AM or FM? With the amount of money it’s made already, a sequel is inevitable. I really liked the new one, and hope that a sequel can do a lot of new and cool things
I used to play Simba's Pride any time i went into my bedroom - even if it was only for 5 minutes. That was a very well-loved VHS. Plus, I still think Lullaby is underrated as a Disney song.
Same with Beauty and the Beast: the Enchanted Christmas, even Mulan 2 had these qualities despite Eddie Murphy wasn’t back for Mushu unfortunately, also both Aladdin were awesome! Honestly it broke my heart so much they didn’t use this kind of magic on Pocahontas 2, which should’ve ended with Pocahontas Smith, but no
thepony Actually, it does. "Tinker Bell" was originally made to be a Sequel to "Peter Pan" The idea of the Whole Series came out after the Movie was well accepted by audience.
Why is the Lion King 2 put so low on the list!? One of the best Disney villain songs(in my opinion) is on there, My Lullaby. Plus I know I'm not the only one who felt some type of way about Kovu!
Animetion Girl You’re an idiot. Of course there was a #2 if there was a #3. The third one is still a sequel. They didn’t include Cinderella 2 because it didn’t make their list of the 10 BEST.
Time2Spare The Lion King II had a million plot holes though. I personally prefer The Lion King 1.5 (or 3 every where else by the US). It's not perfect but doesn't take itself too seriously so mistakes aren't as big of an issue (like they are in TLK2). I love the Lion King and all of its sequels. I'm actually in the fandom, as nerdy as that sounds (for proof just look at my channel's content, haha). Despite this, even I won't deny the Lion King 2 is still a cash-grab story littered with plot holes. It's far from "perfect". Here are just a few of the contradictions with its plot. 1. Scar's only followers were hyenas, but now we're expected to believe their was a group of lionesses that followed him. Where were these ladies the entire first movie? 2. Nuka, Vitani and Kovu aren't Scar's children, yet he wants Kovu to be his successor. Scar would never pick an heir that wasn't related to him. 3. Zira wasn't Scar's wife, and more of a crazy follower of his. What makes her kids/cubs so special then? Again, why did Scar choose Kovu? 4. If Kovu was "hand picked by Scar", this must mean he was born before Scar died. However, Kiara was clearly born after Scar's death and she and Kovu are roughly the same age. Not only are those plot holes annoying, but Nala's eyes are incorrectly colored blue-blue the entire film (in the first movie they're green and tourquoise but never blue) and all of the "reds" of the film, including Simba's mane and Pumbaa's entire body are colored a very dull brownish purple. It's not a terrible sequel (like I said I love it still) but it's no where near perfect.
TLK 1.2 isn't even canon though. They never showed the hyenas hearing Scar blame them. They were too busy getting punked by Timon. Major physics error there.
LucienSabre Didn't think TLK II was all *THAT* great. I thought it was boring. Just not as good as the first movie. And I'm sorry, but I'd have to sympathize with Nuka's character on this one. I mean, seriously, you know that the sequel would be bad at story-telling, the minute you start sympathizing and defend a character that is voiced by Andy Dick, of all people. Not to mention that the guy who directed TLK II, was also the same guy who later on directed Mulan II.
Couldn’t agree more. LK 1 1/2 was literally just showing the plot of the first movie from another point of view. LK 2 is actually way better than it’s given credit for
Aladdin and the King of Thieves has to be my favorite. A great conclusion to the series and the return of Robin Williams as the genie. Plus in the ending wedding scene you can briefly see a few characters from the TV series.
Thiti2000 uh hell yeah. Have you seen the quality of animation, character design and story? It feels like your watching a Disney animated feature film!
Thiti2000 Why not ? If you don't agree, then explain why you think it isn't that good. B/c it is for sure better than "Lion King 1,5" which was criticized a lot. And the Critics made a point. LK3 (3rd movie) was different than the 1st and 2nd. Both were Serious and shown the Family's "Problems". 3rd was just trying to be a Comedy... It just didn't fit after all we got before. Also, even Disney and all the Critics agreed that LK2 is probably the Best Movie Disney Ever Made.
First big change, I'd switch 1 and 9. Lion King 1 1/2 was criticized widely for being far more needlessly comedic than the other films in the series. In particular, several of the iconic and majestic moments from the original Lion King (remember the animals bowing at baby Simba's reveal?) were changed to be all because of Pumbaa's farts. There was a fart joke in the original, granted, which worked because it was just the one joke and it was very understated. Lion King 2, however, captures the same tone that made the original beloved. A dramatic coming-of-age story with an end moral of forgiveness and acceptance. Plus, well... BORRRRN IN GRIEF~ RAAAIIIISED IN HATE~ HELLLLLPLESS TO~ DEFYYYYY HIS FATE~ LEEET HIM RUN~ LEEEET HIM LIVE~BUT DO NOT FORGET WHAT WE CANNOT FORGIIIIIIIIIIIVE! Cuz HE IS NOT! ONE OF US! HE HAS NE-VER BEEN OOOONNE OF US!
He is not part of us! Not our kind~ Someone once lied to us! Now we're not so blind for we knew he would do what he's done, and we know that he'll never be one of us~!
I agree that The Lion King 1 & 1/2 wasn't as good as the others, i think it should have been another sequel based on another one of William Shakespeare's novels to match the other 2 (since Disney based the first two Lion King movies off this novels: Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet)
Simba:EXILE! Kiara:Brah NU!!!! Kovu:*Looks at the games*U chose me over that wow....Simba....just just exile me already.... Simba:K ~(○-○)~ OTHER ANIMALS:HE IS NOT ONE OF US!!!!
