One cylinder is enough, and it is easy to maintain.
In reality fast enough for commuting and urban riding. Probably very light consumption, too.
Awesome little bike. As you said fast enough for commuting and the city.
However I live in France and I own a S1000R which I love but I love my license even more so, I took this sexy 300 R bish on a road trip to Amsterdam and it was just awesome. I worked on her a bit so she is about 46 HP atm and she goes at about 182kph gps /190+- dash which is enough in Europe if you value your license. When I go to Germany I always take the S1000R tho lmfao.
So I'd say put a little work on her and you get a bike that can actually be a lot more than what you paid for ;) + she is 10 times sexier than the MT.
@@ashyswami1857 hi , could you tell me What modifications have you done to it if you dont mind? Thanks
@ Lets get it Hey mate, sorry I'm not able to describe all the work we've done because English isn't my 1st language and I don't know how to translate the technical stuff but I have a home made full exhaust, air filters and we've worked on air intakes + injection (ECU in English?) and more.
I also made the bike much lighter (+- 6kg), I went crazy and bought carbon wheels, lithium battery, aluminium everywhere I could etc...
Hope it helped and sorry I couldn't describe it better.
@@ashyswami1857 thanks for responding, i really apreciate the information, i might buy this bike. Thanks again
@@ashyswami1857 Salut :)
Merci !
I love low capacity machines they're sort of silly and plucky but after going for a longer ride (the most I'd done to that point was small trips 70 miles or so) on a 125, i realised i need something with a bit more go and this has come along i love it and must have one.
This is a nice upgrade from a 125!
160km/h is more than enough for a 285cc single cylinder neo cafe bike.
i like this bike tho. In my country this bike have the150/250/650/1000 variation. the 250cc one can also can reach 160kmh+-. great video and great ride from u.
Taking the strong headwind into account, this looks a little bit better than my 2016 CBR300R. Probably due to the lower weight
There is a video on YT showing a top speed of 165km/h. I think most of the time I wouldn't go above 140km/h. :) Don't know how you ride on your CBR300R?
Top speed is not a function of weight. It is a function of horsepower vs. air resistance.
Lower weight improves the acceleration and braking, but not top speed.
The horsepower is slightly higher (0.5hp) than the earlier 300 engines. Remaining differences are likely due to aero and any differences in the slope between different top speed attempts.
@@SydneySlowRider It wont improve breaking, instead handling will be improved.
@@devakritbagchi2787 Well you clearly never paid attention to a single physics class in high school, did you?
@@devakritbagchi2787 Try slowing down a 30m-long truck using the same brakes as a bicycle is equipped with, and then try to tell me that weight doesn't matter for braking.
Excellent video. To the point. No drama !!!
Thank you. Short and to the point.
2022 duke 390,cb300r,mt03, which one do you think i should buy?
Tough choice... I like all of them. If you ride a lot on the highway I think I would recommend the MT-03 as it has two cylinders (I'm guessing you don't mean the old 660cc one). Otherwise probably the 390 Duke yet I did love the CB300R too... so... tough choice.
Even with an 'optimistic' speedometer that's an honest 145 kph / 90 mph at a minimum. Insane for 286 cc.
Pretty neat engine.
with a 15t sprocket i increase GPS speed by 10 kmh! and make the speedometer much more accurate, stock final ratio is stupidly short, put a 15t instead of stock 14t is the best mod ever on this motorcycle.
Does that affect mileage?
@@mayukhsharma8465 probably a little bit better but since now tachometer is much more accurate i dont think trip computer show the difference, but mileage still awesome as usual on this motorcycle, i can get easly 32-33km/l or 75-77 mpg and mostly on mountain roads because i live in the middle of the alps.
@Redrum no, is like 4 hours away
You just made me want it now..thanks
You're welcome. ;)
160 kph, enough to have a fun time!
try going over 130 on a naked bike... not that much fun

Seems about right. I hit 100mph on my 300r and it maybe had 1-2mph more before it would hit the limiter.
Good quality!

Per 250tpm of 500tpm.
Hartstikke bedankt man.

Does 100mph consistently it's good enough especially for a starter
@lazer tag you reach redline at 169kmh but only in downhill is possible
sustained speed over 130 is not practical
Stock exhaust ? Sounds really good.
As for the speed, on one hand I'd like it to be that 10% faster and get there quicker too but, realistically, do we really need it on a naked bike with virtually no wind protection ? Doubtful. I'm actually considering this as my next bike (riding a 150 cc Yamaha right now) and it's growing on me I have to say. Hesitating between this and the Mt 03 / R3 and the Z400 / Ninja 400.
To anyone who has ridden or owns this bike: How comfy is it in terms of suspension and the seat ? I hate narrow, thin seats and stiff suspensions.
Yes, stock exhaust. Riding a naked bike most of the time is fun up till 120-130 km/h. They lowered the maximum speed during daytime over here from 130 km/h to 100 km/h.
Show. Tomara que venha pro Brasil
On speedo CBR250R easily goes above 160kmph. Aerodynamics.

