George: Railways are no good! Turn them into roads! Pull 'em up! Turn them into roads! Railways are no good! Turn them into roads! Pull 'em up! Turn them into roads! Oliver: so you choose, the 'wrong way' instead of 'the great western way'. Let's the fight start.
Narrator: Out on Duck's Branch Line, The Little Western, Oliver was taking some passengers. As he approached the level crossing, he saw George blocking his way. Oliver: Let me through. George: You'll just have to wait. Oliver: There's no time to wait. I need to get my passengers through. George: Then they'll have to wait too.
Just saw the movie last night it was amazing. Easily the best railway movie ever made. Very amusing and quite amazing with Thunderbolt steaming along. But this scene was my absolute favourite 👍👍
I guess it was pretty obvious that train would win this why well because 1932 GWR 14xx class loco weighs 41 tons and along with the coach and brake van which probably weigh both 20 tons which means the train would weigh 81 tons in total while the 1904 avling & porter steam roller only weighs 10 tons so there the train is much heavier then the steam roller and was able push that roller aside with ease those two crooks should've thought of that before bribing the driver so they'll have pay for all that damage thanks to their stupidity.
Bruh, and this is how I thought fights where like when I was younger, used to always think I'd win, cos I'd be in the train, you'd be right, because I would win! XD
"Ah, you're insured, ain't ya?" had me in tears 😂
Easily one of the best scenes in the movie.
I couldn’t agree more

for some reason i can hear 1401 is saying "ha take that bloody steam roller"
I like the way the bank clerk tips his hat to the engine driver as he walks past the cab just like how you'd thank the bus driver today.
“Money is the curse of all modern sports”
“Oh, a foul! A foul! A palpable foul!”
Stanley Holloway was brilliant as Mr Valentine in this, easily one of the best characters
Oliver vs George
Note to self: if ever I witness a duel between a Steam Roller and a 1400, my money will be on the autotank.
100%
I love this movie so much and also the 14xx is one of my favorite engines
HEY I’LL GET YOU FOR THAT

Very interesting I like it only if it was an episode
Thomaslover!!!! This is not Thomas and Friends!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@rivermazzone3570 You missed the if, bonehead. "IF"! I-F. Good lord.
Oliver: Alright. You've asked for it. Have a taste of this. *Rams into George*
@@NintendoNate1theE2TankEngine Thank you for explaining my little comment script.
I guess that scene was the inspiration for the NWR Tales episode “Don’t Mess with Oliver”.
I’m surprised the buffers aren’t even damaged.
1401: I made it out with just a scratch.
If this was Thomas & Friends it looks like George & Oliver got into a fight 😂
I know right xD
Thomas isn't real
@@memahselfni "if" it was
Yep
I'll second that big time.
POV: NWR no. 11 “Oliver” has a confrontation with a steamroller owned by a local road work company
George?

My ultimate goal in life to be as eccentric in my old age as Mr Valentine
The Duel of the Century
You know,it's awesome that the Steamroller still exists today.
Very true. And with the Titfield Thunderbolt events that some railways do the roller does make appearances
Its about time someone uploaded this scene, well done. :)
You are very welcome! I love your Gmod Steamroller video! Even though it’s a old model now. It was really cool
I love this movie so much

Very true mate! I agree!
My favorite part was the HEY I'LL DO YOU FOR THAT!
Brillaint film 😁😁😁😁
The Titfield Thunderbolt Movie Oliver The Great Western Engine

If you were the steam engine you’d be surprised on what happens to that engine near the end of the film. I think the steam roller suits you lol
@@Simba-1996 Eh, well again, I haven't seen the movie for a couple years... nvm.
Oliver vs george
Why does this seem like a weird Disney movie?
Probably its age but its actually by Ealing Studios.
What part of British Railways did this take place on?
Filming was largely carried out near Bath, Somerset, on the Camerton branch of the Bristol and North Somerset Railway
@@Simba-1996 ah I see.
@@onetrackmind3558I'll say this, wherever this was held. It certainly wasn't done, the Great Western way.
@@joeleboeuf lol
What will the Fat Controller say when he hears about this?
I daresay he'll have some stern words from both George, and Oliver.
20th comment!
