    Thank you for your time and effort to make videos available for us.
    I would greatly appreciate if you can share the settings for custom PSU Extension Cables you have ordered.

      Here they are:
      CABLEMOD CABLES options:
      - custom PSU extension cables
      - modflex
      - pro
      - 4x combs on each cable
      - default length what's provided
      - colours black & gold, and feel free to copy my colour scheme from the video or just make your own ;)
      cables:
      1. 24pin atx extension
      2. Bridged 4+8 pin EPS (CPU) extension
      3. 6pin PCIe extension cable
      4. Bridged 8+8pin pcie extension cable
      (PS! If you're not using the same GPU as I have, you might need to change the 4th cable coz not all GPUs have the same power headers, especially 3090s. So double check that before buying the 4th cable for your GPU).

    Personally, I would put the rad with the fans onto the top of the case pushing hor air out. You would get the same airflow but the air coming in from the from would be a cooler room temperature, not heated up by the rad. In this case, you would lower the overall temperature in the case, also the power consumption and the noise level as well.

    • @Frungy兴谚
      @Frungy兴谚 2 года назад +11

      Putting rad on top also eliminate any air bubbles issue inside the coolant and allow gravity reduce stress on the pump, and reduce noises as mentioned by many other RUclipsrs.

    Finally, a PC channel focusing on content creator rigs. I have been searching for a channel like this for years. I dont have deep pockets full of money but i am willing to spend good money on the highest quality parts i can afford for a custom PC build so this is right up my kind of way to do things. I am now subbed. Thank you for making this video tutorial. I appreciated how you explained what type of DDR5 to use for the best performance possible. Most channels just say, (we're just gonna put these on and done!) With put explaining how speed performance can be affected for RAM. You're amazing 🙇‍♂️🙏

    Thanks for the heads up. I built this machine last week. I went with air (Cooler Master), and I have no heat issues with a single fan. I did run out of money($3560 total) , Left out 32 GB of ram, and stuffed it with a ASUS Dual 3050. I expect to cram another set of RAM soon , however this card is performing flawlessly so far in DaVinci Resolve .

    6:42 I really wanted to do my z690 build using the same components but my budget would not support it. So I used the 12600K, Asus TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4, 64gb of Gskill DDR4 4000 (running gear 1 at 3800 with tight timings), Samsung 980 pro 1tb card and 8 Intel 730 480gb SSDs running off of an LSI 9361 16i for internal storage from my old file server. The Igpu on the 12 series of Intel CPU is insanely fast for video encoding and is more than fast enough for me using Pinnacle Studio 25 Ultimate. I do basic video editing so a work station level build like this would be more than overkill for my needs but I do want the build you completed if my budget would support it.

      Thanks for sharing this. I'm also a bit of a perculiar user. I care far more about data safety, RAM and CPU-power for my needs (think of the system as main computer & music production workstation), so it's nice to see that the internal video is fine, even for you.

    This is (arguably I guess) your best video to date! Tooo good! What an absolutely fabulous, perfect build! And the performance is totally ridiculous! You've really kept this at a perfect length too... one is totally absorbed from beginning to end. And even in this stratosphere, you've managed to build a "budget" PC that is on par with a Threadripper... This is a flawless video and I think you've finally made a machine for me that will actually handle Photoshop 🤓

  • @YrarcOrg73
    @YrarcOrg73 2 года назад +3

    Thanks for the video. at 26:15 you calculate 35-40dB ambient room noise plus the PC noise to get 45dB. That is not correct. An increase of 3dB represents a doubling of sound level because dB (and human ears) are logarithmic. 2 42dB noise sources will produce 45dB, for instance. So if the room is 40dB, the computer is putting out about 43-44dB of noise, not 10dB. That's still quite impressive, though.

    just so everyone is aware, double stacking your fans on your rad in push pull configuration is cool, i myself like to do it just because im a power user, but thats about all that it dose... the rad dose not restrict fans ability to push air THAT MUCH and at most 1-2c it will lower your temps, it snot much and with the noise sometimes isnt worth it. and if you have the fans going at to much of diffrent speeds it can and will actually hurt airflow because the fan pushing air wont be able to push air through the pull fan

  • @hardlymick

    Great build! Only critique is you've installed the radiator upside down. Any air in the loop will settle at the top of the radiator, right where your inlet and outlet are located. Not sure if you could even mount it properly with those fans in push/pull because of the PSU shroud extending so far. IMO it's just better to mount radiators to the top of the case, even if you can't mount fans on both sides.