What is this bike's most comfortable speed?
120-130km/h or so. My previous answer was wrong, though this was regarding the 125cc. :)
Your response was faster than 105 km/h! Thank you MotoSnax.
see my updated message. ;)
From the thumbnail I mistook it for the 125, which I did also ride. :) But yes, big difference with the 125.
Thank you. 60mph vs 75mph (in USA) is a big difference regarding "cruising" speed. The seat and exhaust are a bummer. Let's see if they put that motor in a different body, like a TU250X or a mini CB1100.
The rider is 50kg with all gear?😉
More like almost double with all gear.
@@MotoSnax that's great news, as I'm 100kg and thinking about this bike, as KTM 390 Duke has sow many issues 👍
for me it is good enough 85 miles in a freeway to travel
Good enough yes.
What about vibrations at high speed, Does CB300R have vibration issues or engine heating up in city traffic?
For a single cylinder engine, not that much vibrations! I have written a review about it. It is in Dutch, but on top of the page is a translator to your own language. It won't translate 1 on 1, but you will probably understand most of my writing. www.startersmotor.nl/merken/honda/cb300r/cb300r.php
@@MotoSnax Thank You.
I don't know if it will go that fast with fat ass on the thing, but I maybe wrong. I can't wait to get it. I love the design of this bike, and I love the fact that is a chance that I can get the bike if I save hard enough.
I am no lightweight either and I managed to do the speed in the video.
Can the bike hit 130 easily for smooth ride or we really need to push the throttle? Im finding a stable bike which can easily handle 130 with no pain
It can do 130km/h, but I'd rather pick a bike with a bigger engine.. preferably 400cc+ twin cylinder.
Thing moves bro
You should see the CB650R!
How many teeth on rear sprocket? 34 or 36?
I have no idea. I rode this bike three years ago. Perhaps other people can tell you.
The Benelli TNT 300 gos up to 180 I belive, is heavier but way more cheaper. Im thinking of buying this one or buy an oldie and modify it. In Argentina its pretty much the same money.
I have a video of the TNT 300 on my channel. The speedometer is way off and it was the worst bike I ever rode. I'd go for the Honda CB300R any day of the week if I had to choose between the two.
MotoSnax thanks for the answer. I have a friend who had the TnT and he was happy with it. Dont you think its too expensive?. But the design is gorgeous.
Maybe I got a bad model, but on the other hand, I have had experience with over 140 motorcycles. I think it is way too expensive. Over here you could get the Kawasaki Z400 for 500 euro's more. The Z400 is superior to the TNT 300 in all ways possible. The TNT300 design is stolen from Kawasaki's ER-6N. But Benelli's 502C is also a copy of the Diavel. I'd rather pay a bit more and have Japanese quality. The Japanese know how to build bikes (and cars). Maybe I am a bit biased, but I have seen the quality of 100% Chinese bikes and it is just not worth the money. I know the Chinese can make great bikes, but they cost a lot more. BMW C400X motorscooter is made by Loncin. It costs a lot but that motorscooter feels premium but also has the quality control / assurance of BMW Germany.
@@MotoSnax Sorry I meant that the CB300 R was too expensive for what it has to offer, it cost the same than the MT 03 and is Japaneese aswell. However, like I told you I was thinking to buy it anyways. That or buy a bike from the 80s or 90s and make it cafe racer or street fighter.
Over here the CB300R is about 100 eur more expensive than the TNT300, but Benelli has dropped the TNT 300 (BN302) over here. Probably not Euro5 ready. But the CB300R is now also 500 eur difference with the Kawasaki Z400. So Honda is having a hard time over here too. For a single cylinder 286cc naked bike the Honda is also expensive, yes.
So its 50kg lighter than the 300 forza with the same motor the 10 mph of extra speed isn't worth the lack of comfort, wind protection and carrying capacity.
Forza 300 has a completely different engine. A motorscooter has more comfort and more storage space but it is not the same as riding a motorcycle. I can tell as I have a motorscooter and motorcycle. Both have their great advantages and disadvantages. I love both.
@@MotoSnax i agree with you 100%. Im lucky and have a cz350 for love and a an400 for work (and a toyota car). If you can only afford one vehicle then scooter wins over bike EVERY time.
Depends on what you like. Scooter is practical, I just love the motorcycle rides more. But it differs per person of course.