Agree, Bambi II is easily my favorite direct to video sequel...actually, scratch that it's my favorite Disney sequel period. I'm so disappointed that we can't have more Bambi, it's not fair. Beautiful animation, cute characters, great emotion, and all-around very fun to watch, and yet we only got 2 movies? That's a shame. But regardless, I still love Bambi both the original and it's sequel. Although, I do have mixed opinions about them doing a live-action remake, but regardless I still love Bambi.
I watched both videos (10 best and 10 worst Disney sequels) and there's no mention of Peter Pan: Return to Neverland about Jane, Wendy's daughter. This is one of my favourite Disney movies and has had a place in my heart from a young age. Was it not mentioned because it's on the half way mark?
Here’s my list: 1. The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride 2. Aladdin and the King of Thieves 3. Bambi II 4. Brother Bear 2 5. Cinderella III: A Twist in Time 6. Kronk’s New Groove 7. The Fox and the Hound II 8. Aladdin: Return of Jafar 9. The Lion King 1/12 10. Mulan II 11. The Jungle Book 2 12. 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure (I’ll add more later)
Thank you. Someone who was like, "WTF!?" Really should have been Aladdin and the King of Thieves. Fun fact: Sean Connery was going to be the voice of Cassim, the King of Thieves, but scheduling conflicts resulted in John Rhys-Davies being cast. I could only imagine it: "Aladdin, my boy. You're the besht shon a man could ashk for." Another fun fact: it was originally supposed to be Mozenrath, a villain from the TV series, to be Aladdin's long-lost brother, but the lost-dad angle worked better, I guess.
Yeah, if 'rigged' means people voted for it because those that didn't like it are in the minority, sure. The Lion King 1/2 was a very successful movie, both critically and commercially.
Shirotora Godsbane I just think it's really overrated. It comes across to me as if Timon and Pumba promised the producers a lot of money if they retold the original through their point of view; sort of an ego-trip if you know what I mean.
11:47 When I was a kid, I thought Timon and Pumbaa were at the cinemas that I asked "What's with the remote controls?" Up until I grew older that I realized that it's a home theater. I'm so pleased that the Lion King sequels are not ranked as the worst Straight to DVD sequels. They were amazing as they follow the story well.
really simbas pride should have been second and one of the tinkerbell sequels should have been ninth, probably the secret of the wings because that had the most character development
A younger Wendy also made a cameo in the first Tinker Bell movie, although it would be nice one of these days to have a definitive connection such as ending the franchise with the story of how and why Tinker Bell left Pixie Hollow to live with Peter Pan in Never Land.
It should be titled straight to home video. I had TLKII on VHS as a kid. But I'm glad both Lion King movies, and Aladdin III made the list. I always thought #2 was better than 1 1/2, though.
No because only two Disney animation movies have gotten to theaters so everyone knows that and a lot of the newer ones premiered on TV, like Tinkerbell.
I was horribly disappointed in Bambi II. While in the original character of Bambi was cute and sweet, in II he was snarky and a bit sarcastic. However, it IS worth watching for the line, "A prince does not say 'Woo-hoo'."
Bambi II should have been in the top 3. First of all, it showed what happened to Bambi after his mother died. It also explored his relationship with his, may I say, badass and awesome father. And Bambi's character wasn't the only thing to grow, the Prince grew too. I loved that movie :)
Neevkl_7 I think "Lion King 1,5" shouldn't be on this list at all. The Title literally says "Top 10 Best Straight to DVD Disney Sequels" And not only 1. "Lion King 1,5" was the *Most Criticized" Movie of the whole Series 2. There are waaay more DVD Sequels Disney ever made (example: "Mulan 2") LK3 just sucks and no one can argue with that.
What about Return to Neverland?? I just saw it and is considerally better when you see it grown up lol (I didn't like it when I was little because I didn't get all the things that Jane was living)
this is how it should have been. 1. Pooh's Grand Adventure the search for Christopher Robin 2. Lion King 2 Simba's Pride 3. Aladdin and the King of Thieves. honestly pooh's Grand Adventure is the best Winnie the Pooh movie ever made it's also longer then all of the other Winnie the Pooh movies that went to theaters
THANK YOU! That's EXACTLY how I feel! That movie is my all time favorite Winnie the Pooh movie and is on my top ten favorite Disney movie list! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Yet, believe it or not, Watchmojo put it on the honorable mentions list on their worst Disney movie sequels list. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! I don't get Watchmojo at all! I'm still fuming over it! They got themselves lucky that they put Lion King 2 on this list and not the worst list or else they would have heard it from me!
Im Betmen youre right it did suck, and im like one of the biggest Little Mermaid fan even the Little Mermaid prequel was better than 2 but still was garbage
The Lion King II, Bambi II, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, The Dalmatians II, I loved them all :" I also like The Lion King 1/2, and I was dubtful about Brother Bear II, but I rewatched it the other day and seeing how other sequels turned out it's not that bad at all Also Tinkerbell's movies look colourful and well made, I think I have actually watched the first one a couple of times
I feel like Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure was absolutely shafted! Not only is it my favorite sequel, it's my favorite Disney movie period! Incredible music, good animation, good plot! Can't beat it!!
+KevinMcNoodles - I like that one too. My kids and I watch it all the time on Netflix. Though to be honest, I would watch it without my kiddos! - Cheers.
101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure was a joy to watch and I remember first time watching it on DVD on my grandma’s multi-disc player and it’s still a joy to watch on Disney+ today
I agree. 101 Dalmatians is one of my favorites and Patch’s London Adventure was so cute, considering he was one of their puppies and having an insight on how he felt as just another puppy considering he had to compete with 100 more. The part he gets trapped in the apartment and literally NO ONE including Roger, Anita, or Nanny notice for the longest time one of the main puppies is missing crushed me, considering he felt they didn’t really care about him, and he was on his own for a few days. Not to mention the reality of meeting your hero/idol and they’re not exactly what you thought, but rather you managed to inspire them. Try Again was a cute song as they were reenacting different ThunderBolt episodes
I swear, "A Twist in Time" was 10x darker than the original "Cinderella". Tremaine was just so diabolical, even using her own daughter Anastasia as a pawn for her rise to royal status and wealth. At least in the movie, Cinderella gets to become hardcore to gain her happy ending.
