Oh yes, I did in fact call this a Honda CB"R" 300R.... WHY?!?! Because my brain doesn't work anymore hahaha. SUBSCRIBE!
DukeOfDC Hah! I kept thinking my audio was glitching where you took out the R!
I was trying to make up for it in post production... doh
It's all right, I always get them mixed up in my head lol
Next time, just write it on screen. That Sound glitch you have made over the r is just anoying
You’ll get over it lol
I bought one of these a week ago, and I second everything you said about it. As a rider of 40 years and getting near 70 yrs of age, arthritis makes handling heavier bikes more difficult. This bike brings me so much joy that it makes me feel like when I got my first bike! Such a joy to ride! Thanks for the great video!
blessed!
I get it
I bought this a month ago as my first bike and I couldn't be happier!
Have you tried it on highways? How does it do ~80mph?
Alex Yara good to know! Thanks for the reply
Is it hard to shift ?
Im planninh to buy this, can you give me your review?
@@jaytravel-12 can you tap your feet???
Just hit the 600 mile mark on my 2019. I'm a 40 something newbie and this bike puts a big smile on my face and I learn something new every time I go out. Excellent little bike that I may keep for more than a "starter bike". Nice run down, Duke!
Ive put nearly 80k miles on my 2021 cb300r I'm the past 3 years of owning it
I just got my bike last weekend and I am loving it. This is a perfect beginners bike and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You do not need a 600 as a beginner bike, this is more than enough and very fun to ride. Plus within a year you can always upgrade to a more powerful bike as a more experienced rider.
I’m actually interested in buying this bike as my first bike. How’s it durability wise for you so far?
Digging that matte blue finish!
It’s gorgeous
Yeah it looks anodized
Its the same finish as the 2020 Rebel 500.
Love the styling and that blue color is really nice! Great real road review which leaves me really liking this CB300R. And yes the small capacity game is improved massively.
Amazing review, I bought this bike because of this review, and I can tell you it's worth every penny. Thank you so much Duke
Wow!! That means a lot to hear and I’m so glad you love this bike as much as I did!
Well, watched the review, Test drove, walked away, came back and bought it. Thanks for putting it on my radar!
I like humility in your review. No overbragging. Thank you. Subscribed. Stay humble and you will go far.
loving your reviews! topped with video quality! keep showing us more...
It’s amazing that a motorcycle doesn’t always have to make 200hp to be a blast to ride.
Yet another great video😀👍
getting my new blue 2021 CB300 in a week.. "can't wait" !! Great review, thanks !
I love your enthusiasm and love the way you reviewed this bike. It felt you actually enjoyed this bike. You are my #1 motorcycle reviewer so far. It feels you are really enjoying and that's very attractive from a viewer perspective. Thumbs up broski.
Considering this bike in the near future. Great review! Subscribed 💪
These are popping up on the used market and are very tempting for a first bike!!
Just bought the 2021 Honda CB300R and I’m glad I watched your video bc I’m the same height and just weighing 155lbs and when I sat on this motorcycle at the dealership and at home now, this is the most comfortable I’ve been on a motorcycle and the ergonomics are a perfect fit to my body size/height.
I keep picturing this bike with knobbies and dirt bike handlebars. These little bikes remind me of jumping on my huffy and riding to my friends when I was a kid.
No need to just picture it in your mind...look up CB300R Scrambler
Or my bike lol it’s getting there
So surreal, I work down the street from DFW Honda! Very nice of you to review a bike in my backyard.
You know I do what I can :) glad you enjoyed!
This was a lot better than some other reviews. Only wasted a minute and a half, then got right to it. Was expecting to have to jump 4 mins of plugs and music. Also, I appreciated your enthusiasm for this bike and the clear audio!
I like how honest you are in reviewing motorcycles. I'm planning to get a honda Grom, but this motorcycle changed my mind! Thank you.
I started on the grom. Its so slow but fun in a group. I got rid of it in a year. Save the headache get a z400. You wont outgrow it and it has a gear indicator plus ABS standard. The CB300R is fine but not great. As a starting bike $5000 range the z400 is the way to go.
@@NatsumeKonno 2020 Suzuki SV650 $5800 in Cali (Van Nuys) -might be doing THAT for my first (street) bike ever.
