A good media role is there post retirement probably if he wants it. If his partner is a lawyer I doubt they are slumming it. It seems a bit self centred to me and actually a red flag to his tradeability and to the other 17 clubs. As a neutral, supporting a non-Vic club, will watch with some interest as it plays out.

It effectively forces one of them into the forward line because they can't be in the midfield at the same time and overall he isn't remotely what the Blues need anyway. What they actually need is much better defensive support around Weitering who is constantly carrying that backline.
@taliamason7986 and what's wrong with that, you have both bulls start in the mid at ball ups and then push forward, especially if they lose a key forward. There's lots of ways that you can make it work, especially if you got the footy brains to do so.
Soldo has struggled with injuries for most of the season, only got back to play 3 weeks ago.
Yessssss trade bell is the best segment all year
In other trade news: The Age is reporting John Noble wants to be traded to GC
They played him when he was injured and costed him a spinal injury
Just to beat Collingwood
Melbournes ego. Pay millions and you play with broken ribs
Not sure Christian would fit in at many clubs. If you come across as an individual joining a team how does the team feel about the individual? Having said that Melbourne has a stack of issues and is mainly to blame. Carlton can have him if his style works with the Carlton FC.
West Coast fan here..... I really hope Bolton goes to the Dockers. Let them spend the high picks Richmond will want to get him.
Could we see John Nobel for Ben King to Collingwood?!?
We can dream.
Melbourne might be screwed if other clubs play hardball on Petracca. In the end the Dees might have to take what they can get. Is it a buyers market or a sellers market? Tricky, fascinating and has damaged Christian’s brand I think.
I think the trade bell really spices things up! 🛎️ It's funny how everyone has their own take on players, like fans have their own drama 😄. I just hope they figure it out soon, the suspense is killing me! 🤷♂️
If Petracca is fair dinkum about leaving then he needs to be happy to go anywhere. These footballers from Melbourne city are too soft, and need to get out a bit. How often have you seen a first generation boy from Melbourne move anywhere. If he is determined then he needs to do the right thing by the club and be willing to go anywhere.
Good point. If you’re so miserable, you’d wanna go anywhere that is moderately successful. Him saying “I wanna go to a big club with crowds” says a lot about his agenda
@@imalwaysright He should also consider Syd Brisb Adel and Freo as they'll be around. There is a lot of good stuff outside Melbourne. The weather for starters. But just a comfortable Melb boy.
Petracca to the Saints! They have the money, and need a marquee player!
Make it happen! ⚫️🔴⚪️
Anyone remember when Dustin Martin put himself on the market (North Melbourne) and no-one took him?
honestly i think that contract's should be no more than 2 year's , that way we don't get into a position like this petracca crap, as i understand it atm ...he has 5 year's to go on a million dollar salary and he want's out . i can see both side's of the story but if ur not given rediculous contract's for rediculous amount's of money where u have no idea where you and the club will be in 1 , 2 , 5 year's time u avoid this crap...and a message to all you afl player's ......................
You r just a football player in the afl , the media blow's you up so bad it is embarrasing...EARN UR KEEP AND PROVE URSELF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“You’ve got no fans” - wealdstone raider at Melbourne games
Weird dynamic having a wife with that much control in my opinion.
His wife may be smarter than Christian. Or, he made a mistake in letting her be his manager and now can't get sack her from her position.
Could just be the way Sam presented it and missing context. But it does give you insight about the Trac camp (and the leaks that come from it)
You that insecure that you care?
@@reecemccullough4829 you seem to care about anyone speaking out against Trac or his camp though. How interesting 🧐
@@reecemccullough4829I think it’s more you can’t sack her if he feels she isn’t doing the best for him managerially, very different to what’s best for him emotionally/personally
Jesse hogan a first round pick and petracca can go to gws I don’t really see a deal happening with a Melbourne based team
Tom Lynch to Melbourne who are desperate for key fwd, 2-3 years left, can finish with Gawn. Then Melbourne need to rebuild in 2027.
