I became a Lions season ticket holder in 2021 and was at the Vikings win in 2021. I screamed like a ten year old school Girl at that moment!! I will never forget that win!!!

Agree. This pod is amazing. These guys know the game & have genuine conversations with real NFL QBs in a media world where that usually isn’t possible without having to carry some other message than the shield.
We Lion's fans know exactley why Jared ran over and hugged Dan. It's because the team and the fans were starving for a win, then to finally get it. It's a huge releif and endorphin rush. It was that moment I knew Goff was the right QB for us.
As a Rams fan I loved Goff . If the lions make the S.B I hope they win.
Jaerd's story fits the Lions come-up story. It has been really cool to watch and root for.

1:49 players and other NFL guys like him so much because of his demeanor and the way he operates outside of the field. He’s a genuine good dude. Period and people like that. I have watched the Detroit lions play for a long time. I remember watching Leon Hart play quarter back. this team is amazing. There defense and offense execute plays with lethal precision.
Jared Goff is like the perfect example of what Detroiters want in a player. Dude is mentally and physically tough, he is a consummate professional but he does not take any shit and god damn does he love his team. He also has talked so much love about this city and if he is able to bring Detroit a championship no joke, we will build him a statue

Last Year when they started 1-6 the most Lions Fans wanted Goff to go but I knew that he would turn around and click in our Offense!He was a Nr.1 Overall Pick,not for Fun!!He had some Problems at the Rams but he was a real good QB there,too!Talent was ever there and I knew at one Time he would be A Game Changer!I saw in his Eyes that he is happy here in Detroit,more than at the Rams!There he had too much pressure on his shoulders!But here at the Beginning no one has expected something and that was better for him and so he could improve in his Game and Now I think he is very satisfied to be here!
Great podcast! This is an interesting year ahead for Goff and the Lions. I think the team is tough as snot and they are going to win a lot of games this year. People get on Goff, but I think he's done a fantastic job at QB for the Lions.

Last year, the Lions were within one score of all but one of their first 6 losses, and they were in those games... just had bad breaks. This year's success wasn't unexpected to me, but it sure is exciting!

Jared is the better qb than Stafford so feeling better about Jared since we traded for him.
Not so fast. He's got a lot to do to catch up to a guy with numerous top 12 all time stats (passing yards #11, passing yards per game #2, passing touchdowns #12, game winning drives #7), most of them while playing for (at the time) the worst organization in football. I'm going to need a few more years to make that call, even if I am happy to have Goff at QB.

@@theqbroom When Buffalo first signed him I rolled my eyes. Probably the most wrong I have been about a player that has come to Buffalo. As bad as the record was from 2000-2020, Fitz, JFred Jackson, Stevie Johnson, Kyle Williams, Brian Moorman, and a whole bunch more made it easy to root for them. Plus, when Stanford Routt (who I am sure is a fine person) dropped a potential interception I got to say he couldn't handle The Amish Rifle's load, which still makes me giggle.
Jared Is a super bowl winning quarterback with a coach that got common sense. N one of the best humans being,s on the planet. If McVey wanted to make a change make it u don't do what he did to a man who has kindness n interior. Just saying one of them loud mouth quarterback he wouldn't of handled it that way. Just saying.

Great interview. Jared's a dude. I'll take a QB with his "limited" physical skills and his high football intelligence and feel for the game over a guy who can run like a cheetah or throw 60-yard bombs with "limited" intelligence and feel. Loved the Stafford trade at the time and love it even more now.

I’m starting to lean towards even feeling better about Goff over Josh Allen. Allen clearly offers more in the run game and maybe a higher ceiling arm talent wise. But last year and last night he’s been too risky and making some bad decisions with the ball that negate from his overall talent.
Yeah, Allen lost me last night. I never liked him that much but could see that he was good in the run game, a powerful runner for a QB. Last night he looked awful and pretty much single-handedly handed the Jets the win despite Rogers getting hurt. Goff has to rely on his arm and his smarts, and he does it well.
