      I'd love to see more Shqiperi food places in The UK. Apart from that, Moor Cafe in Sheffield is excellent, and my man there is a great guy.

    The Albanian language was band under the Ottoman. If you where Othodox you had to go to a Greek school if you was lucky to go to school and had to write in Greek and was listed as a Greek. If you where Muslim everything was in Turkish and you was listed as a Turk. If you was a Catholic in the north you was a Latin. The Greeks and Serbs did their the same way not by ethnicity but by religion. If you got caught writing in Albanian you was in Trouble. Durning the Greek revolution a lot of their leaders where writing to each other in the Greek script but in the Albanian language. All Orthodox was considered Greek. Bulgarians, Albanians even Syrian
    As Greek Muslims was called Turks even by the Greeks One of the great things about the first school in Albania was that there were both girls and boys, Christians and Muslims in the same class room together.
    Oh their are some Albanian books written before the Ottoman in the Vatican The Albanians were both Catholic and Orthodox before the Turks

      Illerians are the original Albanians of the Shqiptare, so you could say that the Illerian language is the original Albanian language. This dates back to the Trojan wars and even before then. This is way before the 13th century and before Christ.

    • @adamdemirs3466
      @adamdemirs3466 2 года назад +1

      @enten hausen The Illerians are the Albanians and spoke the language before Christ. Not sure what this guy is saying that it didn't exist before the 13 century AD. We spoke Illerian/Albanian as some of the first people on earth. We spoke Illerian/Albanian as we fought the Romans, Greeks, and then the Ottoman that came centuries later. Illerians date back as far as the ancient Egyptians.

    My grandfather, Xheffari, was from Koritza, Korce. At the time, it was disputed by Greece. He was born in 1890 or possibly 1889. He came to America in 1907. I would love to go there and meet my family, the Demir klan.

    Bro Albanian in the Balkans, are native living in Albanian occupied lands, they’re not called diaspora. Just so you know and state it in the correct way .

  • @HeritageCast

    This part of Balkan Diaspora is important and I think will change. As the American Israeli empire falls. We may see the Serbian and others Slavic Diasporas return home. As security, investment etc is strengthened in the region once the empire falls...

      @DIMITRIOS VLISSIDES no sir, the Illerians are dated centuries before Christ. What are you even talking about. 13th century AD is a spec of the timeline after the original Illerian peoples inhabited the region. We are more ancient than Greece, Rome, or even the Egyptians.
