Indians hv not forgotten. They were repeatedly fed nonsense by McCauley, his successors & Marxist Indian historians from primary school for over 200 yrs to this date. Our history books still teach the same f'ing colonial trash & nothing has changed to set right the wrongs in spite of nationalistic BJP being in power for 10+ continuous yrs.

Even if we're reminded of our glorious history, how does that help people living today live a better life? The one thing we should learn from history is how we should live now. Live with dignity, honesty and discipline. We don't see much of it happening. This should change fast. We surely can bring back our ancient glory if we can work together.

There Must be Fundamental Factual Correction, which is the Ancient India, Must be integrally associated with the survival of the indigenous Sanatan Hindu Civilisational cultural heritage. The modern 21st Indians are inclusive of various foreign Abrahamic(Judaism, Christianity and Islam) religious ideological cultures. Therefore, the indigenous Hindus of India (Bharat), Must Wake Up and acquire in-depth knowledge and glorious Civilisational Hindu Culture, before the invasions of Foreign Abrahamic (Judaism, Al Christianity and Islam) with Nefarious intentions to supplant the indigenous sanatan Hindu Culture. Although, several attempts of annihilation of the indigenous sanatan Hindu Culture, was futile over nearly thousand years of foreign interference and influence in the Indian sub continent. Therefore All the Sanatan Hindus Must Acquire the Factual Historical information of the Ancient India’s Glorious Civilisational Culture, and pass as well as educate the future generations of Sanatan Hindus. What is Hinduism?
      +++++++++++++++
I have long pondered on what constitutes this so called religion that sweepingly generalises the 'Indian' people and sitting on their head (as cultural hegemony) and have come up with some conclusions ....
A group of priest from the Zoroastrian religion (known as Aryans) came to 'India' with their Avestan language and fire rituals and later created some slogans to form the Oral Vedas which was never in written form (modern Sanskrit) until after the 5th century AD.
These priest learnt the principles of the Samana tradition( the mother of Jainism and Buddhism) that originated in the Indus Valley Civilization and thrived all over the sub continent with Tamizh and started incorporating(stealing)it into their already existent vaiteegam (senseless fire ritual) and produced the Upanishad (later even the Bhagavad-Gita and Epics were hijacked) and became vegetarians.
For a solid philosophical footing which they needed in a highly philosophized Tamizh (Samana Palli language just as Prakrit is Jain and Pali is Buddhist) infused land(Sanatan Dharma- people's religiosity)about the 8th century scribes like Adi Sankara came up with Advaita logic that distorted the original Buddhist(Sunya-Void) thoughts and produced a dichotomical nonsense which did not last the test of time.
Later they took up the Tantric Samana Tamizh tradition about the 10th century and put forth the bakti methodology (blind surrender). This was inspired by the Christian tradition also. Bakti was based on subtle erotism and appealed to the masses(like cinemas). The high Samana Tantra philosophical basis was ruined for the newly conjectured Saiva and Vainava cult of the wretched puranic tales (porn stories).
This is the history of the Priestly class(Brahmins) that still retain their priesthood in the agamic temples(lifeless stone worship) that held sway through the bakti movement from the 10th century onwards. The consecutive non-Tamizh rulers( Brahmin admixtured race such as Vaduga Telugus) firmly rooted the new found 'Hindu' religion with its caste (karmic birth) institution (twisted from the Samana four occupational make-up of society aka Farmers, Merchants, Rulers, Philosophers) with the insidious brahmin malicious agenda of Non-Dharmic segregation (untouchability) which the colonial British gave the general name by which sealing the new found religion hence the Brahmanic hegemony as Hindooism....

About 10 years ago, I watched an American university lecture series on the history of India. The first 3 were the best. It talked about where the people came from who settled on the subcontinent. The Indus Valley Civilization was an eye opener. Researchers believe that civilization lived the last 800 years of their existence without war or violence. In so many, many ways it was profoundly advanced. The other take away were the records of the Roman Empire's treasurers who complained to their leaders how much money they were sending to India. It is then one realizes how rich and vibrant that subcontinent was. It is no surprise from my perspective that it is rising again. We should be taught these lessons early in our schools.

