@Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg what did you not understand I said we love ppl that respect and love us it doesn’t matter where they are from. Every where will be good and bad ppl there is no forests without wild pigs. Let politics aside we are ppl with red blood
Great video and great presentation of our food. You guys nail it. However, to taste the best of our food you must go up in mountain villages where you will really find heaven on Earth in regard to food especially during summer when locally grown goods are available. By the way raki in my country is generally made out of grapes. Now, for commercial purposes they make them from just about anything but grapes are the name of the game and grapes are generally with seeds. Korca beer is best there. Hope you had a taste of it too. Cheers.
Hey L&P, yet another fantastic video searching out a country’s finer aspects. I love your content and when I get a notification of new content. Have a happy and prosperous 2023 and take care😊!
I have the accent mimic condition also...I used to spend time in Albania off and on for years and would be speaking with an accent within a few days of being there. When I would return to Canada it would take a minute to shake it off.
Awesome video great content, I plan to visit Albania in the near future. I love the way you both share interact with each other it’s refreshing. Thank you for sharing, ❤ Mia from Puerto Rico 😊
All the food looks amazing! The talk about lamb liver made me think about the fresh kidneys I’d get from the local butcher shop here before the pandemic
The Albanian guys told you right. You bend the head down is approved or yes and when you move side to side is no or disapproved . Thanks for you great video and welcome to Albania. You will find natural beauty friendly ppl and great food. Raki is like moonshine ❤By the way guys are you from USA. I’m an Albanian living in Michigan since 1997

Raki Dellinje ( plantain brandy ) is the best good for ur health , 1 shots every morning is good every day. Just to find without sugar is the best drink ever.
I think your confusion about the head gestures comes from an old Simpsons episode about albania. Although we mostly use the traditional head gestures, tilting(not shkaing) your head left to right means yes/ok/alright. Tilting your head backwards once while closing your eyes and raising your eyebrows means no.
To tell the truth, the Turks and others have taken the recipes of the kitchen from us, because the Albanians are older than the Turks and any other country in the world, when the Turks came to Anatolia, they ate eggs in a pan with kid goat meat, all the Turkic tribes these they had a drink, sherbet, milk, they didn't even have tea in ancient times, the Turks learned to cook when they conquered the kingdoms, cities, they tried to get cooking recipes, Albania was at war with all the superpower empires in ancient times, but these foreign kingdoms and empires were born after for a long time when the Albanians existed before them like this in the scheme of taking names from others, while the others took them from us when they invaded our country. In ancient Europe, the tribes and kingdoms only put chickens, rabbits, pigs, veal, or some kind of soup with boiled water and potatoes on a spit. Europe also used stewed apples for perfume, and today you are going to Turkey. Those kitchens that exist today are still not their kitchens. because they only have kukures kebab, kid meat, lamb with bread, but the Albanians made these before the Turks came to Anatolia.
About the head nods... both are right...the older generations nod left and right... but it is more like the head movement of a bubble head. The younger Albanians have adopted the Western nods. Great Video you two!
Shaking the head opposite for yes or not It was like that before But since albanians went out in Europe than we understood that we confused the people And we have changed that
As much as I know the head movement u explaint it’s the opposite way actually left to righ is no and up and down mean yes not everyone use that way of answering tho
Tirana is great, so much happening it will make your head spin. I ate at this restaurant 2 days ago. Right on the edge of the street, no space wasted. Paulie, you are beautiful! You could pass for Audrey Hepburn. The beer here is the best. Something about KOAN is totally perfect. The fish was good, I don't care for octopus or squid, don't like chewy stuff. Tirana has my attention, so exotic. The people are the nicest in the world. Even though primarily Muslim, I don't get that vibe or any hostility in any sense. These people are just out of repression from Communist rule and just want to be free and accepted. Like the SWAMP in Wash, DC, there are lingering aspects of Communism here that will take a long time to get rid of.
I love Albania, lots of love from Afghanistan 🇦🇫 ❤ 🇦🇱
@Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg I have some friends and neighbors form Albania and they are so nice, humble and great human beings!
Thank you:) We love you too:)
