    Flip out Tremblant for either Red or Pano and I’d say that’s accurate

    Whistler is not only the most expensive, it also the most crowded resort. Lift lines are the longest I have ever experienced and the snow conditions can be more variable than the other resorts. Not sure I will go back. I love Banff(Sunshine, Norquay and Lake Louise) and SilverStar. Also hoping to visit Kicking Horse.

      well it's because it's the only ski resort that has decent infrastructure. I'd say 26 lifts is still not enough even though that's one of the most amount of lifts in North America. In Europe, small resorts have 20+ lifts and bigger resorts have over 100+ lifts which much better tech like: faster, more people, heated seats/windshields. Waiting in line is really a north american issue tbh.
      Revelstoke has the most potential aside from WB, but it will never be built up like it should be

    Whistler's lift system doesn't cope well with the hordes of people who go there. The base area looks very tired. The snow may be plentiful but is heavy and for all of its size it would fit neatly in the corner of any number of larger European areas. Go to the interior for the best skiing in Canada and Europe if you want to ski a genuinely large ski area.

    • @keithscothern3398

      this list is about Canada WB IS FOR SURE THE Biggest in Canada and NA the problem with the mega resorts in Europe is that may have lots of runs but most of it is that the skiing is boring super wide groomers with very little variety and they miss one essential ingredient for skiing SNOW. the snow in whistler may be a bit on the heavy side but at least there is natural snow to ski on and not dirt and rocks with with a little bit of man -made to ski on,very little snow in Europe this year

    • @graemearmstead9237
      @graemearmstead9237 Год назад

      @@keithscothern3398 You go to Europe for the off piste . In places like Val d'Isere, St Anton, Alagna/Gressoney/Champoluc, and plenty more, it is endless and with lines that you simply can't find in North America unless you hike/climb or have a helicopter. Snow conditions vary everywhere and in my 40 years of going to hundreds of resorts some of the worst conditions I have encountered have been in Canada although I have to admit that some years there have been spectacular. Nevertheless, if you actually get out to the places I am talking about you'll see what I mean.

      Agreed that you have to pick your days carefully to ski whistler but when the conditions are on it’s spectacular, much better than anywhere else in Canada. Whistler is best for skiers that live close by so you can jump on it when the conditions are best.

Le Massif de Charlevoix and its new Cub Med at the base of 2600' drop might have something to say about that! Mont-Saint-Anne? etc etc etc