Literally nothing to report. Petracca may go, rioli may go but may not, blah blah blah
how is st kilda going to get a battle
mention then straight over to barrass wtf
GET HIM PIES
Melbourne should have just said. 1 Hes a contracted player we are working hard to build bridge's. 2 Hes a contracted player however if petracca wants to leave and not be apart of our future we will do our best for him to facilitate a trade. 3 if an adequate trade cannot be facilitated for the Melbourne football club he is a contracted player. Pretty simple.
Tim Membrey - not a starter for North Melbourne. He has had issues and I think it would be a risky move.
Petracca for Mackay 😂
Plus, plus and plus
Only club Petracca can go to...RICHMOND. Get all their good draft picks...he wants to play in front of crowds. They have a decent sized membership base
As a Tigers fan, don’t think that would be a great move. Not even sure he’d get back to his best after that injury.
@user-sw6tt4kb5y yes who knows? Matthew Lloyd seems to think he will. He says he suffered similar injury. I have forgotten
Bombers might take him!
With Petracca he’s gone with the injury he got similar or worse injury to Dusty to he’s Kidney
I can't see how Petracca gets a trade done. The value is just too high for any other club to be involved.
Why would anyone want to go to Adelaide jobs for the boys club
Is Jack Graham any good. Wouldn't they trade the guys out and then keep Jack Graham.
He’s not quick but he’s a tackling machine he gets an average 7-8 tackles a game he kicks 14 goals per season
@@johnfloris6306 I wonder where that leave Jai Culley. He is already in the reserves. But he is 193cm plays midfield and strong in tackling and can play half forward and is slowish. Jack Graham will be good for his experience and age and help fill the gap.
Victorian bias as usual… Bolton is worth a late first round at best. He’s likely to come home and be an even lazier prick then he is now. He’s obviously weak as piss and a downhill skier. Freo should avoid trading any of their picks this year and load up again on young talent. If roles were reversed there’s no way the vics would be saying the same. These journos talk like freo have to deal, I hope they turn and around and say Get effed enjoy your rebuild. Shai didn’t want to come home 4 yr ago when we tried to get him so suck eggs.
We’ll happily draft 3/4 young guns and add them to the bunch we already have. Flagmantle 2025
Hi I’m a tiger 🐅 and he’s definitely lazy he could’ve been a star ⭐️ to a Matera type of player but we will definitely get 2 first picks for him if they want to get in the finals then he may help them
Melbourne hold all of the Cards here, they could really take a few clubs to the Bank.
When a player wants out, the club far from hold the power lol
@@Maxiaktwhen he’s contracted for 7 years they do hold all the power 😂
Not really. They have a big contract, sure, but they also have a want-away player. Remember Brodie Grundy and Jason Horne-Francis.
Nicholas, thanks for posting this... saves me from saying every word you've just said.
Petracca nothing but a big sook ,
Reason why I don’t waht him at Carlton
Melbourne are mot clear what his issues are , They are Melbourne itself, the problem
Cerra could be the guy the gets Trac to carlton. Melbourne wanted him, throw in another player like Martin and next years first rounder. Petracca will be 29 next season, coming back from a life threatening injury. There is alot of risk in picking him up, how many years is he going to give you and at what level?
Giving away too much for him would be a mistake, Melbourne almost have to take whatever they can get.
You have no idea. Melbourne hold all the cards
@@jde2411 how so? they have 2 options, trade him or keep a player who doesn't want to be there.
Melbourne hold 2 cards.
Melbourne are between a rock and a hard place.
@@xpacnwo2000 they don’t have to take whatever they can get. This is on petracca and his management to find a trade to satisfy Melbourne. Melbourne don’t have to do shit.
@@jde2411 They either take what they can get or they keep a disgruntled player who has lost his love for the club.
Again i ask you, how do Melbourne hold all the cards?
Christian will stand out a year to fully recover and then join join the magpies
All Clubs have problems but if you’re a good player you overcome all these issues you just get on with your job;he’s well paid and wont get much more money DON’T Trade him cos if he wants to go let him go but dont let it cost the Club heaps of money
Relationship with Ben Simmons? Hmmmmmm.....that explains alot.
Very unprofessional segment. Place some chapter markers showing what the video subjects are.
It’s Collingwood his chasing , a replacement for pendels , don’t kid ur self Collingwood started the conversation
The word going around is he tried to get to collingwood before he signed that big deal
The Hawks in 2025 with Barrass and Battle will be long odds to lose a single match throughout the season.
