Do you OWN these? OR considering a purchase?

Excellent video. I am also a voice actor, and I use the 80 ohm for the exact reasons that you described. It is the truest flattest response and if you have to go back and correct what your recording will you need to monitor without any additional sweetening, they are the benchmark. They keep you honest!
They also work very well for use with musical instruments and related devices so you can hear the pure signal out of your device. I use them with BOSS Katana Go, Katana Artist Mk II Amplifiers and the BOSS ME-90 and the sound is excellent.

I ended up getting the 250 ohms version. Really comfortable and sound great! Now I want the 990's lol

I was the exact same! Haha. The 990s are definitely different and for a separate purpose but also equally impressive. Thanks for being here on the channel!

ya i tried dt770 80 and 250 ohm. i thought 80ohm had less hyped treble and stronger bass making it sound overall more neutral. (i know you got opposite result to that lol oratory1990 said unit variation is more diff than how they measure idk about that) both had the 4kHz cut tonality so ended up liking dt990 250ohm more. kinda want to try dt990 80ohm but that doesnt have coiled cable never seen the measurement for it. didnt like the dt990 premium edition tried 600 and 250ohm of those (which both sounded the same to me just had to crank 600ohm a lot more). high mids and treble sounded less natural and less sparkly to me when compared to pro but the fancier metallic premium edition ear cups gives a more roomlike effect in the bass presentation. sounds like the bass is reflecting around in the earcup and i actually like that more than pro dt990. but overall pro has better high mids and treble.

It’s amazing that we see things ever so slightly different. Could have to do with a lot of variables. Or maybe just all that earwax I’ve got 🤣🤣🤮🤮 respect your opinions.

This was a great video. I was wondering if you have gotten to try the DT 700 Pro at the 48ohms? I am a voice actor and was between the Sennheiser 280 and the DT 770 80ohms. however I travel a good bit and saw the 48ohm of the DT700 and now am leaning that way however I really want the most neutral sound I can get for the edits and also when I do live sessions so I am hearing myself accurately. Cheers.

Great vid! Up until today, I’ve heard that these have a V-shaped sound signature and that’s what I like but you and another guy I listened to earlier said that they’re "flat".. Do you know if the handle an EQ well, something like the PEACE program for Windows or I guess any EQ for that matter? So maybe I can get that V-shape sound with all of the quality that comes with these headphones…

These are not *perfectly* flat, but WAY less pronounced than Sony 7506's or Audio technica's ATH-50's. that's kind of the baseline comparison. I think with EQ on headphones... the better option is to *cut* and not *boost*. versus microphones where you can do a little bit of both

Hey I know this video is coming up on a year old so I don't know if I will get a response back. But im currently looking into the DT770s mainly 250 ohm version, and I was wondering if you had a Headphone amp recommendation to power the 250s. I originally was looking at pairing the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Audio interface with the 250 ohm but after doing some looking some ppl have said it doesn't provide enough power to get the full extent out of the headphones.
So I was hoping maybe you had some recommendations for Headphone amps for the 250ohm for a desktop pc plans to use them for gaming and music

Sorry for this guy who did not answer your question. At least I do not understand him ("lmkatanks"). I plan to purchase the same Fiio k3, this is a good choice. q3 is good also, but K3 is more versatile. What I understand it's better to -not- use an amp because DT is already very high sound quality. But I think it's good to use the Fiio if you use the 32 ohms. Which DT did you puchase finally? Do you use the smartphone only to listen?

@@lgserider2449 Hi, i ended up buying the Skullcandy Crusher Evo for the Bass alone and it works wonders with my Fiio, thanks for you reply!

it doesn't matter the content... more matters WHAT you are plugging the headphone into. The 32's are a great choice for everything, if you're not sure
