Fernie on a Pow Day is otherworldly. Pick a bowl, and I'll see you for dinner. I ate an edge on a pow day up in Timber Bowl, did a backwards somersault twice, and came out unscathed. Snow Gods were watching over me. All hail Pow Day in Fernie.
Nice!
All hail.
C u 4 Din din.
Nice video. Fernie is an awesome resort.
Wicked, I did some treeplanting up in Fernie back in the day and the other guys were talking about the boarding. Awesome to see how incredible it really is!
Yoooo
Canada looks like the dream
Great self filming, loving the follow cam and sticking the camera in the snow while you demonstrated the roll over. Keep up the good work and endless trips!
I love Fernie on a day like that. But to be fair it does tend to be one of those places that only has 2 conditions - fantastic (which is what you got) or terrible. I've had almost as many terrible days there as fantastic. Glad you got the goods this time.
I guess I got lucky with the conditions.
Your so right, I have rode there for about 5 years now and have had the best days of my life on that mountain but also the iciest, there terrain park is small but they set it up amazing and they have so much terrain.
Also if you ever go back there’s a aortic local secret spot called corner pocket and takes you above lizard bowl, your completely aloud to go in there and it’s usually the last place with the best snow, you get to lower yourself in on tires with a rope and then drop in to a massive bowl, you should definitely check it out
Wonderful playing snowboard in Canada, nice scenery 👍🤩❄☃️
I love Fernie. I also love Big-Dumps. Made some friends for life there some years ago. It’s reputation for being a skiers resort is so undeserved - if you’re anything above a beginner snowboarder.
YOOOOO FIRST COMMENT I LOVE YOUR VIDS SOOOO MUCH. I AM SWEDISH AND I LOVE SNOWBOARDING THANK YOU FOR INSPIRING MY DREAM
Thank you Oshin!
Let's gooooo
I had 3 days of riding Fernie in a row. First day was sun and overcast, second day was a surprise dump of fresh pow (one of the best riding days i've ever had) and third day was heavy rain and slush! Def wanna visit again some day
Yeww
Gotta do CASTLE mountain if you’re near Fernie! I’ve never been to another hill that’s so relentlessly steep. Not crazy steep but consistently steep. Would be great with fresh pow.
Will check it out next time!
SHHHH!!! Don't let anyone know!!! It's bad enough they have found out about Fernie! ;)
Chose Fernie for my first visit to Canada from Scotland 22 years ago. Glad it still has a small town vibe. I thought it had been bought by Intrawest and was sure it would blow up. It’s a great wee resort,
Last time i went to fernie we crossed the avalanche tape and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Im going back i. 2 weeks.
You guys live the dream! Snowboarding that often would be amazing. Okay n Aus we have limited snow but I’m hoping to get back to Japan this season. 🔥❤️
You definitely got lucky . Usually on powder days it does get tracked out super quickly . It’s also not privately owned, it’s owned by RCR . Which is a big corporation
cruisin' and poppin'
Yaaa dude! Just wrapping up my video from Ernie as well… only downside in late season riding I found was the lack of gondola or chair bubble. Got pretty wet riding up to the snow line on our last day where we had rain at the base and pow up at white pass chair. Glad you’re rocking that GoPro max!
Looks like you had some great conditions though.
I work and Snowboard at Fernie Alpine Resort. I have had some awesome POW Days this year.
Your gear looks wicked, and your board is excellent.
Thank you! Loving the new L1 jacket and pants
Im surprised to see you up in bc kev but its good to see you out there getting turns and even better seeing gill ride again! You need to update her outwear though kev! Shes been rocking the same kit for a few years now…
"It's still snowing." Yup, that's the main thing. 🤙
You should come down to castle when the snows good
You NEEED to check out RED mountian in rossland B.C but don't make a video on it. It's a hidden gem for sure
Spent two seasons here! Best place in Canada by far!
I love fernie
Can’t beat a fresh pow day, especially at the end of March!!
That's dope af bra 💯
Nice video man!
you liked it that much better than kicking horse?
Raaad!! Keep up the good vids!
Would you make a video about Nidecker Supersonic bindings?
Switched back to Vans boots?
I was there in January
looks like revelstoke!!
nice
How much were day tickets?
What camera did u use for this vid?
It’s the Insta 360 One X2
Fernie better then whistler??
It isn't bigger by any stretch but the pow we get out here just isn't the same as what you get on the coast. If you come here during the week you are pretty much guaranteed no lift line. Two guys going up on separate chairs in front of you isn't a line. It just isn't. It is amazing. And that isn't to say I would mind taking a trip to Whistler simply for the experience of it. But I don;t think I would trade them. ;)
So flowy
Can't believe it took you so long to go lol
how are the runs always so empty for you ??!!😭
I’m not sure! Everyone was going home on this day because it was raining at the base
@@SnowboardProCamp this was my first full season kevin just wanted to say thank you! your videos helped me so much & i have found a real passion for snowboarding!! keep it up man
Been to 27 resorts. Fernie was my least favourite
You can tell this guy is not a Fernie regular due to his describing that as deep snow. I have been skiing Fernie for 25 years and trust me, that aint deep snow.
Mmmmmm
So bad
