The fact that Blue Mountain was on this list, at about 750 feet of vertical and mostly man-made snow, tells me the person that made this video doesn't have a clue about skiing in Canada
no kidding! and "Lake Louis" egads, do a little research fella! and the word is "exactly" not "eggsactsly" Get a pro to do your VO and you don't come off sounding like a machine or dufus.
A skier in grey suit with no poles doing the exact same turn on the same slope in two different mountains. Sun peak is said to be small yet it is the second largest center in Canada. Whistler with a 12 000+ vertical drop. Weird rankings that don't make much sense: I know because I skied all but 3 of these resorts. Those are mistakes I picked up in a single view of this video.
Yeah, so cool that Whistler is now 12,000’, that’s awesome they made it bigger. Lake Louis is cool too. lol. No Panorama, so that secret is still safe.
This video is laughable and makes a complete mockery of Canada's skiing heritage. Half the clips used here are from Europe and so many "facts" are just plain wrong. Not counting the mismatched stock footage, here are 17 glaring errors in this video: 1. 1.59 "Big White is the closest ski resort to Vancouver" Umm... nope. Whistler is far closer to Vancouver than Big White. Not to mention Cypress, Grouse, Manning Park and all the other resorts he missed. He also claimed Big White is 2.5 hours away from Vancouver. A quick Google Maps search shows that it's 4 hours away. 2. 2:09 "Big White is also one of the few mountains that offers night skiing in Canada" Sorry, nope. There are many options for night skiing in Canada that are too numerous for me to count. 3. 2:20 "It [Big White] has 20 trails and a variety of terrains" Big white actually has over 110 marked runs. 4. 3:05 "Sunshine Village has 32 runs and 3 terrain parks" ... nope, Sunshine has over 110 marked runs. 5. 3:20 "[Sunshine] is not as busy as some of the other resorts" 🤣🤣🤣 Obviously he has never been to Sunshine on a weekend. 6. 3:25 "Lake Lewis Ski Resort" Dude, how hard is it to pronounce "Louise"? Luh-Weeze 7. 3:37 "The main lift [at Lake Louise] is the great wall, which is the longest single state chairlift in the world" ??? The longest chairlift in North America (and possibly the world) is Burfield at Sun Peaks, not the "Great Wall" chair at Louise. 8. 3:52 "Lake Lewis has 15 runs and 1 terrain park" Lake Louise has 165 marked runs. 9. 4:05 "It doesn't have a lot of snowboarding terrain" Umm... okay... 10. 4:17 "Revelstoke, formerly a sanctuary for the well to do" Where is he getting this information?? Before the resort opened in 2008, Revelstoke was just like any other small town in BC. It was not a "sanctuary" for the well to do. 11. 5:01 "Out of the spotlight, [Mont Tremblant] the ski resort can feel like a well-kept secret" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA tell that to the crowds of people who visit this place. Seriously 12. 5:14 "With 4 mountains" Mont Tremblant has 1 mountain, albeit with a backside, but it is on one mountain. Not 4 Mountains. 13. 5:49 "One of the smaller resorts on this list [Sun Peaks]" Oh, you mean the second biggest ski resort in Canada? Right, I know what small resort you're talking about. 14. 6:19 "Take a shuttle to see the Kamloops Blazers play in the Canadian Hockey League" They are a WHL team, not CHL. 15. 8:12 "The mountain [Fernie] offers a longer than usual ski season" Actually, wrong. Fernie has a reputation for not great snow after March. Definitely not an April to May mountain like Sunshine or Lake Louise (or even Panorama). 16. 9:35 "Mont Sainte-Anne, a tiny resort" Yeah it's a tiny resort all right. That 625 meter vertical drop is puny. 17. 10:24 "The hills, which are just 4 miles from the closest international airport" RED is 25 kms away from the nearest regional airport in Trail. The nearest international airport to RED is either Kelowna or Cranbrook, both of which are over 3 hours away.
Maybe a rubbish example of AI - Chat GPT trolling the internet, mashing a whole ton of information together and getting it oh so wrong. How could you pronounce Lake Louise as Lake Louis! LAME