    • @Inb4ify
      @Inb4ify Год назад

      Doing it the other way means that air goes into the pump instead and destroys it. I'd rather refill the rad than that...

    Hi Mate
    Thanks for an always beautiful production.
    Did a build fairly similar to yours a few years ago... 9900K, 2080ti Strix, Samsung NVMe in the P600S. I can only agree to your comments regarding the case... Extremely easy to build inside, very intuitive routing using the clever harnesses, and the build quality is just top notch. I used an 280mm AIO and 140mm Noctua iPPC 2000rpm fans(also push/pull) everywhere they could be fitted, which have proven very effective. I've taken both the front and top panel off, to increase the airflow. Noise is what it is.... I don't mind the current level.
    I later switched the GPU to a RTX8000 and added a 3090 Strix. Upgraded the PSU to a "Shut your face" Sith Lord 1500w, which is a solid gem.
    Sadly, the MoBo and P600S combination yielded some fairly high temps on the 3090, as it is very close the "psu shroud", so I've just upgraded the system to an Alder Lake and switching to your Threadripper build case... Fractal Torrent. I hope this will provide more air to the GPU's.
    Anyways.. thanks again for your awesome videos! I only have 1 gripe, and that's the orientation of the AIO tubes (up). I understand that it may not be an issue for that specific AIO, but it could be causing the fairly high temps on your CPU.
    Arrgghhh... 2nd gripe... Did you not find/mount the GPU ANTI-SAG BRACKET that is included with the P600S!?!? ; D
    Take care, and all the best... DD

    SSD question: First time builder here. Great videos/channel! I’m building this almost to spec as you have it for use to video edit/motion graphics/3D graphics. I chose to use the Cardea SSD and just one FireCuda (for now anyway). I ordered them and just realized that I ordered a different FireCuda than what you are using. I’m now thoroughly confused of the difference and if it’s worth returning what I ordered and paying an extra $200.
    1) (what I ordered) Seagate FireCuda 530 ZP2000GM3A013 2 TB Solid State Drive - M.2 2280 Internal - PCI Express NVMe (PCI Express NVMe 4.0 x4) - $350
    2) Seagate FireCuda 530 2TB Solid State Drive - M.2 PCIe Gen4 ×4 NVMe 1.4, speeds up to 7300 MB/s, Compatible PS5 Internal SSD, 3D TLC NAND, 1275 TBW, 1.8M MTBF - $530
    They both say speeds of up to 7300MB/s, so I’m lost as to what would be more preferred and why. $200 difference is a lot! Please help me wrap my head around this because references I find to help me understand tend to confuse me as they pertain to these 2 specific drives. Does the more expensive one have a longer life span? Why the major difference in cost? Thanks for the help!!

Was wondering if you would you put your programs (Adobe lightroom/Premier Pro) in the OS Drive or the Project Drive? Do you have a process for transferring your project files to the "Archive Drive." to make space on the project drive? I was hoping you had a video on your storage process recommendations. Thanks!!!

    I disagree on the value idea. The RTX Titan had quadro drivers that have a ton of optimizations while obviously the 3090 doesn't. Yes the 3090 has like double the cores but. And increase in price with no quadro drivers I'd say it's not worth it.
    And if you guys don't understand the value of professional drivers. Then ya the applications you guys use aren't that demanding but $3,000 is professional level. And pros need the best/most stable drivers.

    • @theTechNotice
      @theTechNotice  2 года назад

      The 3090 like all the other 3000 series have also studio drivers, in my experience they have been very stable. Just curious what other people's experience has been like? 🤔

    • @puertadlm163
      @puertadlm163 2 года назад +2

      @@theTechNotice Studio and Quadro drivers are similar but have very clear differences. Going to have to respectfully disagree again. Quadro drivers have many more optimizations and stability improvements over the studio ones. I've worked for video production studios and all they use is quadros for that 100% stability.
      Not saying there's a massive difference. I'd say like going from 92% stable to 99% stable when switching to Quadro drivers.
      I hope my argument was clear and respectful. The 3090 yes is a good value all things considered for productivity. BUT once you compare it to quadro level cards, I don't think it holds up. But to any other card yes I think it will.