Why are you pushing this Peyracca McKay crap !!!!
This is NOT journalism it is scuttlebutt
Soldo back to the tigers
I’m a tiger 🐅 but nah I think Oliver Hayes Brown will be great
These goons have nothing to talk about because of the buy, so they just start making stuff up. Like old woman's club.
Petracca to Brisbane ;) lol
Not surprised about Soldo wanting out of the SANFL. Went from the biggest club in the land to a feral mob who play in front of teal tarps and having to see that bald Koch head almost daily. Huge downgrade.
I’m a tigers fan and didn’t understand either. Left to be a number one ruckman at a club who already have established ruckman. Should’ve just stayed at Richmond, he would’ve been our new number one ruck heading into 2025 with Nank being on managed time as his career comes to and end.
Soldo has been injured. He hasn't been playing in the SANFL.
Also, in what reality is Richmond the "biggest club in the land"?
And why would Soldo want to stay at a basket case that will be bottom four for the next 5 years.
@@_..Justin-Case.._Port didn't have an established ruckman when they recruited Soldo and Sweet.
It's why they recruited him in the first place.
And by the way, Soldo has been our starting Ruckman when he isn't injured.
Can’t understand why he wanted out of Richmond? Watching them play this year I don’t think it’s hard to understand plus Port were always moving on their ruckman and Ivan has been injured most of the year so he has t been dropped at all but like most players he has to work his way back into the team
Two 1sts for Rioli is M-A-D... MAD. Average player at best.
To many take it to the bank deals ..luck to get milkbar 😅😅😅😅
Petracca has an image of Mr nice guy, mammas boy….. he ain’t…. Petracca wants Lygon street badly. Just come out and say you don’t want to be there and take the flack you deserve. Then move on
Petracca is a sooky baby
So over Trac. See through him. Narcissistic, high maintenance, ego. Be a man and come out and say directly what's wrong, rather than through drip-fed leaks and conflicting messages. Traumatized from injury but how are the influencer vids going? Unhappy with "crowds" but he signed a fat 7 year million $ contract. He's not the first player with a savage injury. Melbourne may have serious issues, but his image is way too protected and unscathed in all this mess.
Wow. Dude nearly dies and that's the attitude? He needs to get away from this type of toxic Demons culture. Disgusting.
Jeeeez. Talk about a dramatic take. It's just footy.
@@reecemccullough4829 Dramatic like wanting to break a 7 year contract and leaking stories about wanting out and being traded to a "big VIC club with crowds"?
HAHA WAHWAH
Salty Melbourne fan
His "Brand" is overseen by his partner, Bella.....😂 What could go wrong? 🤦♂
Honestly wouldn't give up one top ten pick for this bloke. Sure the injury WAS bad, but this guy's narcissism seems equally as bad.
I mean nobody gives one 💩 about him the day after he stops playing footy. He's a nobody. The Melbourne bubble inflating another couple's ego beyond all perspective.
BOLTON AVERAGE, BAKER AVERAGE , RIOLI ABOVE AVERAGE.
😂
Just incorrect.
talk about hyperbole.. is Edmund a full time marketing operative.. DJ Trump is less FOS.. drama queen
Lynch to go from Tiges if they can get anything for him so he can continue his semi retirement at another club. Dees have had a toxic culture for years. Ever since Melksham belted May it's just got worse. Go back out Tracc, we/team need ya. I don't blame Tracc. Who wants to be fighting off winning a spoon cos club management is shit. Most players want to win a flag. Or get close. Player movements towards the twilight of their career make sense if present club crap. Brian Lake perfect example. Wins 3 flags with Hawks. Retires end of 2015, Doggies win flag in 2016.
Petracca absolute downhill skier
Lol, Rioli worth one late first, maybe
As a Carlton fan would like to see McKay traded. Soft as butter and not living up to his big salary. A basketballer playing football. How he is in the All Australian squad is staggering.
Beg to differ, love Big H
was our best player first half of the year, how short is your memory? 😂
top7 in contestested marks from 2021-24 and only 6 players in the entire league have kicked more goals this year including Curnow.I don't know what more you expect.
