i have over 300+++ all dug from ground over the years , when my home was robbed i had these dimes under shelf by pc and they missed the book full , have a few with double bands along with knowing soil does have effect on surface i doubt that they would be graded very high ??? mercury dimes have always been my fav coin to collect !

Oh ... I wanted to ask if "over date" coins are getting more common? I have several from different years and denominations. I have the Mercury 42/1 that's authentic, and I have the 1996/5 that I just found in pocket change, but my mom collected several, including a 1935/4 and several 1945/4's ... To anyone reading this, these coins are brown and circulated, but almost all are AU60 or better and I have photos to show it
I do have Mercury dimes from 1917 to. To 1928. 1935to1939 1943/1944/1941\1942 And just about each date. I have rows of them, not 1 or 2 .I have lots of them. I need lots of help to know what to do with them.
I got like six of them but not in anything like that yeah when I got them there was a coin show in the nearby Mall and I went to a grocery store and use the self check-out line and that's where they came from do you think do you think coin shows put some old coins around in the businesses to promote the show ( yes I went back through the line and bought a candy bar to see if I can get more but that was it) :)

Huh First one! Lol. Ive been stacking mercury dimes forever. Actually got one in return change at Crispy Creams in Myrtle Beach on vacation this summer. Most are for stacking..but I picked up a shiny 42 yesterday which was eye blinding lol. Great timing J n B on this video. I know it's more than the melt value I bought it for. Doubt it's worth more than the Porsche my Wife and daughter want! Lol. Thank you as always and hope things are settling down for you both n puppy. God Bless

I have a huge question.... I've been collecting for years I finally got my collection looked at by my local coin store. He told me I have a 1964 Kennedy half sms I guess it wasn't supposed to be done that year but I have one he told me to get it slabbed n an a auction. I would like to show it to someone I trust however. It's a weird color kinda pink orange around the edges n the number 4 looks kinda weird to me. Idk.... He swears it worth a load but idk it's not in the best shape. Can I send u some pics
Believe it or not, I think the mercury dime I found in my front yard with my detector is a 42! Don't think it's in as good of condition as the one you mention here though... =( Absolutely love the design of the coin. =)
thinking of old dimes that were silver just think how much money the phone companies wood of had today if they just Bank the silver and all the cities from the parking meters our taxes would be lower. :)