    • @theTechNotice
      @theTechNotice  2 года назад +2

      Thanks for sharing your opinion and doing it respectfully! Comment section has turned into a fight corner these days :)
      Honestly, if money wasn't an obstacle, I'd go for the (Quadro aka A) cards as well. Said that with the scalper situation going on at the moment the A (old Quadro) card vs non A card price difference isn't that much at the moment so for some professionals that '7%' could be worth it. At the same time 95% of the people trying to stay on a budget will be perfectly fine with the 3090 as well. What do you think?

    • @puertadlm163
      @puertadlm163 2 года назад

      @@theTechNotice I agree for the budget user the 3090 is even at this inflated price is still a "fair" value for money. Where I previously disagreed was simply comparing it to a titan card. Because titan cards offer different value. We both know Titans are performance over everything else.
      That's where we disagreed just when compared to a titan. 3090 on its on, is great value for my budget kings. When compared to professional cards for professional users, no.

    Based on your 12900K Build, I also build a PC with some slight deviations. I also Chose the Phanteks P600S and the same ASUS Thor PSU thanks for your video, they are great!
    Differences are:
    I have used an ASUS Z690 Hero Motherboard and a 12900KS with 128GB DDR5 RAM from Kingston. 3x 2TB Kingston Fury Beast NVME SSD.
    For cooling I use an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm AIO with push-pull-config (6X140mm Fans), there were tricky to fit in and additional 3x140mm Case Fans.
    GPU: ASUS TUF 3090Ti OC-Version.
    In direct Comparison the Hero MB has hat a few more advantages over the Creator MB. It also features the 60W Charging for the front panel, just has a worse LAN connection, which was the only downside though.
    Total cost was about 6500€ which is as of today, around ~6800$ or ~5500£. I am pretty happy with it so far 😊.
    I just hope the Bios will get an update to support higher RAM Speed, currently I am stuck on 4000 MHz. They could run up to 5600 MHz. For what reasons ever, they won't even run on the JEDEC Standard of 4800 MHz.

      @@Innovative_Arts The Hero only has one LAN Port with 2,5Gbps, the ProArt has 2 Lan Ports, 1x 2,5Gbps and 1x 10Gbps. For me that was not relevant. The Hero has support for the PCI-E 5 Gen standard and also has the Risercard to add more M2 Slots. It also has an optical Audio output, which doesnt exist on the ProArt, that is why i went with the Hero.

    • @ojtothemax
      @ojtothemax 2 года назад

      @@Innovative_Arts Currently higher Ram Speed is only possible when using only 2 of the 4 RAM Slots. But then the maximum capacity is at 64GB. I am okay with the 128GB and 4000Mhz, because i care more about the stability of the system. Maybe there will be a BIOS Update coming out in the Future, lets see.But it could be that the XMP on 4 Slots will only be fully supported with the 13th Gen Intel Processors coming out. Luckily the 13th Gen will also have the LGA1700 Interface.

    Cheers for doing the work to create your fine video reviews, mate. As we're into the "creative" side of PCs, we're seriously considering the Asus ProArt Z690-Creator motherboard for our PC build. As I was watching your review, a new term popped up relative to using (4) DDR5 RAM modules, "XMP profiles." This being the case, I researched the phrase and discovered that it relates to overclocking. As the phrase, "XMP profile," was totally foreign to me, I'm sure that it's obvious to you that I know next to nothing about overclocking a PC, which leads me to an important question. If one employs the Asus motherboard that you used in this review -- and does not intend to do any form of overclocking -- is it safe to employ four RAM modules? Needless to say, this motherboard is very expensive, so having the ability to expand to four RAM modules is fairly critical.

    First of all, thank you for the valuable information. I built the same computer with the ASUS ProArt Creator Z790 and the i9 13900KS. Tell me please, are the 6 fans in the front all connected together or is it 2 times 3 fans connected? And where do they go on the motherboard. CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT for each 3 fans and the AIO pump in on the AIO_HEADER...
    I can't see the activity of the 6 fans in the BIOS even though the fans are spinning... What can be the reason?
    Since the wiring was not moderated in the video, I have no idea how you did it and I just connected all 6 fans together. Before I dismantle the whole thing to separate the fans, I thought I would ask you first.
    Thank you for taking the time to answer.
