You chose the right city to stay longer. I'm from Tirana but i used to go there on the weekends just for the atmosphere and the good food. And the beer of course 🍺🍺🍺🍺. The old bazaar is very fascinating and the people of Korca are very welcoming. Hope you enjoy it guys.
Lakror with tomatos and onions one of my favorites. My favorite, lakror with cheese, yogurt, milk, eggs little chunks of parsley and butter. One thing you guys must understand is that the ingredients are not the same as the ones when I was growing up. Back then they were heavenly. But, glad you're getting a taste of true Albanian cuisine.
It is amazing... I was in Albanien and what makes me surpised is that every Restaurant cooks very delicious food... the price is very cheap and every restaurant I visited is very clean.. it was a very nice travel there,..
I went to the Traditional Byrek place that you went to. It’s called Lakror N në Saç in the Old Bazar. I ordered the tomato and onion Byrek. It was so very delicious. The people working there are so pleasant and helpful. I would come back again for the spinach pie. It’s winter now and the seating area upstairs is traditional and gives a family style atmosphere. Se volete provare qualcosa di spettacolare vi consiglio di fare visita in un qualsiasi famiglia nelle campagne attorno alla città . Insieme con il Raki ( servito ai uomini ) e Liker( servito alle donne ) accompagnate rigorosamente con la Bakllava con noci , mandorle e miele , le Llokume , e il Gliko . The taste si so gorgeous ! Il bakllava viene preparato e steso nei balconi delle case essiccandosi con i raggi del sole . Si usano all’incirca mille fogli . A volte la mia mamma e le mie zie ci mettevano fino a tre giorni per prepararlo . Grazie comunque . Ho provato un forte brivido di piacere nel vedere il vostro video . Un abbraccio a tutti e due !
Lakror = Lakrori; The "i" is used to denote the name, just like English does with "the". For example "a pie" vs "the pie". The same with "a" for example you might have seen the different ways of writing city names: Tirane/Tirana; Vlore/Vlora; Korce/Korca etc. By the way LAKEROR means "made with cabbage/greens". LAKER means CABBAGE.

@@TwoMadExplorers how did u get there. Are the buses ok and safe there. Will we need to get the public buses to go places whilst there. Someone said they went to get on a bus there and the tyres had no tread on them. Are they all that way.
Albanian bar food.Careful in Panda you might have to run to the bathroom. Boboshitcë is a small town just outside of Korçë that has several good restaurants for lamb. A day trip to lake Prespa, and Pogrodec on lake Ohrid would be fun for you guys. There is a little promenade at night in Pogrodec like in Korçë. Bring a lite jacket it starts to get cool at night not like the coast