I mean she threatened to turn her into a frog or whatever when she broke her disguise spell, and Drizella tells her “Oooh, turn her into a frog!” Honestly its a bit of a bummer we don’t see Drizella torn about her relationship with the new Anastasia or making her mother proud
Whomever said that Return to Neverland didn't have a theatrical release according to Disney, that's not true. I know this because my family and I actually went see it in theaters.
okay, here is a sequal idea: Another, Goofy tv cartoon series! Set in current times! Where the son of Goody can have his own family and the kids would be the lime light. Or do it like Duck Tales reboot, and do redo everything like that.
I use to like it as a kid but now I hate it as it doesn't make sense with the original, if you pay attention to the events of the first one and the events of 1.5 there are heaps of mistakes and things that you know are wrong e.g. the spot behind the pride rock where Timon and Pumba stay is then turned into the water hold yet in the first movie we can see that the water hole is a bit of a distance away not right behind it. They also found the forest after falling down the waterfall but in the first movie we see Simba has to travel across a dessert to get there, The lion king is my favourite movie so I don't like that it doesn't keep to the facts. It also makes me dislike Timon as he's made even more self centred.
How is it that you can nitpick about things like travel distance in 1 1/2 but it somehow makes perfect sense that Kovu kept going back and forth, was a weak edgy-teen protagonist who shouldn't have even been given the assignment just because he was Scar's favorite? Why the hell was he his favorite, when he was so disobedient? There's literally no reason. And that's a major actual plot hole that would make the entire movie not exist if people just acted sensibly.
Am I the only one who loved the Peter Pan sequel, Return to Neverland? It was kind of a repeat of the original film, with Jane filling in Wendy's shoes, but that scene towards the end, where adult Wendy reunites with Peter, gets me every time. Not to be lame and say it gave me "all the feels", but, well, it kind of did. Next to Cinderella III, this one's kinda my favorite.
There's one Japanese story about a peasant who crosses the Milky Way to be with a princess he's in love with, and the Milky Way is like a river of stars. Now you can't tell me that right there has the potential for having Disney's magical animation written all over it. Just the concept of a river made entirely of stars screams Disney magic.
I love these straight to DVD sequels/prequel/interequel :) I wonder if they'll make a top 10 disney live-action versions of old animated movies like beauty & the beast, cinderella, and jungle book
It's still my all time favorite Disney movie. The soundtrack is fantastic, the characters are great, and Rafiki, my favorite character, gets his own song
Before I clicked on this video I said to myself if Bambi II and the Lion King II or not up here then this video would be an absolute outrage OUTRAGE! I love Cinderella 3 I thought it was very clever but speaking of Tinkerbell is it just me? or does everyone want to see Tinkerbell meet Peter Pan!!!!!!!!! like if you agree!
Honestly I like Tink and her reaction. It made sense. It was Pan and Tink for who knows how long and then here comes Wendy out of no where who gets all the attention. It made sense that Tink would become jealous and try to take Wendy out the picture. I honestly hated Wendy as a kid but I understand her character design now that I'm an adult.
LOL, I actually didn't like Peter Pan as a movie. Neither did my daughter. She was all of seven years old and we're both sitting there heckling it like an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I honestly can't imagine that this movie was the first time that Peter Pan had ever brought a girl to Never Never Land. I think Tinkerbell should have left his sorry ass for a nice midtown flat, claimed emotional abuse via infidelity and sued his ass for half. Or better yet, also used her magic to help Captain Hook end this reign of terror by the flying terrorist and his kidnapped minions, who are all suffering from 'Stockholm Syndrome'.
The music in Bambi 2 and Brother Bear 2 was absolutely beautiful. If you haven't heard the soundtracks for these movies, look them up :) They were two of my fav Disney sequels, along with Lion King 2 and 101 Dalmatians 2.
I don't know about you but brother bear 2 just bugged me, kenai didn't sound the same and the animation just didn't look right, especially on kenai and koda. Also there was a cinderella 2 that had also redeemed the red headed sister in one of the stories. i loved it as a kid but i don't know if it was straight to video.
+CasuallySora Why Phoenix didn't reprise Kenai remains a mystery. He was the only VA that didn't return. I do know that if he ever see Brother Bear Characters again like in a Kingdom Hearts game, Rutt and Koda will definetely have new VAs.
Tbh the only parts I liked about Cinderella 2 was Anastasia’s love story and especially Cinderella forgives her and helps with her happily ever after. I don’t mind the princess duties plot, but kinda meh, especially considering the dress she’s forced to wear is flat out hideous, and her prince isn’t even in the movie for more than 5 minutes.
Even through high school, I loved Tinkerbell and the Pixie Hollow franchise. probably way too much for a teenager. I played Pixie Hollow online and had pixie wall decals :P
My personal top 5 sequels 5. (tied) Lion King 1 1/2 and Bambi 2 4. The rescuers down under 3. Cinderella 3 A twist in time 2. Peter pan 2 return to Neverland 1. The lion king 2 simba's pride
The lion king 1 1/2 and 2 were so cherished by me as a kid. So glad you guys included them on this list. Once in a while I randomly yell "What was that?! Quick before the hyena come!" Whenever anyone around me is scared.
I hear you. The words "That'll do, pig. That'll do." come out of my mouth with surprising frequency, particularly when I or my daughter do something right.