Best reviews, appreciate them.
Yea sunski shoutout! I think they offer the hard case for free right now. Best sunglasses ever!
Owned this bike for a year and i love it! So comfortable and reliable and fun to ride. wouldn't really want to tour it too far.
So cheap to run and insure too. I get about 83-84 miles to the gallon in real life riding conditions. Its a joy to own.
I do sometimes envy the big boys Honda cb650r or cb1000r for that extra torque .
Most people, cars and bikers assume you are only riding a 125cc as it looks almost identical and get a shock when you spank them or at least keep up with them on the road.
The only slight issue with this bike is having to shift through the low gears very quickly as this can get a little tired on busy city rides.
Stay happy and stay safe out there Brothers and sisters.
Pleasures Of the Damned how does it do at around 70 to 75 mph?
@@AJC559 It gets up to 80 very easily and comfortably and is also very stable but starts to struggle at about 85+mph. I have managed 100mph with a very long open road and favourable wind and road gradient but this is really the absolute limit this bike can do.
@@pleasuresofthedamned5245 Good to know !!!
I fully agree on everything you said! I loveeeeee the design they did on this bike, sitting on it is quite comfortable and the shifting does look quite easy to do if you’re a beginner. Saw this bike at MotoGP in Austin and mannnnn! I just knew I have to have it! Soon to be in my garage for sure!
Btw, the matte blue finish guys is even prettier in person!
It seems to me like every single person that has reviewed this bike loves it. Be it just a "average Joe" like me, or a professional motorcycle enthusiast, everyone seems to just love this little bike for what it is. Nicely done review.
Trust me, I’m as average as it gets yet I found this to be so so enjoyable.
Love the new format! 😎
Thanks brother! 🤓🤓
I’m about to buy this as my first bike and this video really helped me feel that I’m making the right decision.
Very happy to hear that! Congratulations on the upcoming purchase!
I got one Sept. 9, 2020, very happy for my first bike !
You know whats amazing about this channel... I am literally the same hieght along with the same inseam and every bike that you review I know whether ot not I can fit on it or not! :)
Thanks dude really like your vlogs like honda CB 300r class👍💙💯
Great review with helpful info! Subbed from Taiwan🇹🇼
the "roaring 20's" are off to a rough start
LMAO more like the dying 20s
@@amonGustavo07 that comes later. Circa about the 40s.
Might add one to my garage but that tail and exhaust are a goner day one
@@Faceless_Chat Any pics of it? I wanna see :D
Why would you do that? Im curious
@@justynthymetaylorcoleman2719
Because it's ugly af stock
Agreed, that exhaust just ruined the look
I see beauty is in the eye of the beholder perception it's not going to affect performance much might take a little bit of weight off it unless you're trying to do some racing really it's not going to matter the fender eliminator is also just to get rid of extra stuff to make the bike a little bit lighter I'm not so concerned about how the bike looks to other peopleit will always look fine to me as long as it does the job
Great video. Because of this video I went and bought one. I love it too! Thank you.
❤️ from India for the great video.
Thank you Honda for bringing this machine as a CKD unit to India.
bro vandi edutho? enganund
Thanks fir the review. Just bought one!
Ordered mine today, can't wait
good review enjoyed it thanks
Bought mine earlier this year, regularly chasing her round the Cumbrian fells in England, love it. Riding buddies have bigger bikes but are jealous because of the nimbleness of my little Miss Honda 🏍 😁
The what brain in England!?!?!??
How’s the clutch for in town riding? I’m new and buying one in spring and a little spooked by stalling in traffic
Great content! We here at Viking Bags really appreciate your videos! Keep up the good work!
You've been a sub for 2 years! I really appreciate that and thanks for sticking with me through this recent lull in content. I think it's going to be very worth it.
I'm hoping so much that they get this 2020 model in Australia really soon. It looks amazing!
Nice review - want one of these when the prices drop on the used market.
Brought mines 5/25/22 get it 5/27/22 can’t wait to see what it do I’m so thankful mhm wish me luck on them good journeys
Love the small bikes for street to track riding, nice bike & review!
Thanks for the love :)
Great video! Thank you. I was sooooo on the fence. Not anymore! Again, thank you!
