I used my Dewalt one last month with a 1-1/4” spade bit to drill through 3/4” subfloor to install baseboard heat tubing. It did great and no damage to it at all. I used my Milwaukee M12 drill ironically lol

I picked up the Milwaukee. I actually went to pick up the DeWalt. Out of stock, and I needed one for a job. After hearing what you said about the DeWalt's magnet, I'm happy I got the Milwaukee. The 1 inch bit provided was in there super tight. Works for me.

I have the MILWAUKEE 49-22-8510 which heavier duty than both of the right angle attachments reviewed here. I've had it for a few years and have been very pleased with it. It costs more but in my opinion, it's worth it.

Gotta agree both will work fine and are great little time and trouble saving tools. I have an older Dewalt that looks almost identical to the Milwaukee in design. I also have the new Dewalt one. They both work well but the main plus for me with the new Dewalt design is the bit extractor hole in the back that allows you to put a nail or skinny screw in the back to pop your bit out to make extracting the bit easier. The old style is hard to get a bit out of sometimes. 1" phillips bits are recessed pretty deep in the tool and are hard to grab.

In a game of millimeters it helps and as I said in a previous comment the old Dewalt came with a removable reaction arm that you could rotate and it saved my fingers more than I could count. Especially in those tight places where you cant get a hand on the attachment to keep it straight...basically 1 handed operation

I came to RUclips to see a comparison. I am an electrician and I broke my Milwaukee adapter. I rarely use it, but when I do it's a brutal request. I try to minimize any drywall damage so there are many times I would like to drill down through the top plate but the roof angle creates a significant height issue so I pop a daredevil bit into this adapter, start as straight as I can and angle it as I sink it in. Usually the bits are 1 inch or less but occasionally 1 1/4 or 1 1/8. Lots of nails in these missions.
I took the adapter apart and am not very impressed with the overall construction. Keep in mind I am a big team red guy so if anything my bias would be pro Milwaukee. The side you attach to your drill there is a form fit collet of sort around the hex shank to give a rounded exterior. That broke in 3 places. Around that piece was a cylinder that cracked lengthwise. It seemed to exist to allow the inner piece to rotate within it. They could have had a design to that shank to make that section permanently round and put a bearing on it but they cheaped out hard. The shank that runs the length has a slight bow in it, which could have caused all the cracks and failures. Then finally the head itself has a crack in it. 6 points of failure in that tool. I'm going to buy a Dewalt one next, went with the Milwaukee originally based on brand/preference.

There’s a feature on the dewalt, that not one of you who has ever “reviewed” the tool has mentioned. You can see the feature on every video of the dewalt. Look on the backside, that little hole. Drop a 1 inch bit in both the Milwaukee and dewalt. To get that one inch bit out of the Milwaukee, you need pliers. To get a one inch bit out of the dewalt, you just need a little pokey instrument. Not a single one of you “reviewers” has noticed that feature on the dewalt. Make it real.