Some straight to DVD Disney sequels that are definitely worth seeing are: 1. Bambi 2 (so captivating and beautiful graphics; sticking straight to the storyline and giving a good backstory of what happened after Bambi’s mom died. Touching songs too. The song, “There is Life,” is a real tearjerker and so beautiful) 2. Brother Bear 2 (no reason; just love the songs and I also love the backstory behind it. Kenai actually had a childhood “girlfriend.”) 3. An Extremely Goofy Movie (Very comical; not as bad, although it would’ve been better if it continued with Roxanne, but beggars can’t be choosers.) 4. Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (The ending is very sad, but don’t worry, Stitch recovers; it is very comical and stays with the storyline, although it went downhill with Stitch! The Movie and Leroy and Stitch.) 5. Winnie The Pooh franchise movies (all movies including The Search for Christopher Robin, Springtime with Roo, and Piglet’s Big Movie were memorable for me since I grew up with Winnie the Pooh and its movies. The Tigger Movie is also an exception, but I’m not real fond of Winnie The Pooh (2011). That one probably has to be my least favorite, but other than that, all the other movies are awesome.) That’s pretty much it.
lion king 2 has the most underrated disney soundtrack. should’ve honestly been #1 on this list.
the absolutely truest comment here
Yessss I love that one so much
the down fall of most of these is the change in voice actors, its why i didnt like brother bear 2. but lion king 2 was and still is my fav of the whole lot, the songs were epic and it was just spot on.
It sucks
I think it sucks that NO ONE is talking about the beauty and atmosphere of Bambi II
Anastasia was proven to be a good character In Cinderella 2 where she falls In love with the baker 💓
kooolkidninjamaster falling in love with another civilian doesn't equal good. Even in real life.
In the movie it did thought as she apologize to Cinderella and even refused her mother.
That’s why I don’t understand why she went along with her mother’s actions in the 3rd movie, I thought she was finally happy with him
kooolkidninjamaster it was beautiful 😊
See: Top 10 Worst Direct-to-DVD sequels ;-)
lion king 2 should have been number one. that was the best disney straight to DVD sequel ever. the music was great, the plot was great, everything was just great. & almost all of the original cast came back.
yes :)
I hope a sequel to the live action film follows the plot of Simba's Pride, but also brings a lot of changes to the material
Except maybe for Rowan Atkinson Crystal. You forgot that he might've never got to reprise his voice role as Zazu for that direct to video Disney sequel.
Tibs how about the “live action” remake gets no sequel at all? 🤗
AM or FM? With the amount of money it’s made already, a sequel is inevitable. I really liked the new one, and hope that a sequel can do a lot of new and cool things
Lion King 2 deserved a higher ranking. The songs are amazing.
Lora Logue I agree
100% agree. A lot of the stage musical has music from TLKII
Yeah. My favorite song was “He Lives in You.”
jill kona Yeah, that song was called “Not One of Us.” And it is catchy, though. I like that song, too.
jill kona It’s okay.
Simba's Pride was my favorite and I often watched it more times than the original Lion King.
You’re not alone.👍
I used to play Simba's Pride any time i went into my bedroom - even if it was only for 5 minutes. That was a very well-loved VHS. Plus, I still think Lullaby is underrated as a Disney song.
Same 😂
I watch both Lion king movies
Cieltee glad I’m not the only one. I’m obsessed with part 2. It’s my favorite movie of all time.
The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride has a thoughtful plot line and an amazing soundtrack. A very underrated film, in my opinion.
Same with Beauty and the Beast: the Enchanted Christmas, even Mulan 2 had these qualities despite Eddie Murphy wasn’t back for Mushu unfortunately, also both Aladdin were awesome! Honestly it broke my heart so much they didn’t use this kind of magic on Pocahontas 2, which should’ve ended with Pocahontas Smith, but no
They forgot to add Kronk's new groove
Tinkerbell does NOT count as a sequel!
It's it's own thing. That's why there are like 6 movies now.
thepony
Actually, it does.
"Tinker Bell" was originally made to be a Sequel to "Peter Pan"
The idea of the Whole Series came out after the Movie was well accepted by audience.
i skimmed to 10:44 and all i heard was "eat the whole nut"
Infested Sniper pretty sure you can find other videos with tinker bell saying that on the internet
@@ZachC29791 what's your point? This isn't a RUclips poop and I skipped to where she says exactly and only "eat the whole nut"
It’s a spin off. And in the beginning of the video they said they’ll include sequels, prequels, midquels and spin-offs
Why is the Lion King 2 put so low on the list!? One of the best Disney villain songs(in my opinion) is on there, My Lullaby. Plus I know I'm not the only one who felt some type of way about Kovu!
Portgas D Ace and Savannah yep I agree. When I first heard my lullaby I listened to it for months still do
who else had a crush on kovu as a kid
I had a crush on a cartoon lion okay
Jay Mcbride I had a crush on Meg from Hercules as a kid
Same, girl. Same
lmao i thought i was the only one
@Astronova /: i was about to say
Ewwww furries
Lol jk furries are like the only group of Internet people that aren't hypocritical idiots
What about Aladdin 4: Jafar May Need Glasses?
Family Guy reference.
Nice.
Or Cinderella 4: Filing Royal Taxes?
😂😂😂😂
Or Beauty and the Beast 2: here comes the kiddies
Or Aladdin 5: Jafar Answers The Census
An extremely goofy movie was life when I was 10
Agreed man I warned out the video tape from watching this a lot!
Yah I wish they had done more with Max and Pete besides the cartoon series, cause they are both so young in it!
frankscrank99 I cried quite a bit in the sequel because mother flipping Roxanne wasn't in it nor mentioned in the film!
FoxieRoxie365
Awww! I was happy at least that PJ found someone who loved him, regardless of him being a bit 'bigger!'
+Anew-Wiseman worn *
Cinderella 3 is awesome! I wish it would become a live action movie!
Allen Douangchak I AGREE 19384738191083747362910%
I loved it, too! I think I’ll watch it later.
