No doubt at all about Sh Jaishankar’s capabilities and performance. That being said, he couldn’t have done what has done without the macro vision and backing of PM Modi. By the time he took over in 2019, the basic fundamental changes ( eg in west Asia) were already made. Dr Jaishankar took it to the next level. Point is that there were very capable individuals since the last 75 years but they could do little since the leaderships did not have the vision, put self imposed shackles on how India dealt with the world - a classic example being our reluctance to deal with Israel- , Our illogical suspicion of the US since the 50’s which led the US to engage with and back Pakistan, etc etc. So full marks, once again, to Dr Jaishankar with the realization that the leadership of PM Modi has played the key role.

Knowledgeable and experienced Foreign Minister would be remembered for decades ahead who had taken India to the next level.
He had brought a behavioral change in the country. Many people are talking about foreign policies and have attributed a lot in bringing positive mindset of people who are settled abroad.
India will remember his contribution for decades ahead.

Thanks to Trudeau's expert diplomacy, India is fast-tracking its border settlement with China. With that out of the way, India has a clear shot at a permanent seat on the UNSC-especially with the U.S., U.K., and France cheering from the sidelines.
In 1960, Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai proposed a compromise to resolve the India-China border dispute, suggesting that China would recognize India's claim to the eastern sector (Arunachal Pradesh) if India acknowledged Chinese control over Aksai Chin in the western sector. This "package deal" aimed to settle the boundary by dividing the contested areas between the two countries, with China prioritizing Aksai Chin for its strategic link between Tibet and Xinjiang. However, Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru rejected the proposal, as he was unwilling to return any territory gained by lines drawn by its former colonial master.
The U.S. maintained its embargo on China during the Great Chinese Famine (1959-1961) discouraging other nations from sending food, while millions died of starvation.
Confident that China is weakened and will collapse, India implemented its "Forward Policy", expecting a weak Chinese response.
If this border issue had been resolved in 1960, the past 64 years of mutual suspicion and distrust might have been avoided. China does not view any country as an adversary and is open to collaboration and partnership with all nations.
Anywhere in the world, if there is a border dispute, it is usually the result of a line drawn by an Englishman; if it is an internal dispute, it is usually the US fueling it with diplomatic, financial, covert, and military support. Difference in implementation of divide and conquer strategy.

GPS pictures have all the evidence in minute details what happened at the border disputes and who started the killings. But because of BRICS, and the effort of Putin, India now has come to its senses and hopefully it will stop this each foot in 2 boats. It wants to be be in the Western bloc and yet want to be in BRICS. You simply cannot have your cake and eat it. Talk less, work harder, be fairer and less emotional and natiomalistic, then India will do well

Accordingvto Jaishankar..India has achieved one of the top country position in science, technology, development, etc.
May I ask him how many Indian students move to developed world as compared to developed country students seeking admissions in India.
Another question is about foreign policies. Decisions taken by the Indian ruling team in Bangladesh, Maldives, Afghan8stan, Iran , j&K and towards Pakistan were nightmare for India. Chinese President met Modi during BRICS on request of Indian PM with no concrete outcome. Chinese are clever and occupied several thousand Km² of Indian territory.
See what happening in Canada. Congratulations to Jaishankar and his Boss.

India is not their big brother, as they dont like to see india as Big brother ... inspite of that , Maldives, Srilanka , Afganistan, Bangladsh until its taken over by gangs ... all were helped in time of need... OPEN YOUR EYES..

Under the leadership of Modi and Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, India’s global standing has entered a precarious phase.
Their approach has not only strained long-standing relationships with neighboring countries but has also isolated India on the world stage. Diplomatic tensions with China and Pakistan have escalated, while ties with traditional allies in the region, such as Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, have been weakened through what some describe as a heavy-handed and nationalistic foreign policy. Additionally, India’s alignment on global issues has sometimes diverged from the non-aligned, balanced stance that once earned it respect across varied international blocs.
Arguably, India’s global influence is being compromised, leaving it vulnerable in an increasingly multipolar world. In an era that demands diplomatic finesse, India's recent foreign policy decisions may have done more harm than good, putting the country in a more isolated and potentially perilous position than it faced in previous decades.
