Very nice Jerome!
Thank you very much Nigel!!
Love these trees great for beginners
Just my luck that you have perfect timing! I have been looking at my schefflera forrest of cuttings from 2 years ago wondering what next? And here you are with the perfect video! No repotting needed but it’s defoliated now! Thank you, I always enjoy your videos and learn something new each time!
Great easy follow guide. I will find a
Really amazing! I never seen these plants being made into beautiful bonsai. Just heard. Thanks for the info Jerome.🤩🤩
Great video! The update is well worth waiting for. We will look forward in anticipation to seeing how it looks later 🙂
Beautiful! Can’t wait to see an update in a year!
Thank you Ian!!
So glad this came up - I JUST got this plant from Lowe's actually and it's still in its nursery pot. I've had a little trouble with losing leaves and burning them - When I had looked up care online it seemed to be different from what you've said. Not wanting direct sun, not overwatering. I am going to try to go more your route and see if this works out better! :)
do you guys have a update video on this schefflera? looks like a really great start. they do make great bonsai for sure
Hi your friend here from South Africa. Just saw your live on TikTok and wanted to say great job! Love your channel!
Mari and Jerome, as always thank you for the very helpful demonstrations. Might you consider more demos for beginners with "forgiving" trees, such as sheffleras and olive trees?
Absolutely fantastic. I love schefflera. It is so forgiving and looks beautiful. This was a very nice styling. Waiting for update.
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow, beautiful work. I look forward to the future of this tree :)
You should look in to Akebia quinata- chocolate vine. Same type of leafs (but smaller) and a gorgeous flower.
Beautiful 😊
Such great advice thank you
Beautiful work! Greetings from Italy!
Great work Jerome, it looks beautiful. Thanks for another great tutorial. Keep growing. Thanks
Thank you Matt! Cheers!
Excellent work, lots of tips to take. Would love to see the follow up vid in a year 👌👍
Thanks! You got it!
Very nice .... good my friend 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿❤❤❤
What a nice demonstration making bonsai, completed details. Thanks !
Thank you for watching Jenelyn!!
i have just started to bonsai schefflera! beautiful piece you have found. i want buy a larger one from the nursery, I just don't have the space for it.
Awesome video! Can we see an update on this? I’ve got a mature schefflera (pre bonsai) that I’ve been debating working with. I’d love to see where it is now. Thank you!!
Great Video, most informative and easy to understand. For interest, why do you leave the leave the stem when removing the leaves and just not remove it to the branch? cheers!
petioles photosynthesize instead of leaves
Nice work Jerome, keep it up!
Thank you Carlos!
Nice
Great looking tree! I have just started one now in winter, so its pretty dormant at the moment, thanks for all the great tips to develop this species!
Thank you Vincent! Good luck with yours!
Idol💓💓💓

Done so well, it will be interesting to see this tree after d new foliage develops, great work👍🤝
Thank you Mangesh! I should have new foliage within the next two weeks.
@@WeareTheBonsaiSupply thats great, please share a vedio, if possible, once d foliage is developed👍
Very good instructions. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
hi, how do you water and fertilize them?
Nice Video, good explanation, and pretty tree.
but temperatures in Fahrenheit... that is really tough for me as a scientist :D
I was told that the Hawaiian Umbrella uses Standard potting soil.
Always use bonsai soil. Standard potting soil is for gardening 🪴 🙂
Wonderful!i want to try i have one but where can i buy such kind of bonssi pot?
OK,👍
Nice job will see the progress 👍👍.
Beautiful demo🙏🙏🙏
Thank you! Cheers!
Did you getbitntha5 big in bondai soil or regular potting soil?
What is bonsai soil alternative? We don't have where I am. Thanks
Excellent job! How long to leave the wire/ guide wires on since those branches were so thick?
Good question Edward! I leave the wire on the branches until it starts to bite into the branches a tiny bit. If the branches don't stay in place I will re apply. The thinner wire will bite in first. The guy wire is left for about a year.
Tropical trees seem in general to be much more forgiving than cold hardy trees. Would you agree and do you have an idea of why this is.
Interesting that scheffleras can be bear-rooted when repotting. Are there other plants for which this is also true? Perhaps succulents like Portulacaria afra?
Hey Tora! Great question! not bare rooting is always the better practice. However, Schefflera, Bougainvillea, Ficus, dwarf Jade, Adenium and a few others are perfectly fine to bare root.
What does this plant look like now?
Awesome work, need to get me a schefflera
Thank you :) You should!
where can i get bonsai soil? im in hawaii you guys and home depot wont ship... :'(
Why do you leave the petiole when you defoliate?
Mine just had one big trunk at the bottom :/
Super
It's beautiful; but so painful 😫 💔 injustices against the nature 😢 💔
Awesome ideas. I don't like that your music is far louder than you are.
jerome do you use your fertilizer for this tree ?, i use it on mine it seems like the nitrogen might be too much for it
Yes, I use our 18,4,10. 🙂What do you mean by the nitrogen might be too much for it?
yeah it starts to discolor a bit to black @@WeareTheBonsaiSupply
@@Otakumadness that’s not usually fertilizer related. That’s more of a soil or lighting issue.
@@WeareTheBonsaiSupply thank you 🙏
Great and easy guide, I will find a scheffliiera and bring it home to work on . Darleneusa 14:43
I like the pot size, I repotted mine in a way bigger pot, next year I will downsize
👍👍👍