Allen Douangchak Wait a minute... There were THREE Cinderellas?
Animetion Girl
You’re an idiot. Of course there was a #2 if there was a #3. The third one is still a sequel. They didn’t include Cinderella 2 because it didn’t make their list of the 10 BEST.
Cinderella 2 Sucked as mentioned on the WORST versions
I love this list and I agree with most of the outcomes....but I think Lion King 2 deserved a higher spot if not #1...
So do I. It's easily my favorite.
Yeah, that was a good movie. All 3 Lion King movies are amazing, honestly. c:
It's not a terrible sequel (like I said I love it still) but it's no where near perfect.
ryleeroo I never said it was perfect. I just said it was my personal favorite.
TLK 1.2 isn't even canon though. They never showed the hyenas hearing Scar blame them. They were too busy getting punked by Timon. Major physics error there.
Seriously? Lion King 1.5 over Lion King 2?
yes
Of course
Don't even ask.
Neo-Xgray87 Of course he asks, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride is actually very good.
TLK 1/2 and TLK 2 should trade spots on the list.
Agree
Becca Faye yessssssss
Totally!!!
I wholeheartedly agree! Its my favorite animated movie of all time!!!
Couldn’t agree more. LK 1 1/2 was literally just showing the plot of the first movie from another point of view. LK 2 is actually way better than it’s given credit for
so who else likes lion king 2: simba's pride more then 1 and a half
this guy
I do.
I do. The Lion King 1 1/2 freaking sucked. I do love The Lion King 2 however.
Me too. I didn't really like "The Lion King 1 1/2" that much at all.
In my opinion, LION KING 2 SUCKS!!!
If Lion King is Hamlet, does that make Lion King 1 1/2 Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead?
Yes.
Yes
Yes
I deleted my comment because I misread the post as Lion King 2 not 1 1/2 although Lion King 2 is Romeo and Juliet
More like a comedy of Errors
Aladdin and the King of Thieves has to be my favorite. A great conclusion to the series and the return of Robin Williams as the genie. Plus in the ending wedding scene you can briefly see a few characters from the TV series.
i had the huge crush on aladdins dad as a kid
He's voiced by Jon-Rhys Davies, that is totally understandable.
Sapphire Yagami Ikr ! Me too
Yup! Same here!
Sapphire Yagami only discovered it now but totally feeling the crush
i still do.
lion king 2 should have been WAY higher
Thiti2000 uh hell yeah. Have you seen the quality of animation, character design and story? It feels like your watching a Disney animated feature film!
Thiti2000
Why not ?
If you don't agree, then explain why you think it isn't that good.
B/c it is for sure better than "Lion King 1,5" which was criticized a lot.
And the Critics made a point.
LK3 (3rd movie) was different than the 1st and 2nd.
Both were Serious and shown the Family's "Problems".
3rd was just trying to be a Comedy...
It just didn't fit after all we got before.
Also, even Disney and all the Critics agreed that LK2 is probably the Best Movie Disney Ever Made.
True
True, it is as good as the first one
I really liked it has a child. Still love it though.
"Everything the sun touches belongs to.... somebody else" lion king 1 1/2 is so funny
Like totally!!
Even for a fact that Timon’s mom voiceover actress is Julie Kanver.
Lion King 2 is the only good sequel. Some of these are okay, but Lion King 1 1/2 is just unnecessery.
being honest, who WOULDN'T want a hour of Timon and Pumba?
@@BJE_LFC The Nostalgia Critic for one.
NOOOOOT OUR KIIIIINNNNNND~~~~
I completely agree with this
He is not part of us!
Simba:K ~(○-○)~
OTHER ANIMALS:HE IS NOT ONE OF US!!!!
bambi II was probably one of the best disney sequels. the movie straight made me cry
Yes it needs more recognition
Ok, it's official... Only a little bunch of people knows Hercules: Zero To Hero T-T
It's because it was released in theaters worldwide.
MaddietheWindy it was?
The Lion King 2 is definitely better than The Lion King 1 1/2.
Yes
Just rewatched The Extremely Goofy Movie last week. It's still so good.
Same! Literally, when Goofy dances with the librarian is the best scene in the whole movie!!
Life! Life is like a lime.
I know right?!
the goofy-movies just are, were and will be good xD
except if they do a third one which is crappy that is
I like The Little Mermaid 2 but I think that's just because I grew up watching it
I liked it.
I love it 2
Same for me. I was 5 years old when it was released.
same i loved it so much
I liked it too!
Here’s my list:
1. The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride
2. Aladdin and the King of Thieves
3. Bambi II
4. Brother Bear 2
5. Cinderella III: A Twist in Time
6. Kronk’s New Groove
7. The Fox and the Hound II
8. Aladdin: Return of Jafar
9. The Lion King 1/12
10. Mulan II
11. The Jungle Book 2
12. 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure
(I’ll add more later)
You honest to God enjoyed Mulan II? Have you been smoking?
Phantom Freddy you do realize this is just his opinion right?
@@isaacstevenson2960 I know, it was a joke.
All of them are bad
@@thephantomsplit umm little mermaid 2 is great it is so underrated
Lion King 1/2 has the top spot? PULEESE.
Connor Brennan they always rig it, its no surprise.
You're the besht shon a man could ashk for."
Another fun fact: it was originally supposed to be Mozenrath, a villain from the TV series, to be Aladdin's long-lost brother, but the lost-dad angle worked better, I guess.
Isaac Gleeth huh, that i didn't know...tho i much prefer John Rhys Davies xD
Yeah, if 'rigged' means people voted for it because those that didn't like it are in the minority, sure.
The Lion King 1/2 was a very successful movie, both critically and commercially.
