This list reminded me how much I really don't care much for the "modern pop" versions of these songs. Putting them back to back is like comparing the roof of the Sistine Chapel to that drawing of a house you did when you were 5. There's no competition.

#1 is gosh darn right. Nailed it. That song is the epitome of everything that Walt Disney became famous for and everything that the Disney company stands for today. It's a timeless classic.
I actually preferred "Part of Your World" out of all the Little Mermaid songs because of it's sweet sound and progression, but I can definitely see why they went with "Unda da Sea!"

I was disappointed too. While "Go the Distance" from "Hercules" is my favorite Disney song, "Out There" from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is my second favorite. The majority of the songs from "Hunchback" are excellent. That movie is so over-looked, it's pathetic.

Too bad. You only considered the ones that were nominated for something, and The bells of Notre Dame? And Hellfire? They didn't get a nomination, however their quality are unquestionable.
Hunchback of Notre Dame is definitely one of the more underrated disney films, but Fantasia definitely has the best music, but that's kind of cheating since its almost all music.

lion king is my favorite disney movie... best story, best songs, best characters, and best villain with some of the best actors to make great voice-acting in this spectacular. Mathew Broderick, Nathan Lane, James Earl Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Cheech Marin, Robert Guillaume, Jeremy Irons... heck even Mr. Bean is in it.
I completely agree. No Disney movie will ever be better than The Lion King in an accolade IMO.
