Hegemony and the thought and attention to detail put into it is enough to make this an instant back for me. I love hegemony, and suspect I'll love this just as much, if not more.
Great job, Alex!! Given my background, both academically and professionally, I'm looking forward to getting this one to the table solo and with others.
What's yours suggest for an as area control or majority game. Just curious as that's probably the mechanic I'm most interested in for this game. Don't think this one would be for me though just because of the game length. Thanks!
@BoardGameCo oooo I was hoping you would say that. Just got a copy yesterday! Haha. Took a risk and got a copy from great Britain. One small smoosh on one corner but overall I'm happy with it. Excited to give it a go!
@@brettkitani438 I've def been interested at certain points. Decided to get El grande just because it's been hard to find and it's finally down to a normal game price. I will check into tyrants a little more in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!
I am so excited about this game even though I haven't played my copy of Hegemony enough to justify it yet. Such a quality game company as well! Thanks for the coverage!
harder to understand = more complex ....and I am in as I find Dune Imperium a bit too much on the lighter side. Thanks, this comment was rather helpful
My entire playgroup is exhausted with politics, so while I am very interested in this one, I don't see it ever getting to the table enough to justify because of the theme, unfortunately.

Did you play it 2 player, if so how did it feel?
No, only at 4
What's your estimate of the complexity rating? For reference, Dune Uprising is 3.44 and Hegemony is 4.2.
Out of 5 or 10?
@ BGG weight system everyone uses.
Can you say anything on how it plays with the different player counts? Is it any good at fewer than 4 players?
Unfortunately I've only.played it at 4
This game seams perfect for me.
At least with my personal likes which is global control and economics
It's a Euro game disguised as an area control game. Pass for me.
How is it at 2 players?
I haven't tried at two sadly

El grande :)

@@BoardGameCo the new version of course. Much cheaper. Haha
@@PBMatthews254 I would recommend Tyrants of the Underdark. Such an underrated game, it's a fantastic deck builder with area control.

I prefer this to Hegemony but both are great :)
Love being first. Looking forward to the potential of this one!
So, it is harder to understand, longer Dune Imperium with more asymmetry, less choice, and weaker deck building? I'm leaning towards pass
Lol put that way...
I think it does offer something dune doesn't though, but yes I think dune is better

Theme matters and this is different to Dune.
I don't think this game complex or long at all, and that's its main problem for me. It's just too basic.
The turn order russia flag is upside down lol
That's just Alex setting it up.
Serbia setting the World Order 😁
Yikes! Sorry!
The guy playing Israel always wins.
Russia gets its @ss kicked and USA just flipped the table...
Lol Israel is an allied county in the game, not a full world power
You mean whoever is playing the US then?
@@BoardGameCo missed opportunity honestly
@@elqord.1118 no, USA isn't going to win the next wars