Shirotora Godsbane I just think it's really overrated. It comes across to me as if Timon and Pumba promised the producers a lot of money if they retold the original through their point of view; sort of an ego-trip if you know what I mean.
in the next Disney video can you do Top 10 forgotten Disney Cartoon Characters (Please include Oswald)
Good one! :)
I'd watch that
I thought that was Noggin (Nick Jr).
FunArtWielder was talking about the lucky rabbit
oh my gosh yes please
Lion king 2, Aladdin 3, and Buzz Lightyear movie.
Man!! Brings back memories since I was kid. 😊
I LOVE the Tinkerbell Movies!!
The lion king 2 was awesome!!!
I know. I liked it better than the first
I think it sucks that NO ONE is talking about the beauty and atmosphere of Bambi II
Yeah
I hate the lion king 2
simbas pride should be top 3 at least
and does tinkerbell really count? it's its own franchise rather than a continuation of the peter pan franchise
really simbas pride should have been second and one of the tinkerbell sequels should have been ninth, probably the secret of the wings because that had the most character development
Kimberly that came across as more of a fun cameo because they needed a pirate and he is a well known pirate
A younger Wendy also made a cameo in the first Tinker Bell movie, although it would be nice one of these days to have a definitive connection such as ending the franchise with the story of how and why Tinker Bell left Pixie Hollow to live with Peter Pan in Never Land.
My Top 3 Best Straight to DVD Disney Sequels Are #9.“The Lion King II Simba’s Pride” (1998) #8. “Bambi II” (2006) #7. “Brother Bear 2” (2006)
I love the Tinker Bell film series! My most favorite in the series in Secret of the Wings.
It should be titled straight to home video. I had TLKII on VHS as a kid. But I'm glad both Lion King movies, and Aladdin III made the list. I always thought #2 was better than 1 1/2, though.
There's a very good chance that all the movies in this video are now available on DVD so the title of the video does make sense.
No because only two Disney animation movies have gotten to theaters so everyone knows that and a lot of the newer ones premiered on TV, like Tinkerbell.
Hailey
A lot of Disney Movies made it to the Big Screen...
Just the Older Ones.
Holy shit! Never in a million years did I think you would make this list.
Haha same. I weirdly i was reading more into direct-to-dvd Disney films.
Bas___ Saliu I knew they made the worst list (hadn't seen that yet). I actually like a few of the direct the DVD films but not a list to make 10.
i know right
You won't like
I was horribly disappointed in Bambi II. While in the original character of Bambi was cute and sweet, in II he was snarky and a bit sarcastic. However, it IS worth watching for the line, "A prince does not say 'Woo-hoo'."
I hate Bambi
that's just called growing up
Harleylover14 Fuck you boah.
@@AM-xq8nl you make a fair point.
Harleylover14 Thanks boah. Limited vocabulary and all.
Bambi II should have been in the top 3. First of all, it showed what happened to Bambi after his mother died. It also explored his relationship with his, may I say, badass and awesome father. And Bambi's character wasn't the only thing to grow, the Prince grew too. I loved that movie :)
My top Favorite😥💯😍
I guess I'm the only person who loves Mulan II :(
PiscesPrincess327 I love it
I freaking LOVE Mulan 2
Me too
PiscesPrincess327 I loved Mulan II.
PiscesPrincess327 Me and my mom love Mulan 2
"Will you be having the chicken or the sea bass?!?"
Possibly one of the funniest joke in a Disney movie ever!
OML IM LITERALLY SO HAPPY THAT LION KING 2 WAS IN THIS!!!!!!!
Katie_loo I think it should swap places with Lion King 1/2 on the list
Neevkl_7
I think "Lion King 1,5" shouldn't be on this list at all.
The Title literally says "Top 10 Best Straight to DVD Disney Sequels"
And not only
1. "Lion King 1,5" was the *Most Criticized" Movie of the whole Series
2. There are waaay more DVD Sequels Disney ever made (example: "Mulan 2")
LK3 just sucks and no one can argue with that.
Jacob PL yes it does
I hate Mulan 2 even more though so idk what would LK3's place on the list
The Lion King II: Simba's Pride is my favorite Disney sequel and the only one I liked more than the original *waits to be barraged with rotten fruit*
Roxas4ever DECEPTION! DISGRACE! 🍏🍒🍎🍉🍅
You ain't the only one getting barraged with rotten fruit… TLK2 was THE BEST!!
Well done my son we are one
Roxas4ever Same. I don't even really like the first movie tbh but movie 2 is one of my favorite Disney movies
puppymolly123 You are crazy!!!!
I enjoyed "Aladdin: King of Thieves" but that song about the forty thieves could have either been left out, or altered.
Its in or out, not altered. I honestly LOVED that song.
Cinderella 3 is the one disney sequel that deserves to canon.
And peter pan 2 Peter pan scared me as a kid but a I love the sequel It was so sad 😢
warren byrne it should be made into live action
Jesus Mosqueda cindy 3?
warren byrne trrt
Tuyurttiu
What about Return to Neverland?? I just saw it and is considerally better when you see it grown up lol (I didn't like it when I was little because I didn't get all the things that Jane was living)
Yeah I saw it now and it's good!
Should be on top of the list
It was released in theaters not a dvd sequel.
WHY THE HELL IS THE LION KING 2 NOT #1?!
I don't get it lol
Because it was weak
SlitheryPoppy4 i dont know i think its better than the movie for number 1
Sir HighRoller you are wrong. Plain and simple.
@Jack Williams lol cool you're wrong
Kronk's New Groove deserved to be on this one
Adakiias that was on the worst sequel list
Yes we know. He's saying that it should've been on this list and not the other one.
As a fan of the emporer's new groove, it really kinda sucked except for the scenes with Kuzko and Yzma.