You’re welcome! Glad I could assist
@@DukeOfDC Also, subscribed! Thanks again, eh!
Definitely contemplating this or a ninja 400 as my first bike, this bike just looks so clean
I just bought one of these purely for the gas mileage. I’ve never had a bike before and even though I paid for it last week I still haven’t picked it up. This video and these comments make me feel really good about my purchase.
I bought one yesterday and i love it 👍👍👍👍👊👊👊
Like your review, to the point and concise.👍
We get this bike for approximately $4,300 (on road price)here in India, comes in two colors, Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
Nice review mate. Subbed
We already have a Honda CB300R here in India and it costs 2,80,000Rs(~3700$) after all the taxes and 5 years insurance. Eagerly waiting for Honda rebel 300.
You make good videos. Subscribed. Just show the design of the bike more.
Really like honda CB 300r hope there can get that over in England brilliant review ace👍❤️🇬🇧
U earned a new subscriber!
And you earned a place in my heart
Great review
That has to be the best looking single cylinder bike in the market today.
Also, the same applies to the cb650r. The best looking motorcycle release for 2019 in my opinion.
Honda sure has got their design game all strong. Coupled with that unbeatable and bulletproof reliability and refinement, honda is making a super solid statement here.
Thanks for the great review! I am shopping for my 1st street bike after only riding off-road for years. I am seriously considering this motorcycle, and you may have convinced me to take a test ride on this. Keep up the great reviews ! Rob
Thx for the review. I subscribed.
Cool. That was a quick response.
Really nice entry level bike. Honda tends to punch above their weight. Good review.
They’ve really stepped it up with these new 2020 models
The svelte 315 pounds of this bike is what makes it feel quick. And it’s an overall fantastic machine. It’s arguably the best all-around 300 on the market and does well even against 400 class bikes. I’m seriously considering buying one as a second bike.
2024! I have got myself one 300r here in India ditching interceptor 650 for the marvel of engineering Japanese have done in 300R. Very good review
Nice review. I’ll be reviewing a CBR300R in one of my next videos
Very cool! I’ll be sure to check it out
Good luck reviewing the 2020 model...honda killed it
In Japan now getting my motorcycle license in a month and going to get this bike, though we have the 250cc version because 250cc and lower bikes don't have to do a bi-annual vehicle inspection called "shaken" that costs about $500. It's kind of like a smog check but for everything. Rode for the first time today on a CB400 (I'm getting a 400cc motorcycle license) and the CB250R seems perfect for me. Thanks for helping me in my decision.
I'm From El Paso Tx, honestly thinking about going to this dealership just because of this channel.. I really want this to be my 1st bike really bad now lol, you got me all excited with this review. Texan subs to Texan ✌
Dude!! That’s so cool, thanks for the support. If you go to that dealership definitely mention you’re there because of the video!
@@DukeOfDC on 2nd though.. that's an 8hr drive from El Paso.. but I am thinking about starting some type of vlog.. so.. content, I guess??
I just bought one of these today as my first bike ever, I get to pick it up on Tuesday ❤️ I would've gotten to ride it home today, but there was a problem with the bank. Tuesday can't come soon enough
Might have to move to the Dallas Fort Worth area coming this March. I may end up getting my Honda Rebel 500 over there. I'm more of a fan of the cruisers, but I would gladly throw my leg over the CB300 and see how it feels.
Thanks for this great review
I went right out and got one traded Grom in and am IN LOVE I will try to do a video on it ASAP as well. Smoothest shifting ever
@@ICYICYgamer How you liking it? Was thinking about this for my first bike.
Omg M. Arnold sorry never saw ur message hee I LOVE this bike on the freeway it is a dream!!!!!
Never rode a motorcycle but have recently started looking into them and learning. Came across this bike online and i’m interested in it
New subs here paps, love your r3 vid. And also this, please make a review of the 2020 ninja 400
I bout a 2021 cb300r brand new with 0 miles and I absolutely love it put nearly 80k miles on the this little beast in the past 3 years
Bought this bike based on your review. It is the a joy to ride.
How much does it cost? What are the extra charges? Basically how much it costs to take this bike to home in US? And what is the yearly insurance like? Pls reply
Can't wait to get mine
Nice review. I’m sold.
