Huh...I didn't realize that parallel branches should follow similar movement patterns, as you've demonstrated. I wish everybody else was as clear as you. Thanks.
Nice! Great instruction. Beautiful bonsai.
Thank you! Yours is the best video I've watched on starting a scheflerra bonsai. Great instruction ...detailed info with actual technique demonstration.
Thank you so much Ellie 🙏🌳
You're welcome. I've propagated several plants from the mother Scheflerra and plan to start my 1st Bonsai. Thank you for your great instruction. 👍
What an amazing bonsai, i really liked the way u defoliated n demonstrated the shaping process 👍👍👍👌
Always proper Jerome!
I even liked the little advertisement in there, haha!
Amazing work!!!!!! Tree looks 20 times better!!!
What an excellent tree! Great work!
Great work!
I'm very impressed. Really beautiful bonsai.
That's a beautiful tree! :)
The tree looks good and you did a good job. congrats!

Thank you Nigel 🙂

Nice work! Really nice pot selection. I live in Clearwater FL and those are all over the place. Most as hedges but some that stand alone are great. Keep up the amazing work! Both the work on the bonsai and education on the different types of bonsai. Keeps me coming back!
Lyle Fisher hey Lyle, thank you so much for the support 🙂
Maravilloso trabajo, My Friend
Always an educational and entertaining presentation, Jerome! Cheers, Dick from Vancouver
Muy bonita sheflera, y un trabajo espectacular.
Very insightful. I've got one schefflera pre bonsai and one material. I'm going to fuse them and try to recreate something similar to yours.
This is a beautiful tree. It's funny that it is called Dwarf and yet it's not so small. I'd like to own a schefflera but because I live in a tiny apartment I wouldn't be able to provide it with the best living conditions! One day!
I'm cleaning my root covered trunk with brush up to whitish green color and also heavily scraping beenith roots with toothpick making them fuse together.
Awesome Jerome! Your “dwarf” schefflera is a giant compared to mine. Great styling. Thanks
Matt Brennan hey Matt, be patient🙂
Amazing and huge schefflera! Been watching your channel for a while now, you do great work! We also love that you're animal lovers. Have a Happy new year!
Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
I have one 40 years old or so. Its in California so no banyan roots or multi trunk. Its one fat single trunk with a fantastic root system. I need to donate to the local Bonsai display at city park.
👌👌👌
What I miss? I had a decade old Elfin Schefflera with its tiny leaves looking much more like a dwarf big tree- but not as strong root system as the plain. My own fault it died. I haven't seen any for sale for years either.
LOL. versus two backs!! :))
Nexusr Nah you’ll be surprised that happens more often than you think 💭
@@WeareTheBonsaiSupply Yes that's completely true, you just chose a cool combination of words to describe it. At least it was the first time I heard it. I imagined a human that is all backs and it made me laugh. :))
I love your channel and your work.
Do the branches have any problem forming new growth on the wired branches? By this I mean, is there any growth inhibited by the wiring.
Great video. You are my best bonsai motivator. You have great experience and explanation skills.
Can you bonsai a virgated shefferla. Please let me know.
Thank you so much for your kind words Samuel! Yes, you absolutely can bonsai a variegated schefflera.
@@WeareTheBonsaiSupply Thank you very much ❤
Jerome I have a tree like your in a pot that is root bound, I like to turn it into a bonsai, can roots be cut in have of the size that it has?
Nice great 👍👌🌹 wat is India price that plant with pot price ?
Hi Jerome, another great tree! Did you say what happens to the green leaf stems? You leave them to dry off naturally? Thanks!
Hey Mark, yes, I let the tree naturally dry and shed them
hi! I have a very, very young dwarf schefflera. how big should I let it grow and should I be pruning it at all to prepare it for some moderate styling? I have plans to have it be my first bonsai. i only have one stem to work with and at the moment it is growing straight up in a pillar. any suggestions from anyone will be appreciated!
Nice video. Why do you defoliate your bonsai?
Did this tree start out as a grouping of three trees.
Gail Cinea single tree
Any tips for a dwarf Schefflera that was neglected? The soil dried out while I was out of office (I'm the only one who waters it and I forgot to take it home with me). :( The leaves looked very dry and started to shrivel. My co-worker believes 2 weeks went by without watering (possibly more). I watered it as soon as I saw it, but it doesn't seem to be recovering. It now looks more shriveled. Leaves are less dry, but are curling in and yellowing. The branches and trunk feel very hard, and have some vertical lines/grooves in them like they are shrinking in/shriveling. It is not dropping leaves yet. Is there anything I can do to save it? I have been caring for it since we got in late 2016, but I have never taken it home to re-pot it. I really don't want it to die. His name is Lil' B.
I have a really nice Schefflera that I got from FukuBonsai. I've been letting it grow like crazy over the last few months in my grow tent and it's about time to trim it. I'm curious, why do you leave the stems when trimming?
Hey Joe, we leave the stems for dieback.
@@WeareTheBonsaiSupply what's that mean exactly? Lol
How long will it take for the aerial roots to reach the soil on this plant?
Hey Brian! In the summertime, about 2-3 weeks.
is this bonsai made by one tree or it is many trees put together?
Hey David, It is made from one tree
@@WeareTheBonsaiSupply thank you for answering
So how much full sun can this tree take per day ? I keep hearing it can’t take full sun just light
They love full sun, the more sun the better! When you keep it n full sun, they get smaller leaves and grow a lot more aerial roots.
The aerial roots look so nice. Any recommendations about the amount of direct sun I should leave it ?
Is that one tree or a clump planting?
Andrew Ogawa hey Andrew, it is only one tree
We are The Bonsai Supply very impressive
What time a year is best to defoliate?
Matthew Stevens hey Matthew, it depends on species and climate. Also, you should only defoliate a tree that is very healthy and never defoliate a conifer
What's the best time to defoliate a dwarf sheffelera
I live in western nc
grrrrrrrrrrr handsome
Potting mix ?

What is the cost of this bonsai
Hey Dan, this tree is still available. Please email us at info@thebonsaisupply.com
Looks a lovely tree, but personally i don't think the wiring made much difference.
Just wait another couple of years, doing this process over and over again will turn this tree into a very niece specimen one day
@@WeareTheBonsaiSupply It already is a great tree.