You have no correct information on this video. Totally wrong. Sunshine had 139 runs. Lake Louise doesn’t have the longest lift. That’s Sun Peaks. You also didn’t say Louise correct. Pretty embarrassing
This is one of those reviews where the reviewer probably never left mom’s basement. Lake Louis? Lol. Big White closest to Vancouver? BS. (While showing random video including Grouse Mt., useless). There is so much crap on the internet.
One of worst reviews ever. Too many errors to take it seriously. The second largest resort in Canada being Sun Peaks is apparantly one of Canadas smallest .
Tremblant is super nice place to stay if you don't mind not having emergency support, as there is NO cell service in this billion dollar project. I really expected more for safeties sake. This is not Mount Everest, and this should have been taken care of many years ago. Less service since SEPAC took over. Forget about complaining about anything, as everyone sais that is someone elses fault! SEPAC is ruining it for everyone who enjoys nature.
Pretty sure this video is AI generated... Voice sounds like AI and nothing the dude said was true. Also none of the clips lined up with the resort they were talking about lol.
This is such a goofy video... so many errors made throughout... honestly also couldn't decide what I found funnier, the narrator saying "lake louis" over and over again, or Blue Mountain being on this list! 😅
All these ski stations in BC and Alberta are far away from the cities and underdeveloped ... i prefer the alps ( europe ) for very good high class ski stations ... another level compared to BC and Alberta stations ... plus Alberta is the fossil fuels province destroying nature
Awful. Just awful, do you even ski? I just about turned off when he said Sunshine had 32 runs… it’s 4x that. Then when he said Lake “Louis” i typed this comment and peaced out.
Blue mountains is not even a mountain but a hill ... horrible place to ski but it us in Ontario ... a very flat and boring province of cars , corruption and nothing Canadian but asian
Probably the worst overview of Canadian ski resorts I've viewed. So many factual errors it is laughable.
every stat he gave was wrong, lol
The fact that Blue Mountain was on this list, at about 750 feet of vertical and mostly man-made snow, tells me the person that made this video doesn't have a clue about skiing in Canada
Why were they talking about Big White but showing Cypress Bowl in Vancouver , ? You could see Vancouver Harbour
Almost none of the video is the hills they are talking about. What a joke video. Blue mountain 6?!?!?!hahaha
What a joke 🤣 don't believe in this video please guys
no kidding! and "Lake Louis" egads, do a little research fella! and the word is "exactly" not "eggsactsly" Get a pro to do your VO and you don't come off sounding like a machine or dufus.
Actually, Whistler is much quicker and easier to get to from Vancouver than Big White is
@@raynersutherland1679 yes just over 2 hours to Whistler compared to around 5.5 to 6 Hours

So many mistakes made in this video - it's an absolute joke. The icing on the cake I felt tho was "Lake Luis"!!!
Lake Lewis?
This guy is a clown. This list is complete bs. Doesn't mention Apex or Kimberly. Puts Blue Mountain in the list. Are you kidding me?
At Blue Mountain you quickly forget you’re not in Switzerland, haha, nice one!
This dude is clearly American by how he talked about certain mountains
“Moynt-saynt-ayne”
its lake Louise, not Lewis

I totally agree
mans knows his facts jeeez
omg i just realised who you are, of course you know your facts lol I watched one of your videos recently about abandoned ski resorts in bc
And Lake Louise's vertical drop is only 575 feet? Is the data from the first day it opened?
I think you put more time into this video than the person that made the video...
Would be nice if the creator had actually been to any of these. Almost all the B roll doesn't match
Blue mountain... does not look anything like what was shown. Swing and a miss haha
Whistler's vertical drop 12000 feet??? Lol
"Lake lewis" 🤣
Vanqouver is located about 6 hrs away from Big White and not 2.5 hrs.
First time hearing Lake Louise pronounced as Lake Lewis.
Kamloops Blazers are in the WHL, not the Canadian Hockey League
True
Buddy the WHL is in the CHL
How is Vancouver in the background of someone skiing at Big white ??
I have two resorts explained and the information is incorrect!
Maybe a rubbish example of AI - Chat GPT trolling the internet, mashing a whole ton of information together and getting it oh so wrong. How could you pronounce Lake Louise as Lake Louis! LAME
What a perfect country! We have beautiful mountains, rivers and wildlife
Panorama missing
Alot of good Canadian mountains are missing.
lake lewis
literally none of the clips used for sunshine were in sunshine 💀

The facts are all out to lunch.
Lost me at Lake louis.
Wow! Did they use a chat bot to write their script? How did they get so much wrong?!?
Clear you are not Canadian 😂 Mont Tremblant is pronounces Mont Tremblan (the *t* is silent )
Lake Louise is not pronounced as Lewis
What about whitewater
"Eggselent" seems to be his go-to word. Maybe it's his way of describing something incredibly fantastic, like a mouthwatering omelet.
"eggzellent"? "Lake Lewis"?
“Lake louis” hahahaha
You have no correct information on this video. Totally wrong. Sunshine had 139 runs. Lake Louise doesn’t have the longest lift. That’s Sun Peaks. You also didn’t say Louise correct. Pretty embarrassing
Do your homework. Many of your facts are incorrect. It's Lake Louise, not Lake Louis.

Sorry, thumbs down for erroneous info

There was cell phone service all over the mountain when I was there a month ago!
lake Louise hahahaha im dying.. just stop
These guys have no clue.
Wouldn't plan my vacation from this video. It really has no relevance.
So much miss information, you should probably just take this video down.
Does this guy know anything ? Big white is like 5 hours from Vancouver…
Lake Louis? What a horrible video
All these ski stations in BC and Alberta are far away from the cities and underdeveloped ... i prefer the alps ( europe ) for very good high class ski stations ... another level compared to BC and Alberta stations ... plus Alberta is the fossil fuels province destroying nature
Your pronunciation leaves a LOT to be desired!!!😢😢😢

Absloute crap filled with ridiculous errors. Really bad.
This video has to be a joke right?
What about whitewater
What about Apex Mountain?