Adakiias I agree very much 👌🏼
if they are her step sisters
that means that cinderella is also a step sister and in disney all step sisters are evil
THAT MEANS CINDERELLA IS EVIL
HEARD THAT
THAT WAS THE SOUND OF MINDS COLLECTIVELY BLOWING ACROSS THE INTERNET
Kimberley Rarallack I think your thinking wrong *Sigh* That was the worst theory I've ever heard
Not really. Only step sisters to the main protagonist are evil. Meaning Cindy is ok lol
Bradley Braniff But in Cinderella III Anastacia is the Main protagonist and Cinderella is her step sistet
Marius Schemmann Anastasia was the main character yes but she isn't the franchise's main character. Lol
Disney direct to DVD Sequels (I enjoy):
The Lion King 2
The Lion King 1 1/2
The Little Mermaid 2
101 Dalmatians 2
Return to Neverland
Same, but Return to Neverland was a direct to DVD, it's one of my favorites personally tho
I think it sucks that NO ONE is talking about the beauty and atmosphere of Bambi II
this is how it should have been.
1. Pooh's Grand Adventure the search for Christopher Robin
2. Lion King 2 Simba's Pride
3. Aladdin and the King of Thieves.
honestly pooh's Grand Adventure is the best Winnie the Pooh movie ever made it's also longer then all of the other Winnie the Pooh movies that went to theaters
I LOVED the Pooh movie when I was little, I was very surprised when they put it on the worst list. I hate Lion King 2 though, that was a bad movie.
Thomas Keller WatchMojo put Pooh's Great Adventure as an honorable mention on the worst list, which I think is total bullshit.
I totally agree I flipped out when they put in on honorable mention of worst Disney Squeals
So agreed with your Top 2!
What about Little Mermaid 2?
it sucked
Im Betmen nope
Im Betmen youre right it did suck, and im like one of the biggest Little Mermaid fan even the Little Mermaid prequel was better than 2 but still was garbage
Definitely one of their worst sequels
Skin Noir What's your point?
Wait wha? The Lion King 2 is the best straight-to-dvd sequel
CINDRELLA 4 WAS THE ONLY GODE SEQUEL FOR ME
I think it sucks that NO ONE is talking about the beauty and atmosphere of Bambi II
Yes
@Carlos Alberto Garrido González dude that’s very rude, if you don’t like the lion guard keep it to yourself
@Carlos Alberto Garrido González wasn’t very funny to me
The Lion King II, Bambi II, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, The Dalmatians II, I loved them all :"
I also like The Lion King 1/2, and I was dubtful about Brother Bear II, but I rewatched it the other day and seeing how other sequels turned out it's not that bad at all
Also Tinkerbell's movies look colourful and well made, I think I have actually watched the first one a couple of times
My favourite Disney direct to DVD sequel is An Extremely Goofy Movie
I like all the Tinkerbell films, it's a shame they are not more wildly appreciated.
DisneyFairies was one of Disneys best franchises, but they got rid of it because of Frozen. Very rude of Disney, cause I LOOOVE the fairies!
Why did they get rid of it because of Frozen? I always thought it was just as popular or almost as popular.
Some of them aren't that good, but a few I really like! It's just one of those things that are just a bit to girly for me like the Barbie movies
Disney did not stop Tinkerbell because of Frozen. DisneyToons temporarily stopped Tinkerbell because of some "conflict of story".
i watched the tinkerbell-movies and i liked them(but hey,i am probably the only one who *did* see a few barbie movies being a boy,so..... xD lolz)
I feel like Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure was absolutely shafted! Not only is it my favorite sequel, it's my favorite Disney movie period! Incredible music, good animation, good plot! Can't beat it!!
You know what was the best straight to dvd sequel? KRONKS NEW GROOVE
james howe That's what I'm talking about. They put it on the WRONG LIST
+KevinMcNoodles - I like that one too. My kids and I watch it all the time on Netflix. Though to be honest, I would watch it without my kiddos! - Cheers.
KevinMcNoodles hi, IDIOT
THE LION KING 1 AND A HALF IS AMAZING!! It was Lion King 3 in England! Watched it SO many times!!
I have so much love for Brother Bear 2. I love the duet song Feels Like Home
For me, Return of Jafar will always be #1, even if King of Thieves brought back Robin Williams.
Indeed, Castellaneta did a great job too.
And was in fact the first ever direct-to-video sequel of a Disney Classic, something never tried before.
nah it sucked without Robin Williams
The Lion King one and a half was definitely the best choice
It seems The Lion King movies shows their sequel and their prequel-within-the-predecessor remains superior.
I found it ironic, though, seeing as how some people thought that while it wasn't the worst movie ever, it wasn't exactly one of the best either.
Conner Rose I loved The Lion King II: Simba's Pride more.
They need to swap #9 with #1.
Douglas Roth Nope. Lion King 1 1/2 is better than Simba's pride.
Lion King 2 is better than 1 1/2. #SorryNotSorry
No. LK 2 really sucked.
Forever Malone No!!!
@ForeverMalone 100% Agreed
I am sorry I agree
Fucking Kovu hater...
Max's face when he scream XD
Peter Pan: Return to Neverland,anyone?
Return to Neverland had a theatrical release.
not according to disney
i was about to comment for this one, this was a good movie!
Bri Martinez i watch it in the cinema back in the day
Whomever said that Return to Neverland didn't have a theatrical release according to Disney, that's not true. I know this because my family and I actually went see it in theaters.
who else thought Aladdin's dad was hot? 😂
ME!!
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Gabrielle I i just watched it yesterday
Yes but Aladdin>Aladdin dad
Gabrielle I Ha same😊... (Shuffles feet) but totally not anymore😅
okay, here is a sequal idea: Another, Goofy tv cartoon series!
Set in current times!
Where the son of Goody can have his own family and the kids would be the lime light.
Or do it like Duck Tales reboot, and do redo everything like that.
