One thing I do love and need to point out, is that the editor of the video put the character and movie right on the screen! A little common sense, and reading, will show you a few things. 1. movie title. (Tangled) 2. character (Mother Gothel) 3. Google the songs from that movie, and you'll basically be able to sort out the song sung by that specific character.

Okay but he might like gaston because he was willing to fight a "blood-thirsty" beast in an attempt to "protect" the village and frollo hates magic and what's more magic than a talking walking beast who supposedly eats children, AND he hates magic in order to kinda protect the other people in a way he doesn't like the ruffians with the normals basically.

Who's Lefou?
I like the Lefou part. When he interrupts Frollo's dramatic monologue about his emotional experiences and the difficult choice between desire and principles with an intonation like: "Oh, this is, of course, all very interesting, but Gaston...", I had a good laugh. Omg, it's my favorite)
The final part where all the villains sing simultaneously gives me chills every time, holly cow. They even managed to make Ursula and Scar look like a hot power couple while Facilier and Jafar are like goofy allies that never seem to agree on anything.
I love how Scar just takes Frollo’s hat and starts playing with it. He’s a lion, and doesn’t understand how religions work.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: villains ALWAYS get the best songs. It makes me want to write villain songs for my non-villain characters because I have yet to hear a villain song that's a flop
Honestly though lol I mean, non villains can get some great songs, but villain songs alway deliver and satisfy without fail.
I mean, Hans in Frozen didn't get a villian song, so there's that.

And because it is really liberating and enjoyable. Usually most people don't go around being rude, cruel, bloodthirsty or arrogant and scheming against others in their everyday lives so when you get to be the villain you can do all these without being misunderstood. I think we all need a dose of meanness now and then but since we cannot use it in real life without really hurting others, playing the villain in a fictional story satisfies that need for some meanness. 😁

Everyones talking about Frollo but nobody's talking about the tiny details each villain would do when others are singing like Scar attempting to eat his tooth necklace and Dr. Facilier yeeting cards at the screen. Plus that fact that sometimes they intrude on others space during songs an just join in, like Ursula joining with Scar and Facilier taking half of Jafar's song. I love villains and always wonder who they would react with each other.
Scar - Wrath, revenge on his brother for perceived slights
Jafar - Envy, desires power that others have, vizier->sultan->genie
Gaston - Pride, thinks he is the best even over other people's prefences and tastes
Frollo - Lust, wants Esmeralda... enough said
Gothel - Gluttony, uses the power of the flower so much that her own life depends on access to it
Ursula - Greed, pandering to the greed of others, giving them what they want for a price, wants to rule the oceans
Facilier - Sloth, wants money for his own prosperity, farms out actual work to his friends on the other side, can't pay the price when the bill comes due

Even tough it has been four years, this is still one of the best Hollens videos I've ever seen. That humorous character play with Whitney is perfect for this medley. Peter and Whitney fits so incredibly well together. Both in voices and in how it seems you had fun together. I just want more :D

If there is ever a live action of The Hunchback Of Notre Dame, I would hope Peter Hollens get a call for Claude Frollo just because of his voice. When Peter Hollens sings as Claude from the hunchback of Norte dome I get chills. The passion in every word sung and his actions elicits such emotion. I can practically feel his passion/obsession with Esmarelda.

I love how the characters interact with each other!
It took awhile to make sure each of the characters lined up!!! Fun challenge that paid off :-)
I especially liked the part where Gaston throws his gloves, and LeFou is like "this screen wraps?"

yes I loved that too and I loved how they all portrayed their character through out the whole thing. I also love that you included mother gothel and frolo, don't see those two very often. Her voice was awesome in mother knows best. and I'll add to the list of people asking for a full version of hellfire. underrated song and movie that. love this vid.

Given he’s singing about Esmeralda (in a rather questionable manner), you can’t blame them. The other villains either want power or are arrogant and want some form of control. Frollo literally wants gypsies to die, yet finds himself interested by one. At least that’s what I remember how it was. Haven’t seen these classics in a while
That ending was the most beautiful thing I’ve heard in a while… also I love how they stay in character even when they are not singing it’s hilarious!
In some way, I imagine Frollo being the quiet kid of all the villain. Being teased because he's religious, serious and somewhat thin, but when he start singing, every one see he is the most crazy of them all
I know peter has a fuller version of Hellfire but there’s something so passionate and intense about the little snippet we get here or is that just me?