I've had this bike for over a year now, and I still love it, but i'm getting the cb1000r on 2020. I need a bit more power, and the same feel, the cb1000r delivers that for me. I love the video, and review.
Out of all the dealerships in the country... I'm actually talking to DFW Honda right now about buying this exact bike! Funny coincidence.
Really liking this bike. I want the all black 2019 version though
When I first started it was only a Ninja 250 and rebel 250. Now they have really nice bikes at the lower displacement. I started the Ninja 250. I bought it new for $2999
Thanks for the vid mate, so...this one or the cb500f?
I'll sub for the fact you're in my backyard. Gotta watch these crazy DFW drivers
They are literally everywhere. I’m in North Richland Hills and they all think they own the road.
That’s true lol.
I’ve been looking for a starter bike, being 5’9 and 130 A 500 is just a little too much for me right now...But this review makes me want to get a cb300 even more now!
It's my first bike, I don't regret anything, plus I plan to keep it for a long time as a city bike or short trips.
The day will come when I buy this bike or something like it. I sold my last bike because I couldn't pick it up last time I dropped it. I bought a Honda NC700X 2 years ago there at DFW Honda. Next week I'm 65. I may not be able to pick it up in 5-6 years but I'll never stop riding as long as I'm alive.
Think I’ve found my first official bike, I’m very excited.
Miss you, Honda CB300R 🎍🎋🧭⏱🔩🔧
And I had finally nailed the gear shifting too QwQ
I have the same bike and I pretty happy with it! Excellent for beginner by my option. And looks very good from aside. Even for bigger guy 😄
Thanks for the video as a firsr time biker i was goijg for the kawasaki ninja but of course the crouched position isn’t something for me! After doing bit of research ill be getting the cb300f one
Up here in the DFW. Nice!
I’m the traveling DukeOfDC
That blue is just beautiful
Yeet dawg we live around the same area finna buy my first bike and came across this vid been to dfw honda alot hope to see ya around my guy.
If you buy from DFW Honda mention that you saw the video!!
Awesome video! Will I be board after a month or two? im already a bit familiar with riding
Btw im only about 150lbs
love the bike, im looking into them and im really considering it, id of course get a different muffler😁 some other mods too maybe
Gonna come up there Friday to check out some Groms!
Just about to put a down payment on this in India, can’t wait to own it. I think you said a lot of things I thought myself. It’s a bit more expensive here compared to the completion but honestly I don’t mind spending that bit extra. The way it out made me feel at ease immediate was just a big draw for me. Only concern is it is a little down on power to something like a Duke but then again a few mods (filters, new sprocket, remove the side guard we get only in India and a new exhaust should help add 2-3 bhp and torque. Excellent review cheers mate!
Just put the deposit down on one for my fiancé as a 5 year anniversary gift. It is such a great bike
I bought 1 in yellow just because I liked the looks.
I didn't fancy any of the new ones out there with alien looking headlights.
I know this is an old video, but im definitely getting this bike. Definitely. Was going to get a rebel but i just cant see myself on a cruiser style bike. I mean most of the reason im getting a bike is for sportyness so. 😎
I'm such a huge fan of the 1st person view.... It's the closest I'll probably ever get to driving a motorcycle lol
Great video. In torn between a sport or a naked bike for my first
DECIDED TO GO WITH SPORT
I own a variety of bikes including this one, and I gotta say it is solid in that it is reliable for 10s/100s of THOUSANDS of miles for 80+MPG even for 200+lb riders. Change oil, tires, lube chain, that’s it. However, it feels a little jumpy even for a seasoned throttle hand. Also has a comfortable stance but seat becomes stiff (for my precious butt at least) on longer rides.
*Will perform well in twisties*
Looks like a fun and fantastic bike. Do you think this engine would be an oil burner if you're cruising at higher rpm?
Next video can you do a complete walk around showing all angles of the bikes as well as seeing you get on and off to show bike size and fit and riding position? I looked up insurance and for some reason this bike is higher to insure than a 500f. Thoughts on why?
Looks like a fun little bike. Can I make a request for a Yamaha Bolt review? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Your request has been noted my friend :) I’ll add it to the list!