Not sure if Honda will ever release the NC500. But who knows!
Beautiful bike. It was between this or the 2020 Mt-03 and I went with yamaha for the 2 cylinders and sweet ice fluo color. Under 5k u get slot more
That extra cylinder does help on the highway. For in town the CB300R will do more than fine.

What exhaust is on this? That doesnt sound like the stock one to me...
This really is the stock exhaust.
@@MotoSnax oh nice...in that case it sounds way better than 125. Wich ofcours it would but ive seen other video from 300 and i didn't notice it till now
Every stock 125cc sounds like sh*t. The stock one on the 300cc sounds pretty good. Maybe other videos don't use an external mic so the wind noise hides the good sound. :)
If you really wanna duck down and have that much of a problem with wind blast, you rather buy a sport bike with a big fairing.
It has NO gear indicator. But this is a single cylinder engine, you know immediately when you are in a too low or too high gear. But it is weird Honda chose to not use a gear indicator on the 300cc. They do have one on the 125...
@@MotoSnax , thanks.

I do not quite understand that people pursuing top speed on public roads where there are speed limits.
What is The real top Speed GpS km/h??
I did not record that, but take off about 8% and you are good.
how heavy are you?
Too much: about 95kg without gear.
Thanks, I "figured" as "much". The acceleration was no better than my antique Sherpa and I weigh about 110kg. Top speed is impressive though for a tiny naked.
Well, the Sherpa has the same power output. The CB300R weighs 15 kilograms more and the cylinder is only 37cc bigger. It is not a 300cc as many would think. That is why the acceleration looks the same. The top speed is about the same as the BMW G310R (which weighs even more, but also has got more cc's).
Most of the engine tech today is for emissions it would seem, not horsepower. I'd still take the cb300r over the g310r as I think Honda has their quality better sorted out. Thanks for the response!
So it drives great on the interstates
Yup, should be no problem. Max speed is like 70-75 MPH on interstates? Couple of 80-85MPH interstates, even that is no problem.
@@MotoSnax I heard the bike goes atleast 100mph please explain
@@chilledsamadio9140 I meant the maximum allowed speeds on interstates. Not what the CB300R can do. The CB300R has no problems whatsoever. I touched 100mph with strong headwind, so it can probably go a little bit faster than what I achieved.
@@MotoSnax is it great bike
Honda as great as it is their bikes are quite inconsistent when it comes to top speed, I own a 2019 500f and realistically it can only get upto 160kph, however a CBR125R can get upto 150kph lol
Your 500F should be able to get up to 175-180 km/h. Maybe even more. CBR125R... I've seen it do 140 km/h. :) But it lacks torque.
@@MotoSnax On paper estimated top speed is 116 mph (186kph), I doubt I will be able to reach it as it really struggles to go past 100mph (160kph), bike is stock 100%, and mileage is 1300 miles, I'm hoping it will improve over time. Maybe I have a slow one I don't know lol. Nonetheless I'm happy and torque is very useful especially climbing up. 👌
Is there a chance you can test ride the new ktm duke 790 L :) ?
Unfortunately not this year. The importer has got no spare time to restrict one to 35kW. My demand is to only ride it restricted as it will act different from a full power 790 Duke and lots of reviews can already be found of full powered 790's. I want the review to be unique. :) Maybe next year, but that is not my decision.

CB125R 1 liter per 34,7 km. CB300R 1 liter per 26.4 km with me on it, with my riding style (faster than allowed, but not stupid fast). If you ride it at normale pace, consumption will be better.

Duke 390,is better ♥️
CB650R is better than 390 Duke. :)
MT Bonita mais manca pra umas 300cc nova!
Who else thought it was mph
The people that live in the few countries that use MPH. :)
Almost as fast as ktm duke390.
If the speedometer on the NK is right. CFMoto, right? Chinese bikes tend to have a bigger difference between the speed on the speedometer compared to GPS.
@@MotoSnax i'm sorry. What i meant here was ktm duke390. That was a typo.
GPS----PLEASE ! !!
The difference is probably 8%. You do the math. :)
This one is also cool, if you'd ask me. We never had the older model.
Eu tambem prefiro a antiga mano
Essa nova ta muito feia
@@savioluiz1613 fei é tu.
Kkkk
A Ninja 300 manda lembranças!
thailand180km
Haces los cambios bien lentos
Duke 390 is better
Apples & oranges...