Can we bring Bradley back...?😇
I loved the Lion King 1.5, Goofy Movie & Brother Bear 2 so Im happy they made the list :)
BTW I could have swore Tinker bell was in movies.......... but i may be forgetting :p lol
lion king 2 should have been number 1 and lion king 1 1/2 shouldn't of even been up there
PyrosgunReturns Wrong. Lion King 1 1/2 deserves to be number 1.
one and a half was better in my opinion
1 1/2 is better because it was humorous throughout the entire movie.
It was my favorite too
Lion King 2 wasn't in theaters :O
that's why it's about straight to DVD titles
I swear I remeber it being in theaters
+JVee Veneracion It was one of the first and due to it's success it resulted in the slew of hit or miss dvd sequels in the early 2000s
never said it wasn't. and i've seen more than half the straight to DVD stuff by Disney so i'm very familiar with them.
Mark Michel Over seas were do you think I live
Do please next Top 10 fairy tales we want to see adapted by disney
Good one! :)
That's a great idea!:)
+Zinervawyrm What is the name of thant story ?
Marco Quiroz Reyes I don't remember; just that it involved a Japanese princess and peasant who lived in the world above in the sky.
I love these straight to DVD sequels/prequel/interequel :) I wonder if they'll make a top 10 disney live-action versions of old animated movies like beauty & the beast, cinderella, and jungle book
Lion King 2 was my absolute favorite movie as a kid!
Insane Werewolf Mine too! I watched it multiple times a day for weeks when it came out.
It's still my all time favorite Disney movie. The soundtrack is fantastic, the characters are great, and Rafiki, my favorite character, gets his own song
lion king 2 should be number 1

Before I clicked on this video I said to myself if Bambi II and the Lion King II or not up here then this video would be an absolute outrage OUTRAGE! I love Cinderella 3 I thought it was very clever but speaking of Tinkerbell is it just me? or does everyone want to see Tinkerbell meet Peter Pan!!!!!!!!! like if you agree!
I couldn't stand Tinkerbell in Peter Pan. She was petty and mean. I wanted to see her meet the can of Bug Spray...
Or better yet, also used her magic to help Captain Hook end this reign of terror by the flying terrorist and his kidnapped minions, who are all suffering from 'Stockholm Syndrome'.
yeah
@@catjudo1 woah chill
Lion King 1 1/2 was my favorite as a child.
Davis Benson Same. Lion King forever!
Me too
The music in Bambi 2 and Brother Bear 2 was absolutely beautiful.
The voice for Kenai is a different actor.
CasuallySora
I had figured
+CasuallySora Why Phoenix didn't reprise Kenai remains a mystery. He was the only VA that didn't return. I do know that if he ever see Brother Bear Characters again like in a Kingdom Hearts game, Rutt and Koda will definetely have new VAs.
Amaterasu okami it was
Tbh the only parts I liked about Cinderella 2 was Anastasia’s love story and especially Cinderella forgives her and helps with her happily ever after.
Glad Lion King 2 was on here.
Just wish it was a little higher on the list.
It was amazing!
My favourite is the Lion King 2 and my second favourite is Bambi 2. Some of the ones you put on there aren't very good movies.
The Goofy movies are golden
My personal top 5 sequels
5. (tied) Lion King 1 1/2 and Bambi 2
4. The rescuers down under
3. Cinderella 3 A twist in time
2. Peter pan 2 return to Neverland
1. The lion king 2 simba's pride
Lion King 2 should have been higher
The lion king 1 1/2 and 2 were so cherished by me as a kid. So glad you guys included them on this list. Once in a while I randomly yell "What was that?! Quick before the hyena come!" Whenever anyone around me is scared.
I hear you. The words "That'll do, pig. That'll do." come out of my mouth with surprising frequency, particularly when I or my daughter do something right.
Lion King II was and always will be my favorite Disney sequel
Kiara x Kovu
Mine too!
Kiara x Kovu is awesome ship
I loved bambi 2 it was my favorite movie
Henry Monroe I couldn't agree more! That movie just doesn't receive enough credit. In my opinion it was actually better than the first one.
wether this sounded crazy, I actually even want a 3rd one about his life as a father!
canadavatar I do too!
Henry Monroe I like Bambi 2. It's one of my favorite movies.
Aladdin 4: Jafar Needs Glasses
This guy remembers.
lol I know that refrence
Omar Guillen omg XD
Omar Guillen Family Guy cutaway!
Ahem: Jafar May Need Glasses
Some straight to DVD Disney sequels that are definitely worth seeing are:
1. Bambi 2 (so captivating and beautiful graphics; sticking straight to the storyline and giving a good backstory of what happened after Bambi’s mom died. Touching songs too. The song, “There is Life,” is a real tearjerker and so beautiful)
2. Brother Bear 2 (no reason; just love the songs and I also love the backstory behind it. Kenai actually had a childhood “girlfriend.”)
3. An Extremely Goofy Movie (Very comical; not as bad, although it would’ve been better if it continued with Roxanne, but beggars can’t be choosers.)
4. Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (The ending is very sad, but don’t worry, Stitch recovers; it is very comical and stays with the storyline, although it went downhill with Stitch! The Movie and Leroy and Stitch.)
5. That one probably has to be my least favorite, but other than that, all the other movies are awesome.)
That’s pretty much it.
Cinderella 3 made me love Anastasia as a character.
I'm sorry but Brother Bear II was amazing
ashton liebermann by far the best movie of this list.
daso so
I wouldn't agree.
Lion King 2 is on this list...
ashton YES MY CHILDHOOD
Sorry but it wasn't
Aladdin and the King of Thieves was easily the #1 Disney DVD sequel.
Lion king 2 should've been First
I think it sucks that NO ONE is talking about the beauty and atmosphere of Bambi II
Yes