The book provides a well-articulated historical perspective, yet it overlooks one of India’s most significant modern contributions to the world: the global spread of yoga. In the current and previous centuries, yoga has transcended geographical and cultural boundaries, reaching not only the East but virtually every part of the world. So widespread is its influence that yoga today often feels less distinctly Indian. However, I believe that by the end of this century, yoga’s influence will deepen further as it expands to include broader spiritual practices beyond asanas, pranayama, and meditation. This evolution will likely solidify India’s cultural and spiritual impact on a global scale

Please see Google to see what the Roman called India, Greeks called India "Indika chore", also when Christoph Columbus discovered west Indies inlands he called it " Indies " because they were west of India, also when he landed in the Americas he named the natives as " Indians ", so all indigenous populations are called native Indians not Hindus, because at that time trade was important and people like Vasco - De - Gama were in search of sea routes for trade to India. How ludicrous to called that land were Roman gold was traded for silk and luxury goods by its religious affinities.Even later East India company merchants traded with India and became rich, Mercantile attitudes were primarily. Before writing a comment like that on a pain - staking researcher book, be wise enough to be clear in your concept.

*Buddhism was a copy of Jainism.*
At that time, they all knew Tirthankar was about to be born but didn't knew specifically who! Therefore many claimed to be Tirthankar including Buddha. But we all now know Mahaveera was the last Tirthankar.
Buddha acted different and tried to preach his own principles which is 95% same as Jainism.
Buddhism tried very hard to go against Jainism and successful in Ashoka. Rest all of the Mauryan including Chandragupta and Chanakya was Jain.
They made it a competition and sole purpose of Buddhism was to spread, spread and spread competiting Jainism and Hinduism.

Who were the main deities of Indian mythology found in and around the archaeological sites around the fertile crescent? If it is only Buddhist figures, does that mean parallels were already drawn between religions of ancient world by thinkers and philosophers of that time.

    1. Preservation and Adaptation
Integration of Pre-Islamic Practices: In many parts of Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei, Islam has adapted to local customs and traditions rather than erasing them entirely. For example, cultural practices like shadow puppet theater (wayang kulit) in Indonesia often incorporate Hindu epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, even in Islamic-majority areas.
Cultural Tolerance: Some leaders and communities actively preserve the pre-Islamic heritage as part of their national identity. For instance, the Indonesian national emblem Garuda is derived from Hindu mythology.
    2. Challenges to Pre-Islamic Heritage
Iconoclasm and Fundamentalism: At times, certain Islamic movements, particularly those with a more fundamentalist outlook, have sought to minimize or erase pre-Islamic heritage. Examples include calls to restrict or reinterpret Hindu and Buddhist iconography or rituals seen as incompatible with Islamic beliefs.
Destruction of Sites: There have been instances where ancient Hindu or Buddhist temples have faced neglect, vandalism, or repurposing due to pressures to align more closely with Islamic values. However, these actions are often criticized domestically and internationally.
    3. Political and Ideological Dimensions
National Identity: In countries like Indonesia, the state ideology Pancasila promotes religious pluralism, which has allowed the coexistence of Islam with other faiths, including Hinduism. However, political shifts can influence how openly past cultural influences are embraced or suppressed.
Islamization Policies: Some governments and political leaders in Southeast Asia promote Islamization as a way of consolidating power or fostering unity among the Muslim majority. This can sometimes result in policies or narratives that downplay the region’s Hindu or Indian past.
    4. Silent Transformation
Education and Narratives: In some cases, historical narratives taught in schools may emphasize the Islamic history of the region while downplaying or framing the Hindu and Buddhist periods as merely a precursor to the "true" Islamic identity.
Cultural Substitution: Over time, Islamic practices and symbols might replace pre-Islamic ones in daily life, festivals, and art forms. This is often not through overt destruction but through gradual cultural shifts.
    5. Coexistence and Revival
Revival Movements: In some areas, there are active efforts to preserve and even revive pre-Islamic traditions as part of cultural heritage, often led by non-Muslim minority communities or secular organizations.
Tourism and Global Influence: The economic benefits of preserving Hindu and Buddhist heritage sites for tourism (like Borobudur and Prambanan in Indonesia) encourage their protection, even in predominantly Islamic contexts.
